Chapter 943: Chapter 941: The Vampire Army

Soul Summoning Skill!

With the cooperation of the Soul Summoning Tower and the Necromancer, this wave of Soul Summoning Skill is quite successful.

The success here does not refer to summoning the Undead. With Gu Xi’s current level in Soul Summoning Skill, the summoning success rate is nearly 200%, making failure impossible.

This success refers to them easily transforming into suitable Vampires.

These Vampires are the most basic type, unarmed and fighting solely with their arms.

However, upon their appearance, they displayed the most basic combat abilities of Vampires, transforming into bats for flying, attacking with claws, and replenishing life after blood-sucking.

Their appearance directly changed the entire battlefield dynamics.

The number of Twisted Blood Slaves in the sky was decreasing, while the number of Vampires was increasing.

At this moment, a new Battle Banner was raised at the Steel City Gate.

It was an equilateral triangle composed of blood-red, dark cyan, and gray-white roses.

This was Di Mi’s Battle Banner.

It seems Di Mi already knows the situation outside and understands that this is a great opportunity for her.

To this, Gu Xi raised his hand and opened the Steel City Gate’s access, allowing Di Mi and her forces to march out.

When Di Mi led the Rose Corps out, Gu Xi observed the status of Di Mi’s forces.

After this round of replenishment, Di Mi’s Red Blood Camp had filled its ranks.

Due to limited time, the Vampires in the Red Blood Camp were also unarmed, but their condition was clearly stronger than the Vampires Gu Xi had just summoned.

It’s unclear what method Di Mi used; even the Vampires in her team appeared noticeably larger.

”Master, please use me for this battle.”

Seeing the glint in Di Mi’s eyes, Gu Xi couldn’t help but smile.

”I will, but not now. Your forces have replenished, but charging in like this would fall into the enemy’s trap. I will draw the enemy’s attention here while you circle this Screaming Castle.

Inspect the castle’s weaknesses.

Additionally, choose a suitable location.”

Di Mi, having experienced many battles, knew exactly what Gu Xi meant by a suitable location.

It seems Gu Xi doesn’t just plan to occupy the territory of Screaming Castle; he intends to establish Satellite Cities here.

Judging by the size of Screaming Castle, such an idea is feasible.

Initially, Gu Xi hadn’t expected this situation at Screaming Castle, clearly an abandoned Vampire city.

If he can occupy it, he can save the Energy Core, allowing him to establish a settlement here.

If he can find a few more suitable locations, Gu Xi actually has the tools for establishing such settlements.

He could fully utilize those tools.

Following Gu Xi’s order, Di Mi quickly led her forces forward.

At this point, Gu Xi glanced again towards Screaming Castle before turning to order, ”Let Amirka lead the team out.”

As Gu Xi spoke, there was another reaction from Screaming Castle; this time, it was not Twisted Blood Slaves flying in the sky but something akin to skinned wolves.

There were significantly more of them, and they appeared maddened, rushing forward recklessly, seemingly wanting to shred everything to pieces.

The number of these wolves was greater than the Twisted Blood Slaves.

There were almost ten thousand, and despite no one directing them, they charged towards Gu Xi.

From their charging speed, Gu Xi could infer they had charged out along with the Twisted Blood Slaves.

They were just slower and moving on ground, so they fell behind.

But that was fine; Gu Xi faced no pressure in battle.

Glancing at the remaining Twisted Blood Slaves in the sky, Gu Xi decisively ordered, ”Undead Corps advance, Zombies in front, Skeleton Soldiers behind, prepare for enemy impact.”

Under Gu Xi’s command, the Undead Corps commenced their advance, while batches of Undead Corps emerged from the Steel City Gate.

This time, the forces included primarily the Zombie Corps Gu Xi hadn’t previously deployed.

On the march, Zombie Corps are not very useful.

But now for defense, the Zombie Corps is the most effective force. A platoon of zombies led by a Level 19 Zombie entered the battlefield.

These zombies had no skills against air but had sufficient Defense Power against those skinned wolves.

Despite their slow movement speed, they set up formations swiftly.

By the time these wolves reached the battlefield, they had already formed a massive defensive ring outside Gu Xi’s City Wall.

When the wolves hit the Zombie Corps’ defensive line, they immediately wielded hand axes, kitchen knives, longswords, and other weapons, chopping down forcefully.

[Zombie Axe Soldier (Summoned Creature) kills Mad Blood Beast (Level 8), you gain 1 point of Experience (1 point overflow stored), Summoned Creature gains 91 Experience points.]

[...]

As the two forces clashed, wave after wave of information popped up in front of Gu Xi.

The Zombie Corps steadily and resolutely advanced, effortlessly killing large numbers of Mad Blood Beasts each time.

From the current situation, it’s clear that Gu Xi’s forces are holding the upper hand.

Meanwhile, the Ghosts in the sky and Skeleton Soldiers behind the Zombies are advancing with weapons raised, and these Mad Blood Beasts likely won’t last much longer.

At this moment, however, Gu Xi looked towards Screaming Castle, noticing a blood cloud forming in the sky above.

The blood cloud resembled Isabella’s actions during Blood Replenishment, though slightly different.

Before the blood cloud could expand, a strong scent of blood assaulted the senses.

Simultaneously, Gu Xi noticed a group of Vampires riding Warhorses appearing inside the thick blood cloud.

These Vampires weren’t the Death Knight type of Heavy Armor Soldiers, but were in Leather Armor, cloaked in blood-colored cloaks, wielding long spears seemingly made of flames.

The number of Vampire Cavalry wasn’t large.

Only over three hundred, but as they emerged, the blood cloud followed them.

”Master, these...”

The newly arrived Amirka happened to see the cavalry charging out from Screaming Castle and couldn’t help but comment.

”Don’t look at them; they’re not suitable for you. Once transformed, assign them to Di Mi.”
