While those five players were discussing how to leave this damned game world, the Bone Dragon had just flown nearby.

The Undead Mage who was busy cleaning the battlefield was the first to sense something was amiss.

Among these five, the Elf Archer was their core and leader, and the Demon Heretic was responsible for opening portals.

The two Death Knights were the main combat force.

And the Undead Mage was responsible for dealing with scattered enemies; naturally, after the battle, he had to clean the battlefield as well.

At this moment, while the other four were chatting, only he was still busy with other matters.

Thus, when the Bone Dragon flew over, he was the first to sense something wrong.

The Undead Mage immediately jumped up, and four Contracted Undead quickly appeared around him.

This was the normal number of Contracted Undead for an Undead Mage around level 15.

From his subordinates, one could discern that this Undead Mage didn’t follow the traditional Soul Summoning Skill path.

Nor did he follow the common Poison path, but rather chose the Ice route.

This route was quite rare among Undead Mages.

However, this made him a kind of cannon in the Undead Mage category, with considerable destructive power during attacks.

His Contracted Undead naturally reflected this aspect.

Two of them were directly Ice Mages; one was a Skeleton Mage, the other a Corpse Witch.

Of the remaining two, one was a Ghost, and the other a Zombie.

These two also followed the Ice Element path.

As they surrounded him, the temperature around the Undead Mage significantly dropped.

A layer of ice even formed on the ground.

The Undead Mage’s sudden action prompted the others to react as well; the Elf Archer dragged the Demon Heretic back—critical for their escape, as there couldn’t be any mishaps here.

Simultaneously, the two Death Knights swiftly mounted their horses; one shimmered with a bright red glow, while the other donned a purple cloak.

But just as they were about to act, everyone froze.

Over five hundred Bone Dragons flew out from behind the forest.

The sheer number of Bone Dragons even blocked out the sky.

Faced with such a scenario, even the Elf Archer, who had already drawn his bow, was stunned.

”Retreat!”

At this moment, the Undead Mage reacted quickly; he immediately understood the situation involving the Ghosts they had just killed.

”Those ghosts were scouts—the Bone Dragons are the real army, run!”

The Undead Mage’s words caused the Elf Archer’s expression to twist.

”Liu Hui, my mind is confused, give me an Ice chill to calm me down.”

Hearing this, the Undead Mage raised his hand and struck his four companions with a blast; a cold wind blew onto their faces.

Under the cold wind, different degrees of frost appeared on the faces of the four.

But it also suppressed their impulse to rush out and confront the Bone Dragons.

Other black players witnessing this maneuver would surely be alarmed, as black players tend to gradually adopt the game character mindset.

Faced with unbeatable enemies, they lacked the fleeing instinct, recklessly charging forward instead.

Yet Liu Hui’s icy move made these warped black players pause their suicidal charge against the Bone Dragons—clearly something distinct was at play here.

However, Liu Hui didn’t have the luxury to ponder these matters now.

His power could only keep people clear-headed for a few minutes; if they didn’t escape now, it wouldn’t be long before they’d fall into the mindless battle against the overwhelming Bone Dragons like other black players.

This was essentially suicidal.

Five of them combined could only manage ten Bone Dragons, and there were clearly several hundred Bone Dragons present.

No need for a strength comparison; any rational person could see they’re outmatched.

Only black players with a game character mindset would foolishly charge to their deaths.

Now that they’ve regained their composure, they mustn’t act recklessly anymore.

”Run!”

A Death Knight galloped to Liu Hui’s side, picked him up, and sped away.

The other Death Knight helped the short-legged Demon Heretic.

As for the Elf Archer, his speed in the forest wasn’t exactly slow.

But their retreat speed was still somewhat slow.

As soon as the Bone Dragons flew in, they pinpointed the five black players below.

The leading Double-headed Bone Dragon didn’t bother with the dense trees below, charging down and knocking over many trees nearby, pursuing the Elf Archer.

Seeing this situation, the Elf Archer couldn’t resist and turned to shoot an arrow at the Double-headed Bone Dragon.

The arrow knocked the Double-headed Bone Dragon away a certain distance.

But the frost on the face of the Elf Archer had completely disappeared.

Turning his body backward, the Elf Archer impulsively charged toward the Bone Dragons.

As he charged, he relentlessly shot arrows, each step launching another arrow at a Bone Dragon.

Every arrow forced a Bone Dragon back.

Against 8th level Bone Dragons, he even killed them outright with one arrow.

But the issue was that the Elf Archer wasn’t a close combat unit, and Gu Xi’s Bone Dragon, descending from above, brought an impact that knocked over most of the nearby trees.

The Double-headed Bone Dragon lying on the ground flipped over again, lunging at the Elf Archer.

The Elf Archer attempted to block the Bone Dragon’s mouth with a backward hand.

But his power wasn’t strong enough; the Double-headed Bone Dragon was one of Gu Xi’s most powerful assets.

A bite immediately tore off the Elf Archer’s arms.

Then several Bone Dragons closed in, spraying wildly at the Elf Archer’s location.

Under the Dragons’ breath, the momentarily impulsive Elf Archer lost all of his life force, his corpse turned into a mummified shell.

Meanwhile, the two Death Knights had already fled over a thousand meters with the Undead Mage and Demon Heretic.

The frost on their faces was also retreating.

They had received news of the Elf Archer’s death, and now all black players felt a compulsion to charge back.

But they understood it was useless to go back.

With their level of power, charging back would only end in the same fate as the Elf Archer.

At present, they could only rely on the speed of the Death Knights’ steeds.

Only by escaping the Bone Dragons’ attack range would they stand a chance of survival.

Yet as they rushed another seven to eight hundred meters, the Bone Dragons flying behind had already caught up again, led by a Ghost Dragon this time.

Under its lead, all Earth Vein Ghost Dragons prepared their Dragon Breath, spraying it toward the fleeing enemies below.
