Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 154, This Item Panel Is Hard to Appraise

Translator: Silavin

The pair of bone wings were quite eye-catching. Just standing there, they would likely attract a lot of attention on the street. Fortunately, like helmets, these bone wings were Equipment that could be selectively hidden, so Lu Fan directly concealed them.

The middle-aged beauty beside him also recovered from her shock and began to furrow her brow. She bit her full lower lip as she appraised Lu Fan’s Flying Dragon King’s Bone Wings.

After about five minutes, the middle-aged beauty spoke. “Young man, this Level 60 Diamond Grade Item of yours is indeed excellent. This Item Panel could probably rank in the 30s in our Prosperous Heaven Auction House’s Treasure Catalogue. As for the price… in my opinion, it should be worth around 2 billion. If it were to be auctioned at our auction house, it could possibly fetch a sky-high price of 3 billion.”

She paused, then smiled: “But I think you definitely wouldn’t put such a good item up for auction. So, in terms of price, we should still calculate it based on 2 billion. If you’re willing to let our auction house include this Item Panel into our catalogue, we’re willing to pay you 60 million. What do you think?”

Lu Fan was very satisfied with this price. He found her appraisal to be quite fair. Moreover, being able to sell an Item Panel of an Equipment for the astronomical price of 60 million was like getting a gift from Heaven. Where else could you find such a good deal?

With this sum, he could even buy two more Gold Grade equipment.

So, Lu Fan gladly agreed, allowing the middle-aged beauty to include this Item Panel in the auction house’s Treasure Catalogue. However, Lu Fan chose to hide the Additional Skill, Dragon Language Unsealing. He did not want this to be disclosed publicly.

The Flying Dragon King’s Bone Wings were finally ranked 31st in the Treasure Catalogue. Due to the Flying Dragon King’s Bone Wings being ranked in the catalogue, the Hidden Profession Change Scroll that was originally ranked 100th was kicked out of the Treasure Catalogue.

Lu Fan did not think twice about the 60 million, directly having the middle-aged beauty transfer it to the Senior Sister. In this way, Lu Fan had repaid one-tenth of the massive 500 million debt.

Although she paid 60 million, the middle-aged beauty was clearly in a good mood after acquiring such a good Item Panel. She could not suppress the hanging smiles on the corners of her mouth.

“I really couldn’t tell that you were hiding such depths, young man.” The middle-aged beauty did not spare her praises. “Seems like with Xian’er’s introduction, our Prosperous Heaven Auction House has gained another big client. When you leave later, I’ll have someone give you a VIP Card for our auction house. With this VIP Card, our auction house won’t charge any handling fees for any of your transactions. If you have any more exceptional items in the future, feel free to continue selling their Item Panels to us. The prices will definitely be fair!”

Selling Item Panels had indeed given Lu Fan a taste of sweetness.  However, he did not seem to have any other items that could be included in the Treasure Catalogue.

[Perhaps the Dragon Summoning Bone Flute could have barely made it into the Treasure Catalogue before it was eaten, but since Xiao Cui had already eaten it, there is naturally no way for her to spit it out again.]

[Item Panels of Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui could be sold too. It went without saying that Item Panels of Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui would definitely top the Treasure Catalogue. That no Item Panel could shake their first and second positions for years or even decades to come. But I’ll never do that. I’m not that foolish. They are my trump cards, and even their Attributes must be kept confidential. Be it Xiao Ye or Xiao Cui, even if the other party offered the entire auction house to me, I would never sell their Item Panels. Even Item Panels of the Flying Dragon Kings are out of the question.]

Lu Fan was about to leave with the Senior Sister, but suddenly thought of something. [Although the Item Panels of my Pet Dragons cannot be sold, I do have one final item that would not expose much but could still fetch a sky-high price.]

Thinking of this, Lu Fan smiled and said to the middle-aged beauty: “Sister, I actually have another treasure whose Item Panel I can sell to you.”

“Oh? You have more exceptional items!?” The middle-aged beauty was both surprised and delighted. She was not expecting this friend Xian’er had brought in would be hiding such depths.

Lu Fan nodded and smiled. “That’s right. But… you might find it difficult to appraise.”

The middle-aged beauty laughed. “You jest, young man. I’ve been in this business for many years and can estimate the rough price for anything I see. Today, even if you could produce a Diamond or Epic Grade Item, I can appraise it. But speaking of which, you don’t really have an Epic Grade Item, do you?”

The latter part was said as a joke by the middle-aged beauty. She had been in this business for many years and had seen over a dozen Diamond Grade Items. As for Epic Grade Items, she had been fortunate enough to see two. So, she did not think Lu Fan could produce an Epic Grade Item or something of equivalent level. At most, it would be a Diamond Grade Item.

Still, any Diamond Grade Items were indeed precious. Any exceptionally useful Diamond Grade Item should be able to rank in the top ten of their Prosperous Heaven Auction House’s Treasure Catalogue.

In her mind, Lu Fan saying she would find it difficult to appraise was him underestimating her. She was naturally not angry about it. But she still felt the need to prove him wrong.

