Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 936: Chapter 934: Special Enemies

As time ticked by, Gu Xi finally deployed all of his forces.

Besides the initially summoned Bone Locusts and Bone Dragons, and other than the Black Players’ Lich Corps and Conversion Undead Combat Squad later on, Gu Xi also deployed nearly ten thousand Undead troops.

These forces were all non-organized Undead under Gu Xi’s command.

Their levels were all above Level 7, a bit short compared to some already regimented battalions, but compared to other Undead, they were quite a good force.

Among these nearly ten thousand Undead, there were over five hundred Warrior Level Undead and more than one hundred and fifty Boss Level Undead.

It could be said that although Gu Xi couldn’t command every single Undead, he could easily handle ordinary battles.

Once these Undead were released, Gu Xi, who had had enough rest, then set off again.

At this time, Gu Xi had already moved out of the area marked on Liu Yingguang’s map.

The road ahead had no map to guide it; Gu Xi needed to pave his own path, confirm the direction, and then proceed.

For this operation, Gu Xi was more cautious than before.

He first sent out a large number of scout troops to explore the way ahead.

However, Gu Xi’s most suitable scouting Gargoyle was not brought this time, so the scouts sent ahead were mainly from the Ghost Corps.

The reason for temporarily abandoning the Gargoyle, the most suitable scout, was because Gu Xi’s forces expanded dramatically during this period, whereas the Gargoyle Squad still relied on Barracks training; not to mention a specialized Hero, there wasn’t even a Boss.

Even if they gathered some information, communication would be slower.

After comparing the alternatives, Gu Xi finally chose the most commonly used Undead scout unit, the Ghost Scout.

After dispatching the Ghost Scouts, Gu Xi waited half an hour before leading his team along the path.

At this time, along the path ahead, marks left by the Ghosts had already been made.

These marks recorded the direction, whether there were forks ahead, if there were enemies, any player settlements, or native gathering places of this world, and so on.

Based on these marks, Gu Xi could accurately judge if he was advancing in the wrong direction.

Would there be any danger?

Although this pace was slower than moving through the swamp before, it was more stable.

Most importantly, as Gu Xi gradually went deeper, the surrounding trees became more abundant.

In many places, a clear path might suddenly become blocked by trees, vines, or other reasons.

If there were no advanced preparations, turning back to find another route would still take time, ultimately delaying Gu Xi.

Unlike now, where by observing the marks, any problem could be seen; with so many Undead under his command, they didn’t have to stop unnecessarily, and any obstacles could simply be cleared away.

Continuing like this, Gu Xi and his troops advanced for about four to five hours and were about to exit the forest when suddenly the Ghosts scouting ahead launched a huge signal flare into the sky.

As the flare ascended, Gu Xi heard an explosion sound from the front.

The scene made Gu Xi’s heart tighten.

An ambush?

Encounters with wild creatures along this journey weren’t uncommon.

But Ghost Scouts usually lured wild creatures back to Gu Xi’s main forces, where they were easily dispatched.

However, such a scenario of sending up a signal flare for help had never occurred before.

”Bone Dragon, go check it out.”

Faced with the situation, Gu Xi immediately issued orders, and the Conversion Undead Combat Squads around him left at the same time, swiftly disappearing into the woods.

These Conversion Undead were not suited for large legion battles, and staying with the main forces reduced their combat effectiveness.

On the contrary, with them disappearing into the woods, Gu Xi’s forces’ combat power was unleashed.

By then, the Bone Dragon Corps had already flown to the location where the Ghost Scouts sent the signal.

Here, an entire Ghost Corps under Gu Xi had been cleared out entirely.

On the battlefield, five diverse players were clearing everything.

Among these five players, there were two Death Knights and one Undead Mage; the other two included one Elf Archer and one Demon Heretic with red skin.

Kicking aside a clump of Ghostified powder with his foot, the Demon Heretic put down a double-edged War Axe larger than his body, grumbling in discontent.

”I mean, when will this end? How long do we have to stay here? Haven’t you noticed Bailian City’s forces are on the move? Why aren’t we leaving yet?

If we delay any longer, the last passage will also be out of control.

I’m telling you, even though I can open the Gate of Hell, without an exit point, no matter what, I can’t take people out of the Game World.”

At this, the Elf Archer raised his head slightly, ”You think I don’t want to? But the Third Elder, anchored in this world, hasn’t arrived. We must wait for the Third Elder before we can leave.

Now we’re like nails; even in death, we must stay nailed here.”

”Hey boss, when will this end? Why don’t we just leave? With Ah San here to open gates, we can go anywhere.”

Upon hearing the Elf Archer’s words, a Death Knight couldn’t help but say, ”If we stay here any longer, I’m afraid the enemies we’ll soon face will be even stronger.”

”So what? We boarded this ship, took the first step, and can’t get off now.

I’m telling you directly, opening gates is easy; the hard part is stepping into them.

Our power is bound to this world.

In other Game Worlds, our power will revert to its original Level 3 or 4, perhaps even lower; you don’t want all these years’ efforts to be wasted, do you?

Sacrifices from the Fusion Association are necessary to resolve this issue.

I’ve heard that sacrificing one corresponding player allows ten matching Black Players to transfer out.

We’re getting this chance because we need to protect the Third Elder’s escape. Others probably don’t even know about this.

So don’t say anything stupid; just wait patiently.

I’ve heard the Third Elder is coming soon. When the time comes, we’ll leave together, hopefully escaping to a relatively safe Game World.

By then, we’ll at least have another five hundred years to live.

Unlike those clueless fools who probably won’t even make it through this year.”

Listening to the Elf Archer, the others fell silent. As the Elf Archer said, they were already on the ship, and there was no jumping off.
