Time on the train always passes quickly. There weren’t any unexpected incidents along the way, which left Gu Xi a bit disappointed as he hoped for some excitement.

But it’s easy to understand. On such an important route connecting major cities, the high-ups in Ancestor City would definitely keep tight security.

Just looking at the fact that each car is attended by Angels shows how much they value the train.

Anyone who dared to mess with this train might not even be able to play as a player in the game, according to the people of Ancestor City.

So for this entire trip, Gu Xi spent his time looking at the scenery from the balcony, reading in the reading room, and resting in his room.

He rarely stepped out of his few square meters of space. Even when he was hungry, Angel Lin would help fetch the meals.

All the food came from the train’s dining car.

While he couldn’t order specific dishes, the meals delivered were much tastier to Gu Xi than the ones in Yalidu City.

Also, they were quite comprehensive in nutrition.

The most important thing was that, after one or two meals, the dining car would gauge Gu Xi’s preferences.

They would adjust the meals according to Gu Xi’s tastes.

Makes Gu Xi eat very comfortably.

Unlike the kitchens and taverns in Yalidu City, which never bothered to adjust their recipes for guests.

I can’t imagine who would even eat at those lousy places.

If Gu Xi weren’t currently lacking in influence, he would want to invite the train’s chefs to Yalidu City to cook for him.

Besides these, Gu Xi also noticed the scenery outside the train’s balcony.

Even though players were thrown deep into the game, they still tried to maintain the dignity expected of them.

Every city has its own style while trying to keep a unified sense of reality.

From afar on the train, no matter how the nearby scenery changes, Gu Xi could always find something familiar in the distant cities.

It was clear that these cities, more or less, were influenced by something.

For ordinary people, they might just think the cities look familiar.

But for Gu Xi, who has a city of his own, the situation was more apparent.

In Gu Xi’s eyes, the existence of every city was quite interesting.

It allowed him to learn more.

During these few days, Gu Xi thought a lot and even shared some of his thoughts with Luna through the special mirror on his wrist.

He sent some of the things he saw to Luna.

As for whether Luna could glean something from it, that wasn’t Gu Xi’s concern.

Gu Xi only knew that Yalidu City’s current situation was on the verge of a transformation.

If they succeed in crossing this threshold, Yalidu City would offer him more support.

If unable to cross it, Yalidu City would revert to its former state, with seven different periods of Yalidu City scattered like broken sand.

If they crossed it, Yalidu City would become a huge city cluster, providing Gu Xi with ample assistance.

This wasn’t something Gu Xi could intervene in; he could only help Luna in this way.

He hoped Luna could successfully take this step with his help.

But at this moment, Luna seemed to be stuck in a contradictory status.

She would respond a bit to Gu Xi’s messages but didn’t explain the recent changes in Yalidu City to him.

Gu Xi also had no way to enter Yalidu City from the train, so he just let it be.

However, Gu Xi could somewhat gauge some things based on Luna’s tone.

Trying to infer the current situation of Yalidu City from it.

And each time, Lin would gently step outside the door, giving Gu Xi a quiet private space.

This made Gu Xi quite satisfied.

Because of this, after seven days, when Gu Xi was about to get off the train, he specially took some gold coins and gave them to Lin as a tip for the journey.

After getting off the train, Gu Xi stretched his body a bit. Sitting all day on the train, his back was a bit stiff.

Fortunately, now that he finally got off the train, he could stand up and move around a bit.

Gu Xi’s movements were a bit too big, accidentally causing a gust of wind.

The noise immediately caught the attention of many people.

They glanced at Gu Xi’s attire and a look of recognition flashed in their eyes.

They confirmed the newcomer was indeed an outsider fat sheep.

The green robe with a longbow didn’t match the style of Bailian City.

This definitely meant they came from some forest or elf city to gather materials.

Such people usually come with a purpose.

They must have a lot of money or resources.

So, in some people’s minds, they toyed with the idea of tricking them or pulling an Immortal Jump.

The gangs around the train station quickly received the news.

And those in charge of security, like the sheriff, also got word.

But after glancing at Gu Xi, they didn’t take it to heart.

In their view, such things couldn’t be managed.

After all, outside the train station, scamming newcomers was pretty common.

For an outsider fat sheep like Gu Xi, if he’s not careful, he could easily be taken on an unnecessary detour by a black cab or introduced to shady hotels and get scammed.

At worst, they might encounter an Immortal Jump or get dragged into some black market game for work.

Before any incidents happen, even if the sheriff knew such people existed, they couldn’t arrest them.

And once something did happen, the perpetrators had ways to cover things up. Even if something really occurred, they could easily push out someone to take the blame.

To genuinely root it out isn’t easy.

Besides, Gu Xi’s outfit clearly didn’t match Bailian City’s style of Undead Mage or Death Knight. If he’s daring enough to come alone to Bailian City, it shows he has considerable confidence, and speaking up might not result in anything good.

So, they merely gave Gu Xi a glance, subtly hinting at him.

Whether Gu Xi could understand that was left to his own perception and luck.

Gu Xi just happened to be one of those with not-so-good luck.

The sheriff’s hint went completely unnoticed by him.

After leaving the train station, the first thing Gu Xi did was hop onto a cab carriage.

”You know the Chaoyang Radiance Guild, right? Take me there.”

After getting used to using all sorts of high-tech transport in Pei Xin City, switching back to horse-drawn carriages gave Gu Xi a somewhat nostalgic feeling.

Sitting in the carriage, he drew back the curtain to look outside.

Bailian City was still as gloomy as ever, with no sunlight at all. For some reason, Gu Xi found this style quite comforting.

As he looked out the window, he unintentionally got lost in thought.