Hearing the middle-aged beauty’s words, Lu Fan shook his head and said. “It’s not an Epic Grade Item. Since you think you can appraise it, you can try. But, when I take this item out, it might cause a sensation. Your auction house can display the Item Panel, but I don’t want anyone to know that this item is in my possession.”

Hearing Lu Fan say his item was not an Epic Grade Item, but that it would ‘cause a sensation’ when taken out, the middle-aged beauty was even more convinced that Lu Fan would take out a Diamond Grade Item.

[He is young, after all, Any Diamond Grade Item would be very precious to him. But to think he would claim it is beyond my ability to appraise. He sure is underestimating me…] She covered her mouth and chuckled. “You can rest assured about that. I can guarantee that no one, no matter who they are, will be able to obtain client information from our auction house.”

The middle-aged beauty looked relaxed, but the Senior Sister’s expression became interesting after hearing Lu Fan’s words. She quietly pulled Lu Fan to the side and asked with uncertainty. “Junior Brother, you’re not… planning to sell Item Panels of your Pet Dragons, are you?”

“No, but it’s similar.” Lu Fan smiled.

This response left the Senior Sister confused. She had guessed Lu Fan was planning to sell the Item Panel of his Black Dragon. Although this auction house absolutely would not leak out any client information, Item Panels of his Pet Dragons absolutely could not be put up. After all, everyone at Dragon Capital University knew he was the only one who owns a Black Dragon.

Furthermore, if the Black Dragon’s Item Panel was to be made public, it would be equivalent to exposing most of Lu Fan’s trump cards. It would be extremely disadvantageous for him. After all, those that saw the Item Panel would learn of information that could be used to deal with him.

With how smart Lu Fan was, she knew he would not be foolish enough to make information about his Black Dragon public. It could be seen from his response. Nevertheless, she still had to double confirm. After all, if not the Black Dragon’s Item Panel, what Item Panel could be difficult for even a professional auction house owner to appraise?

The Senior Sister also fell into deep thought, not understanding what Lu Fan was up to.

Lu Fan had already weighed the pros and cons in his mind. He made an Item Panel of something he had been storing in his System Sub-Space and gave it to the middle-aged beauty, saying, “Madam, take a look at this. Can you appraise it?”

“Alright, let me see what exceptional item you have… My… My goodness!?” The middle-aged beauty took the Item Panel, and after just one glance, her entire body seemed to have been struck by lightning. She started to tremble.

Her complexion changed dramatically. Where was the mature and steady demeanour from before? Her elegance and composure all went down the drain in front of this Item Panel.

The Item Panel was simple, showing an egg, with very little description.

Dragon Egg: (Mythical Grade Special Item)

Description: Dragon Taming Skill can be used on it to tame it. Upon successful use, obtain Pet Dragon – Star Dragon King – Incarnation of Starlight (Infant Form)

There was no additional description of what a Starry Sky Dragon King was. However, just the terms ‘Dragon Egg’ and ‘Mythical Grade’ were enough to understand what this Item Panel represented.

This was a Dragon Egg, an Egg that could hatch a Giant Dragon!

Even Dragon Eggs like those of the Armoured Earth Dragon were already considered priceless treasures. Even the Royal Family of Extremistis Country would treat them as treasures, unwilling to sell them at any price, even if offered by another powerful force.

Lu Fan’s Dragon Egg, just from the ‘Mythical Grade’ rating, could be determined to be a Pure Blood Dragon Egg!

No one knew what kind of Dragon a ‘Starry Sky Dragon King’ was. But, without a doubt, if such a Dragon were to become a Pet, it would cause a sensation across the country. No, across the entire world!

If this was the Item Panel of the Starry Sky Dragon King itself, the middle-aged beauty might have fainted on the spot.

Just a Dragon Egg alone would not be able to reveal the full power of the Dragon Race. So, although her legs were trembling, she still managed to stand firm.

Even so, the Item Panel of this Dragon Egg was enough to make her marvel at how eye-opening it was. [To be able to see a Special Item like a Dragon Egg in my lifetime. Even if it is just an Item Panel, it is still a great fortune!]

Seeing the middle-aged beauty so flustered, the Senior Sister instinctively leaned over to take a look and was also stunned.

After a long while, she finally asked Lu Fan with a slight tremble in her voice: “This… this Item Panel, it’s not the Dragon Egg of your Black Dragon, is it? Don’t tell me, you have a Second Dragon!?”

Lu Fan smiled without answering, essentially confirming it.

However, Lu Fan did not mention that the Starry Sky Dragon King was actually his third Dragon. If counting the two Flying Dragon Kings, it would be his fifth Dragon.

Silavin: The heck. Author added a new Legendary Grade… For now, going to remove the Legendary Grade and stick to the old grading System. The Original Epic Grade is pushed down to Diamond Grade and Legendary Grade is Epic Grade. This also makes more sense cause the bone wings are Diamond Grade, which is just below Epic. Furthermore, the top item on the Catalogue is an Epic Grade staff. Doesn’t make sense to have a Legendary Grade at this point.
