Gu Xi was right, this battle is becoming increasingly absurd.

At first, he thought he was encountering a typical scam or petty theft near a train station.

Yet he was brought to a place reminiscent of a Ghost Realm.

Those people seemed to want to use him as a sacrifice.

Now, a high-level combatant of Level 20 had appeared.

This clearly seemed problematic.

This was not a large city like Pei Xin City.

Bailian City was just a remote Undead Town, and any Player reaching Level 20 could fight for the position of City Lord.

So, the Level 20 person in front of him was definitely not a typical Player, at least not a legitimate one.

Their existence presented a problem for Gu Xi.

After swiftly assessing his own combat power, Gu Xi made a decision.

To kill this interloper.

Following Gu Xi’s order, over thirty two-headed Hellhounds quickly charged out.

All of them were Hellhounds under Gu Xi’s command at Level 25 or above.

They were considered the elite among these Hellhounds.

Although they didn’t have a Hero or Boss leading them, they had strong enough combat experience.

Upon receiving the command, they knew exactly what to do.

As soon as the order was given, they charged into the breach, bursting through the unsettling aura and energy towards the position where the aura emerged.

With these Hellhounds charging out, the remaining Hellhounds also immediately rushed towards the Black Guild’s Guild Leader.

To them, the Guild Leader of the Black Guild was causing the current problem.

As long as they killed this Black Guild’s Guild Leader, even if the problem wouldn’t vanish, it wouldn’t escalate.

So their first move was towards the Guild Leader.

Upon realizing the Hellhounds charging at him, the Black Guild’s Guild Leader understood the situation he’d gotten into.

This group of Hellhounds attacking him, although not as powerful as those charging through the breach, were still over Level 20.

They all had combat auras unique to Hellhounds activated.

Hellhounds, as the Gatekeepers of the Netherworld, have only a limited selection of auras.

Guarding, group attack, quick response, targeted Undead Enhancement, and so on.

Now all auras were activated, enhancing themselves through the aura effects.

As the Hellhounds lunged forward, the Black Guild’s Guild Leader, who had just drained his mana and failed his spell, was left wide-eyed.

If earlier, when facing Gu Xi’s dispatched subordinates, he still had enough confidence, looking at so many aura-bearing Hellhounds now, his confidence vanished entirely.

The Black Guild’s Players had simply transformed into game characters, thinking like game characters.

But they weren’t stupid.

At first glance, they could determine whether they could defeat the enemy in front of them.

It’s just that while normal people realize they can’t win and flee, these players might stubbornly still face them.

The Black Guild’s Guild Leader was just like that now, clearly without confidence, yet still raising his Magic Staff and charging towards the Hellhounds.

As an Undead Mage, the Black Guild’s Guild Leader, when reaching Level 15, definitely chose Intelligence enhancements.

Now at Level 19, his close combat skills were not strong.

As he charged out, five differently colored Ghosts quickly appeared around him.

These Ghosts each displayed distorted upright motions, showing how strong their muscles were and how resilient their tendons seemed.

But they were Ghosts, without bodies, merely shadows, and they were trying to show muscles.

Could this be anything but foolish?

But the Black Guild’s Guild Leader didn’t feel there was anything wrong with his Contracted Undead.

He swung his Magic Staff against an oncoming Hellhound in a golf-like motion.

Soon, several of his Contracted Undead simultaneously pounced on the struck Hellhound, and the five Ghosts really managed to pin the Hellhound down.

They wielded different weapons, striking the Hellhound incessantly, seemingly wanting to beat it to death.

However, their combat power was significantly lower than the Hellhound’s, their attack speed was slower, and their numbers insufficient.

After a long fight, the Hellhound only lost some health.

Conversely, because they completely focused their attention on this Hellhound, the Hellhound was already being targeted by multiple Hellhounds now.

Four or five Hellhounds each targeted a single Contracted Undead.

And as for the Black Guild’s Guild Leader, more than a dozen Hellhounds surrounded him.

Though he flailed his Magic Staff quickly, the problem was that his Magic Staff lacked lethality, and he definitely wasn’t a close combatant, facing dogs from all directions with teeth bared.

Before long, the Black Guild’s Guild Leader was covered in wounds from bites.

Meanwhile, the Hellhounds that charged through the breach also located the aura’s position amidst chaotic energy and aura.

The being within the aura was a peculiar entity.

Though enveloped in a Level 20 aura, they appeared to only have a Level 6 capability.

In this energy-filled and chaotic aura-constructed passage, they were fully utilizing their aura, resisting the surrounding energy.

When noticing the Hellhounds leaping into the energy passage, this entity’s expression shifted.

”What’s happening here?”

This was the entity behind the Black Guild, a Player who entirely twisted themselves into a game character.

The Black Guild’s Guild Leader learned everything from him.

Unlike the Black Guild’s Guild Leader, this player couldn’t leave their chosen Game World anymore.

Stepping outside their Game World resulted in their present state: although a Level 20 aura surrounded them, their capability was merely at Level 6, and over time would further decrease, perhaps even down to Level 1, leading to death outside the game.

This time’s sacrificial plot was also arranged by them, with requirements specifically proposed—a task involving an Elf Shooter, imbued with the scent of fruit trees.

This was both to fulfill a task given by their superior and to provide the Black Guild’s Guild Leader with an opportunity to reach Level 20.

Yet it never occurred to them that a straightforward task, where the target was deceived from another city and merely needed to be killed and buried, failed.

The Black Guild not only failed the task but exposed their previously established base.

They even drew him outside the Game World.

What on earth was going on!
