Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 959: Chapter 957: Preparation for the Ritual

Gu Xi still didn’t know what was happening on Amirka’s side.

In fact, he felt quite relieved entrusting these matters to them.

For Gu Xi, as long as he didn’t suffer losses, what did it matter if players attacked; he wasn’t inexperienced in killing other players.

At this moment, Gu Xi was flipping through the ”Blood Crown Book,” assisting Eve in order to speed up her progress in deciphering it.

Eve was constantly comparing the contents of several books she held.

Then she lifted her head and scratched her nearly bald head.

”Sir, it’s nearly done.”

”Then let’s start directly. First, settle the Blood Dragon Crown. We’ll arrange for a batch of Witch Demons to come and study the rest when we return to Yalidov City.”

In earlier research, Eve had confirmed one thing: this ”Blood Crown Book” was indeed a vampire-oriented altered version.

As for what the original version was like, it’s not yet possible to trace back. On one hand, Gu Xi didn’t give Eve much time, and on the other hand, Eve’s own level was insufficient.

All she could do was use some previous setups in the ”Blood Crown Book” and incorporate some things provided by Gu Xi into the ritual.

However, Gu Xi could provide many things this time; aside from the Level 34 Flood Dragon corpse that had already been transported, Gu Xi also sent over ten Level 15 and above Bone Dragons.

In Gu Xi’s view, the previous existence of the Blood Dragon was already a part of the ritual.

Without a Blood Dragon at hand, and ten Blood Dragons being crucial to the ritual in front of him, Gu Xi simply sent over ten Bone Dragons.

As for the Soulless Blood Corpse buried under the throne before, it wasn’t actually necessary.

That was merely a means to mitigate the backlash of failure after the Duke of Wailing’s ritual had failed initially.

Gu Xi had already provided a Flood Dragon corpse, so there was no need for a Soulless Blood Corpse whose level could not rise.

Then there was the matter of the Assembly Hall.

Originally, this ritual had no direct connection to the Assembly Hall.

But Eve had already analyzed that the reason for the previous failure, aside from the poor quality of energy, was also due to the fact that the Assembly Hall had already been constructed by then.

Even the entire Screaming Castle was complete at that time.

Back then, the ritual seemed like forcing a new system into an already complete pattern.

It would be strange if nothing went wrong.

Thus, the Duke of Wailing’s ritual only got halfway, taking the entire Screaming Castle with it.

After discovering this issue, Gu Xi couldn’t help but sigh that his initial choice was correct.

At least he hadn’t rushed to activate the Assembly Hall, otherwise, the failure rate of the ritual would’ve been much higher.

As for the other ritual steps, Gu Xi provided the aura and energy, and the equipment components were already complete.

Now, what’s lacking is a user of the equipment.

If it were other Orange Armors, Gu Xi would definitely use it himself.

But the Blood Dragon Crown before him, Gu Xi understood, might not reach the Orange Level, and using it would bind him to the Screaming Castle.

He could only leave by giving up the Blood Dragon Crown.

Gu Xi had a city larger than this, Yalidov City; he didn’t need to trap himself here.

Thus finding a suitable hero to guard here became Gu Xi’s choice.

The three leaders under Gu Xi couldn’t be used indiscriminately.

As for the heroic level below the leaders, there was no trustworthy figure associated with the Vampire here.

Even if there were, Gu Xi was not willing to hand an Orange Armor to a hero; he wasn’t that wealthy yet.

At this point, Gu Xi even thought about whether to call over one or two lords under Eldest Princess Anna.

Someone like the Lord of Mercury.

But Gu Xi ultimately shook his head; the Eldest Princess Anna’s Grand Princess Council was incomplete, and she was severely understaffed, overwhelmed with numerous tasks.

Pulling someone from her staff might just drive the Eldest Princess Anna crazy in the end.

Right at that moment, Dietrich returned.

”Sir, the defenses inside the Screaming Castle have been arranged, I’ve checked all the buildings, most are usable.”

Seeing Dietrich arrive, Gu Xi scratched his head, initially thinking he had enough heroes under him.

But now it seemed that in such major events, there were really only a few who could be relied upon.

In the end, Gu Xi had to abandon his initial thought, turning to ask his strongest leader.

”Dietrich, what do you think if I let you manage this city?”

”Please give the order, Sir.”

”Alright, then you’ll manage first, once I find suitable personnel, I’ll come replace you.”

Seeing Dietrich’s reply, Gu Xi finally made a decision.

Dietrich had proven his strength, so let him take the stage.

At this time, Eve glanced at Dietrich, then nodded.

”Go sit on the throne, I’ll conduct the ritual.”

Before Dietrich could respond, Gu Xi said, ”Regarding your original forces and that hero of yours, I’ll arrange to have them relocated to you as soon as possible.”

Dietrich then approached the water pool, where the throne was lost.

At this time, Eve was directing various Undead to make arrangements.

The Flood Dragon Gu Xi sent was thrown into the pool, looking like a small mountain.

Surrounding the Flood Dragon were ten Bone Dragons, selecting positions that suited themselves before preparing to fall.

The Undead under Eve were throwing bright red crystals found in the treasury and special negative energy provided by Gu Xi into the pool one by one.

The components that had been controlled by Death Incarnation-Titan began to fly by themselves.

Death Incarnation-Titan no longer needed to bother with these matters, focusing solely on controlling his Death Land.

And Gu Xi wasn’t waiting in place at this time.

The ritual’s preparations were still incomplete, and arrangements here needed more time, so Gu Xi went directly to the newly repaired Soul Summoning Tower, intending to convert all the corpses in the Screaming Castle into the Undead.

Gu Xi planned to leave all these Undead for Dietrich, to help populate the Screaming Castle.

Additionally, a batch of Vampires previously double-converted into Undead was to be transferred over.

These matters needed swift handling, as the preparation time for the ritual wasn’t long; if these things aren’t done before the ritual starts, arranging personnel afterwards would be troublesome.

Gu Xi didn’t want to replicate the Duke of Wailing’s previous incomplete ritual.

His goal was to complete an Orange Armor through the ritual and strengthen his strongest leader, Dietrich.
