Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 175, Let Your Blood Splatter Here!

Translator: Silavin

Seeing the Abyss Crawler getting caught by such a Griffin using a Skill, Jin Zhu and Jin Chenghan’s faces both changed.

[Where did this Griffin come from? Isn’t Lu Fan’s Pet a Black Dragon?]

Jin Chenghan looked at the Griffin in the sky, and for some reason, felt it looked familiar, as if he had seen it somewhere before.

But, he did not have time to think much about it. After all, he had a Summoner Type Profession, which made him fragile . He typically relied entirely on his Summons to kill enemies. If his Summons got caught, he would be in a very passive situation.

Jin Chenghan’s face turned cold, and he hurriedly waved his staff again.

Instantly, two more Summoning Arrays appeared on his left and right. Clearly, he had more than just the Abyss Crawler as a Summon.

However, before these two Summoning Arrays could fully form, an angry shout suddenly came from Villa No. 2. “Do you really think this is Extremistis Country, where you can run wild as you please!?”

As soon as those words fell, before Lu Fan could even react, a figure had already rushed out from the villa, appearing in front of Jin Chenghan in the blink of an eye.

With a flash of cold light, Jin Chenghan had no time to react before he was pierced through the chest by a silver spear and lifted up.

*Ah!* Jin Zhu had just reacted when she saw her Big Brother get skewered by a spear. She was immediately frightened out of her wits, almost falling on her backside.

It was Chen Tianzhi who was quick-witted, quickly supporting Jin Zhu and retreating backward.

“Princess, be careful. The opponent is someone we cannot underestimate!” Chen Tianzhi’s face was pale as he stared intently at the burly man who had just skewered Jin Chenghan, Tu Jing.

He did not recognise Tu Jing, but from that one spear thrust, Chen Tianzhi could see that the other party was definitely an expert of extremely High Level! If he wanted to, killing him and Jin Zhu would be a matter of blinking.

Jin Zhu struggled and burst into tears. “Brother.. are you alright, Big Brother…”

Seeing Tu Jing pierce Jin Chenghan’s chest with his spear, Lu Fan could not help but click his tongue, thinking that the representative figure of the Upright Faction was so brutal, resorting to killing without a word. [The other party is, after all, a Prince of Extremistis Country. Does Senior Tu really not consider any of the consequences of his actions?]

At this moment, Jin Chenghan was lifted high, with dark green blood continuously oozing from the wound on his chest and his mouth.

When he saw the person who had skewered him, his face was full of shock, fear, and disbelief.

Jin Chenghan finally understood why that special Griffin in the sky looked so familiar.

Because it was the world’s only known Epic Sky Boss Mount – the Arctic Griffin King.

The person who owned it was the existence that made all countries tremble with fear – the Northern Marquis, Tu Jing!

Jin Chenghan had never seen Tu Jing and his Arctic Griffin King in person, but he had seen photos and videos of Tu Jing online and in the news. Therefore, just one look at Tu Jing, and Jin Chenghan immediately recognised him.

Instantly, Jin Chenghan felt his whole body go limp. With his strength, he naturally looked down on a Player that just had their Profession Change like Lu Fan. He even had the confidence to fight against a University professor. But facing Tu Jing, he had no thought of fighting at all.

After all, fighting Tu Jing? How was that any different from seeking death!?

“Recognise me?” When Tu Jing saw the change in Jin Chenghan’s expression, the corners of his lips slightly turned upwards. At the same time, he gently twisted the spear in his hand, immediately causing Jin Chenghan more pain, making him let out an agonised wail.

This spear thrusted into Jin Chenghan’s chest was almost certainly a fatal wound.

Tu Jing tore the wound open again, leaving Jin Chenghan with no strength to struggle. His limbs and head all hung limply, seemingly having breathed his last.

Seeing this scene, Jin Zhu made a heart-rending screeching cry. She also loudly cursed, saying that she would definitely make Dragon Country pay the price for her Big Brother’s death.

However, what happened next was unexpected.

Jin Chenghan’s body began to melt like burning rubber, gradually dissolving into a dark green sticky liquid, then dripping from the tip of Tu Jing’s spear onto the ground. This liquid emitted a foul odour that no one wanted to touch.

Tu Jing was not surprised by this. His expression was one of full disgust. He casually shook his hand, and all the green sticky liquid on the tip of the spear was flung to the ground, leaving the spear clean and tidy.

Tu Jing looked up at the sky, addressing the still struggling Abyss Crawler. “Come out, or I’ll kill this ugly piece of shit Monster too. If that happens, you won’t be able to revive, right?”

As soon as Tu Jing’s words fell, the Abyss Crawler stopped struggling. Instead, a gurgling sound came from its throat, as if something was stuck in its throat and about to be spat out.

Three seconds later, the Abyss Crawler made a *urgh* sound, and Jin Chenghan, covered in dark green sticky liquid, was spat out. He fell through the gaps in the Arctic Griffin King’s large net and crashed into the ground.

*Cough cough…* Jin Chenghan was in a terribly sorry state. After coughing heavily a few times, he struggled to stand up from the ground, needing to lean on his staff.

“Big Brother!” Jin Zhu immediately broke free from Chen Tianzhi’s grasp and rushed forward.

However, faced with Jin Chenghan covered in that dirty foul green sticky liquid, she could not bring herself to support him.

Jin Chenghan did not care about this. His gaze was extremely gloomy as he looked at Tu Jing and spoke. “You actually understand my Profession Characteristics?”

