Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 171, In Dragon Country, I Dare to Stir Up Trouble

Chen Tianzhi followed behind the two. Seeing that they intended to provoke Lu Fan at his doorstep, he could not help but step forward and anxiously say, “Princess, this isn’t appropriate, is it? This is Dragon Capital University. Bringing outsiders to cause trouble here is no small offence…”

Jin Zhu turned back and glared at Chen Tianzhi, saying in disdain. “Do you have any right to speak here?”

Chen Tianzhi felt bitter in his heart and dared not speak again.

At this moment, Jin Chenghan noticed Chen Tianzhi following behind them. With a calm gaze, he asked, “Are you the other Dragon Tamer, Chen Tianzhi?”

Chen Tianzhi quickly nodded. “Yes, it’s me. I didn’t expect that you, the Prince, would have heard of my name.”

“Jin Zhu has mentioned you. After all, Jin Zhu came to Dragon Country for a Dragon Tamer. That Armoured Earth Dragon Egg was obtained by our Jin Family with considerable effort.”

Hearing this, Chen Tianzhi’s face showed shame as he said, “It was my lack of strength that disappointed the Princess and the Jin Family.”

Jin Chenghan also knew about Chen Tianzhi’s crushing defeat in the duel against Lu Fan, but he did not treat Chen Tianzhi as a useless failure like Jin Zhu did. Instead, he praised, “I hear that you are quite strong on your own. Just far inferior compared to the other Dragon Tamer. It’s not that you’re too weak, but rather the other party is just too strong.”

“Thank you for your understanding, Prince.” Chen Tianzhi felt even more ashamed, and took the opportunity to say, “Prince, since you know Lu Fan is very strong, do you still want to seek revenge for the Princess? I think it’s better to reconsider this…”

Jin Zhu interrupted Chen Tianzhi’s words, annoyed and slightly infuriated, “Chen Tianzhi, what do you mean? Do you think that since you’re no match for that punk Lu Fan, my Big Brother isn’t his match either?”

Chen Tianzhi hurriedly explained, “No, Princess, you misunderstand. That’s not what I meant. I just feel that this is Dragon Capital University, and the Prince has just arrived in Dragon Country. If we cause a disturbance, it might be difficult to resolve…”

Jin Chenghan, quite confident, smiled and said, “What’s so difficult to resolve? He’s just a student of Dragon Capital University. If I beat him, I beat him. Whoever disagrees is welcome to come challenge me. Even if a professor from the University intervenes, I’m not afraid!”

After a pause, Jin Chenghan sneered, “Moreover, my identity is special. Even if someone can defeat me, they wouldn’t dare to harm me. My Little Sister got bullied in Dragon Country, so I’ll just cause some commotion in Dragon Country to let the people of Dragon Country know that those from Extremistis Country are not people that they can bully!”

Jin Chenghan spoke with vigour, his words particularly domineering.

At once, Jin Zhu felt even more respect and admiration for her Big Brother. [As expected of my Big Brother who loves me the most, the number one Player of Extremistis Country! Even in Dragon Country, he dares to stir up trouble and knows no one would dare to challenge him!]

Seeing this, Chen Tianzhi did not know how to persuade them.

He knew the Jin Siblings seemed to think that beating someone in Dragon Country was just a small matter, and that with their status, they could naturally suppress the incident. However, even when Chen Tianzhi had not seen how miserable Jin Zhu was the last time she thought this way in Jianghai City, he had heard about it.

The Jin Siblings had never been to Dragon Country before so they still had their usual preconceived notion. They believed Dragon Country was like their Extremistis Country, where they could act recklessly as they pleased.

Little did they know that things were vastly different here.

Jin Chenghan did not pay much attention to Chen Tianzhi’s words. Him daring to be so arrogant in Dragon Country was because he had the capability to.

This ‘capability’ was not just his identity as a Prince, but also his own personal strength, as well as him being Extremistis Country’s representative for the National Trial.

Chen Tianzhi knew that it was hard to persuade those bent on destruction. Helpless, he could only grit his teeth and follow behind the two.

…

On the other side, inside Villa No. 2.

Lu Fan sat on the sofa, already starting to search for information about the Extremely Far North Ice Plains.

Yesterday’s incident had indeed frightened Han Ke and the others, but early this morning, Zhao Shengming came to tell Lu Fan that they could rest assured from now on. The University had begun investigating whether the vice principal had any accomplices, and had also assigned more High Level Players from the University to secretly protect Lu Fan and the others. Moreover, with the principal overseeing the University, yesterday’s incident was unlikely to happen again.

Lu Fan also believed in Dragon Capital University. That incident was a sudden attack, and those in Dragon Capital University had been caught off guard. At that point in time, had it been anyone else, the assassination attempt would have most likely succeeded.

But now that Dragon Capital University was on full alert, unless it was a peerless Player, even if five Level 80 Players came to attack, it would be suicidal for them.

Lu Fan was also on guard, with Xiao Cui sprawled on the sofa next to him.

As long as Xiao Cui was around, Lu Fan naturally did not need to worry about his own safety or that of the others. So, although he had experienced a dangerous situation, Lu Fan was not worried about it happening again.

Therefore, Lu Fan focused his energy on his Divine Grade Treasure Map.

He actually found a map of the Extremely Far North Ice Plains online. However, the map only marked a small part of the Extremely Far North Ice Plains. Further into the depths of the Extremely Far North Ice Plains was an unexplored area, with almost zero information available online.

