”All done, Xiaoliu, you stay here and wait for the City Lord’s arrangement.”

As the Teleportation Gate into the game was stabilized, Teacher Zhang also put away his equipment and tools.

The Death Knights of the White Knight Order were all gathered in front of the Teleportation Gate, guarding this newly built gate.

Seeing that everything was settled, Gu Xi naturally didn’t stay longer. He took one last look at the Teleportation Gate and then left with his Illusion Magic Wand.

At this time, other Undead Mages who came to help were also dispersing in all directions.

Gu Xi watched them call out their respective mounts and naturally released his Holy Silver Evil Coffin as well.

Since everyone was using theirs, why shouldn’t he?

After mounting the Holy Silver Evil Coffin, nothing noteworthy happened on Gu Xi’s way back to the Chaoyang Radiance Guild.

At most, he saw some external personnel from the various guilds heading towards the direction of the Teleportation Gate.

Gu Xi also noticed that in the sky, birds carrying messages would occasionally fly by.

All these caught Gu Xi’s eye, and he realized that with just what happened, Bailian City would be in a hustle for some time.

Upon returning to the Chaoyang Radiance Guild, Gu Xi coincidentally saw the guild’s carriage returning.

Due to the relatively large size and peculiar style of Gu Xi’s Holy Silver Evil Coffin, the Chaoyang Radiance Guild hesitated to let it in for a moment.

Gu Xi had no choice but to jump off the Holy Silver Evil Coffin, take out his identification, and prepare to explain the situation.

”Gu Xi, you’re back?”

Just when Gu Xi was about to explain, he suddenly heard Li Xinghui’s voice from the carriage behind.

Gu Xi turned his head and saw Li Xingwei sticking his head out of the carriage, looking at the situation outside.

”Hey, Brother Li, where are you heading?”

”I just got back from the Nether Bone Wind Academy. Thanks to your achievements at the White Training Grand Ceremony, we got the seventh spot in the Nether Bone Wind Academy’s graduation season rankings.

I went to the Nether Bone Wind Academy to pick someone, and this is the student who ranked seventh this year.”

While speaking, Li Xinghui pulled back one of the curtains.

Gu Xi discovered a short-haired girl with red hair sitting inside.

Her skin was slightly tanned, her figure unremarkable.

On her shoulders were three bamboo-like skewers each.

Judging by her bare forearms, it was clear she was on the path of a Death Knight.

When the curtains of the car window were pulled back, she immediately looked at Gu Xi.

Amused, Li Xinghui said, ”See, he’s the top mage from the previous session. Nurtured by our guild, he’s almost ready to advance to Level 10... Wait, Gu Xi, are you about to hit Level 10?”

”Yes, everything needed, including the Bone Dragon, is ready. I came back to review the thought process for advancing to Level 10 and find a suitable place to surpass Level 10.”

”So soon? It’s been less than a year, right?”

Li Xinghui was also taken aback by Gu Xi’s situation.

But just after saying this, Li Xinghui realized there was a new guild member nearby.

Now was not the time to speak frivolously.

”You better hurry up. The guild has a dedicated Promotion Ground. Because of the Creation event, there’s a long queue for Promotion Ground applications. If you don’t go soon, it might take even longer.”

Gu Xi nodded to Li Xinghui in agreement.

”Then, Brother Li, I’ll head in first.”

Thanks to Li Xinghui’s endorsement, the gatekeepers at the Chaoyang Radiance Guild didn’t check Gu Xi too thoroughly.

They simply opened the gate to let him in.

Just as Gu Xi was about to enter the Chaoyang Radiance Guild, the female Death Knight who was with Li Xinghui suddenly spoke.

”You’re the top mage from the previous session, Senior Gu Xi?”

Gu Xi paused, ”Yeah, and you are?”

”I’m Li Yufeng from the Death Knight Class Three. Not sure if Senior Gu has heard of it?”

”Death Knight Class Three? I haven’t really paid attention. I was in the Undead Mage Class Six and wasn’t even the best.”

Gu Xi shook his head, but he knew Li Yufeng was trying to connect with him.

She just wanted to have someone she knew to help her in the Chaoyang Radiance Guild.

However, Li Yufeng wasn’t Gu Xi’s preferred style, and they were on different power levels.

If Gu Xi were still Level 4 or if Li Yufeng was Level 6, Gu Xi might consider teaming up with her.

But now Gu Xi really couldn’t take her along.

However, Liu Yufeng didn’t press the issue. She just greeted Gu Xi and then closed the carriage curtain.

After entering the Chaoyang Radiance Guild’s premises, Gu Xi put Li Yufeng’s matter behind him.

At this moment, Gu Xi noticed that some changes had occurred within the Chaoyang Radiance Guild.

The number of players inside the guild had noticeably decreased.

Meanwhile, the brightness of the Golden Crow circling in the sky had also significantly dimmed.

This forced the Chaoyang Radiance Guild’s premises to turn on the street lamps earlier than usual.

”What’s going on? It feels like something’s off with the time.”

Gu Xi looked up at the Golden Crow in the sky. For some reason, this time, the Golden Crow seemed somewhat faded.

It didn’t look like the solid creature he had seen before.

”What’s going on?”

Gu Xi was full of questions. At this moment, a player happened to pass by Gu Xi.

Seeing Gu Xi looking up at the Golden Crow in the sky, this player muttered a few words nearby.

”Don’t bother looking. The guild leader took a task and left. I’ve heard it’s a very hard task, ordered by the City Lord of Bailian City. The guild leader took all his Contracted Undead with him.

Even the usually dormant Golden Crow was taken along.

The Golden Crow in the sky is just an echo left by the guild leader’s Contracted Undead, which can only provide partial light. To return the guild to its usual state, we’ll have to wait until the guild leader returns.”

”Ah, the guild leader left?”

”Yes, because of the Creation event, many players from the major guilds have been dispatched.

Yet, some things in the city cannot just stop.

So, a lot of tasks were pressed onto each guild.

Even the guild leader had to personally take on some important tasks.”

As they spoke, Gu Xi noticed another batch of messengers flying in from outside.

The player who was talking with Gu Xi shook his head upon seeing this.

”More tasks being delivered — it’s never-ending.”

Even though he muttered about the situation, he still went in the direction the messengers were flying, looking like he intended to see what new tasks had just arrived.