Tu Jing withdrew his spear and calmly stated. “What’s there to not know? Abyss Summoner, Third Profession Skill, Abyss Symbiosis. As long as one of your Summons is alive, you can revive from within them. This Skill is indeed troublesome to deal with, but as long as all your Summons are killed, you won’t be able to revive, right?”

Jin Chenghan remained silent.

Tu Jing thoroughly knew of the name and Effects of his Skill.

This level of intelligence gathering made Jin Chenghan’s heart tremble. Because even Jin Zhu did not know these things, yet Tu Jing knew everything.

[Seems like there are quite a few of his spies in Extremistis Country as well!]

“As expected of the Northern Marquis, truly formidable.” Jin Chenghan said in a deep voice.

“Haha!” Tu Jing heartily laughed, then suddenly struck out, sending a palm strike through the air.

It was not clear what Skill Tu Jing used, but a palm print appeared in mid-air, directly sending Jin Chenghan flying, causing him to continuously spit out blood.

This sudden change made Jin Zhu cry out in shock again, completely stunned.

Tu Jing’s palm strike was just a lesson, not intended to take Jin Chenghan’s life. So, after being hit by the palm, he struggled to stand up from the ground, and there was no life-threatening danger.

“You… why did you hit me!?”

“Why did I hit you? Fool! Don’t you know in your heart!?” Tu Jing sneered, “Previously when your Little Princess caused trouble in our Dragon Country, didn’t I already have someone deliver a message to your country? I clearly stated that anyone who dares to commit such evil within Dragon Country’s borders will be severely punished without exception! Were you so busy farming your Equipment Set in that Desert Corpse Forest Dungeon Instance that you didn’t know about this matter?”

Tu Jing once again revealed Jin Chenghan’s recent activities, shocking the latter once more.

Tu Jing ignored Jin Chenghan’s slightly terrified expression and continued. “I, who represent the demeanour of this great country, had let bygones be bygones for the previous incident. Yet, you two dare to come and cause trouble again. Let alone hitting you, even if I killed you, would the Jin Family of Extremistis Country dare to say a word to me?”

“You… you can’t kill me, and you can’t hurt me!” Although Jin Chenghan was afraid in his heart, he suddenly remembered that he had a ‘get out of jail free card’.

“I am Extremistis Country’s representative for the National Trial. If you dare to kill or hurt me, it would be deliberately interfering with the fairness of the National Trial Secret Realm! At that time, our Extremistis Country will declare to the world that you, Tu Jing, intended to assassinate me, the Extremistis Country representative, before the National Trial Secret Realm starts. When the other twenty-two countries jointly demand an explanation from you, can you give one?”

After hearing this, Tu Jing shook his head with a smile, and struck out with another palm, once again sending Jin Chenghan flying.

Jin Chenghan spat blood continuously. This time, he was no longer able to stand up. He could only point at Tu Jing while spitting blood. “You.. you…”

“What about me?” Tu Jing showed no fear at all, instead smiling, “Of course I know that before the National Trial starts, all country representatives should be protected. Anyone who intentionally harms these representatives would face the International Court.”

Jin Chenghan’s eyes widened. “If you know, then why…”

Tu Jing said. “It’s precisely because I know that even if I kill you today, nothing would be done to me. You dare to attempt to kill our Dragon Country representative before the National Trial begins. Isn’t it reasonable and justified for me to kill you?”

“What!?” Jin Chenghan was shocked and looked at Lu Fan, “You’re saying he’s Dragon Country’s representative!?”

Tu Jing nodded and said, “That’s right.”

Jin Chenghan’s face was full of disbelief.

However, it was not really his fault for not knowing. The fact that Lu Fan was the Dragon Country representative was only decided after Ruan Changfeng came to assess him. Before that, it was uncertain who the Dragon Country representative would be. Even if there were spies from other countries in Dragon Capital University, they dared not rashly send back unconfirmed information.

If Jin Chenghan had come to Dragon Capital University two days later, he would have received news confirming Lu Fan was Dragon Country’s representative. In that case, he would not have dared to make a move against Lu Fan.

It was as Tu Jing said, making a move against a representative being sent to the National Trial was a very sensitive matter. Being killed in retaliation would be entirely deserved.

This was even if Jin Chenghan was also a representative.

In other words, even if Tu Jing had really killed him just now, Extremistis Country would not be able to do anything about it!

Thinking of this, Jin Chenghan’s back was covered in cold sweat.

Seemingly sensing how frightened Jin Chenghan was right now, Tu Jing heartily laughed  and said, “You don’t need to worry, I won’t kill you today. This year’s National Trial is being held in Extremistis Country. If I killed you, with how much of a sore loser Extremistis Country is, they would most likely make a huge stink after the National Trial about me killing you, their greatest prodigy. Just thinking about it gives me a headache!”

“So, today, I’ll spare your lives and also give you a good lesson. This is Dragon Country! No one is allowed to run wild like you two. If it weren’t for the fairness and integrity of the National Trial, I would have slaughtered you already!”

After saying this, an overwhelming killing intent leaked out.

In an instant, Tu Jing’s entire aura changed. He was like a god of death walking out of mountains of corpses and seas of blood.

Such heavy killing intent made Jin Chenghan’s whole body tremble, while Jin Zhu was so frightened that she fell, sitting on the ground, not daring to make a sound.

Silavin: Epic Sky Boss Mount – Seems like Mobs in the outside world are also graded in the typical rarity grading system. Not sure how that works in comparison to Dungeon Instances’s difficulty rating. I wanted to keep things consistent but I believe this is what the author will stick to going forward.