[Seems like there was no choice. The edge of the Extremely Far North Ice Plains already has Level 60 Monsters. With how harsh and dangerous the environment is, it is difficult for ordinary people to enter and explore. From the book, currently, less than five percent of the Extremely Far North Ice Plains had been explored. Moreover, it was rumoured that in the deepest part of the Extremely Far North Ice Plains, there might be a Forbidden Area where Pure Blood Giant Dragons exist!

Some even said that the reason why the Extremely Far North Ice Plains was known as the coldest place in the world was entirely because there was an Ice Element Pure Blood Giant Dragon residing in the deepest part of the Extremely Far North Ice Plains.

Of course, these were all speculations about the Extremely Far North Ice Plains. They were only for entertainment.

Lu Fan carefully compared the coordinates of the explored areas of the Extremely Far North Ice Plains and calculated the location of the Treasure Map coordinates, which was roughly in the middle of the Extremely Far North Ice Plains. It was very deep into this barren land.

Trying to explore from the outskirts to the centre would be incredibly difficult, almost unimaginably so. It was even possible that this area fully met the standards to be classified as a Forbidden Zone, with unpredictable dangers where any intruder would find it hard to escape death.

In any case, Lu Fan had another phone call with Hei Shu later, who stated that for the area Lu Fan mentioned, it was in the depths of the Extremely Far North Ice Plains. Hei Shu also stated how he would not be able to provide more information about the place since no one in their Secret Realm Hunters Guild was willing to explore it.

Everyone was in it for the money, and there was no need to risk their lives to explore such a dangerous place. So, although there was some description of the Extremely Far North Ice Plains online, upon closer inspection, they did not provide anything substantial. At least, not enough to help Lu Fan claim this Treasure Map. Instead, it made Lu Fan’s scalp tingle, realising that trying to claim this Divine Grade Treasure Map would be far from a simple task.

Regarding this, Lu Fan could only let out a long sigh. [A Divine Grade Treasure Map that can only be seen but not claimed is worse than not having one at all!]

At this moment, Jian Ying came downstairs in loose pyjamas with her hair slightly wet. Seeing Lu Fan, her beautiful face slightly reddened, clearly not very comfortable living under the same roof with others.

Lu Fan was very gentlemanly. He glanced at Jian Ying before lowering his head and continuing to search for information about the Extremely Far North Ice Plains. At the same time, he casually greeted, “Just finished simulated combat training in the training room?”

Jian Ying was more talkative than before. After getting herself a glass of water from the kitchen, she replied, “Yes, I’m not yet familiar with my Second Profession Skills, so I trained in the training room for a while and then took a shower. What’s the plan for the afternoon? Are we running a Dungeon Instance, or should we go to the VIP Arena for some sparring?”

Lu Fan thought for a moment, and was about to answer when there was suddenly a knock on the villa’s front door.

Seeing this, Jian Ying asked, curious, “Is it Sister Han, Xiao Qiu or Tao Zi?”

Lu Fan looked at the time and said. “Shouldn’t be either. Auntie and Tao Zi went to class early. Their classes should still be in progress. As for Qin Qiu, she should be upstairs tidying up the room, she hasn’t gone out today. Maybe it’s Vice Principal Zhao coming to see me? Yesterday’s incident was so big, he probably wants to get more information from me.”

Saying this, Lu Fan put his computer aside and got up to open the door.

However, when the door opened, Lu Fan saw an unfamiliar man holding two unconscious University teachers, who were supposed to be standing at the door. The unfamiliar man smiled at Lu Fan and said, “Hahaha, sorry. Is there anyone living here with a Priest Type Profession?”

Lu Fan immediately recognised the two teachers in the man’s hands. They were guards that Zhao Shengming had assigned to protect everyone near his villa. It was not only these two, but there were also several others lying haphazardly at the doorway, All teachers and professors from the University, each a Third Profession Player.

At this moment, they were all unconscious, making the scene look very strange.

Lu Fan immediately tensed up, his Flying Dragon King’s Bone Wings appearing on his back as he explosively retreated ten metres. At the same time, Xiao Cui, sensing something, flipped off the sofa and silently cast all her Buffs on Lu Fan.

“What’s wrong, Lu Fan? Who’s here?” Jian Ying, hearing the commotion, poked her head out to look and immediately became tense. She dropped the water glass in her hand, and swords of various shapes flew out.

Seeing Lu Fan and Jian Ying in their battle stance, Tu Jing knew he had been misunderstood.

He let go of his hands, and the two teachers fell to the ground. Tu Jing spread his hands and smiled, “Don’t be nervous, I’m not a bad guy. The reason they’re unconscious… it’s actually all a misunderstanding. I just came to find you, but these people saw me as a stranger and attacked me. I was just acting in self-defence, that’s why I knocked them out.”

“Find me? Who are you?” Lu Fan stared intently at the man, [I don’t know you though.]

“Me? I’m…” Tu Jing laughed heartily, just about to introduce himself when Qin Qiu’s voice came from the second floor.

“Grandpa Tu!? Why are you here!?” Qin Qiu had also heard the commotion and came down to check the situation, recognising Tu Jing at a glance.

Qin Qiu quickly walked downstairs and saw the tense scene between the two parties, as well as the several Dragon Capital University teachers lying at the door. She was immediately confused, “What… what’s going on?”
