Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 157, The Third Pet Dragon, Starry Sky Dragon King!

Translator: Silavin

Back at the villa, Lu Fan greeted Han Ke and the others before returning to his room. He locked the door, sat cross-legged on the bed, and took out the Starry Sky Dragon King’s Dragon Egg.

At this point, the third Pet Slot was ready. All that was left was for Lu Fan to use Dragon Taming to hatch it.

However, with the experience of Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui fighting before, Lu Fan did not hatch the Dragon right away. [When I got my second child, the first and second fought. If I were to get a third child, I should consult my two girls first, right? Otherwise, the next time I appear with another Dragon Baby, Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui would be confused.]

Already deciding upon it, Lu Fan summoned Xiao Cui and Xiao Ye in their Infant Form at the same time. He had them remain side by side on the bed, and then started discussing with them while holding the Dragon Egg; about them adding a new member to their happy family?

He tried to convince them with statements like:

“Xiao Ye, you bully Xiao Cui every day, don’t you want another Little Brother or Little Sister to bully?”

“Xiao Cui, you get bullied by Xiao Ye every day, don’t you want to bully someone else for one? Isn’t this your chance now?”

The two Dragons blinked their eyes at Lu Fan. Xiao Cui seemed very happy about the addition of a third Dragon, jumping up and down non-stop, occasionally nudging the Dragon Egg with her head.

Xiao Ye was obviously a bit reluctant. After all, she knew another Dragon would mean more competition for Lu Fan’s attention.

But, under Lu Fan’s patient persuasion, Xiao Ye finally reluctantly agreed to let this Dragon Family add another new Dragon.

After getting their agreement, and confirming that the Starry Sky Dragon King would not be beaten up by Xiao Ye upon birth, Lu Fan felt at ease to start hatching the Dragon Egg.

Lu Fan cradled the Dragon Egg and repeatedly used Dragon Taming on it, but unlike Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui, this Dragon Egg did not respond even after Lu Fan used Dragon Taming over a hundred times. He had spent half an hour on it, unable to tame it.

Lu Fan thought, [This is strange. When did my Dragon Taming become so ineffective that I can’t even tame a Dragon Egg?]

He continued using Dragon Taming for nearly another half hour before finally sensing that his Dragon Taming had succeeded. Light shone from the Starry Sky Dragon King’s Dragon Egg, projecting onto Lu Fan’s chest.

This light was not an ordinary white light, but was the twinkling of countless stars, dazzlingly beautiful and spectacular.

This made Lu Fan feel even more certain that the Starry Sky Dragon King was going to be extraordinary.

The light gradually became blinding, causing Lu Fan to close his eyes. He could only hear the *crunch crunch* sound of the Eggshell being eaten.

Finally, as the light faded, Lu Fan opened his eyes to see a small Dragon, just like Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui. It was sitting in its Eggshell, eating it to get more nutrients.

[This little one should be from a Combat Specialised Dragon Clan, similar to Xiao Ye. But, its scales are purplish black, with countless glittering bright spots shining on them. It truly makes it look like the starry sky. Some bright spots even gathered together to form nebulae, making it look ever more mysterious and beautiful.]

[Guess this is to be expected of a Pure Blood Giant Dragon. Its appearance is vastly different from Xiao Cui and Xiao Ye, but its god-like beauty is by no means less than my other two girls.]

The Starry Sky Dragon Baby ate the Eggshell much faster than Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui. While Lu Fan was still observing it, it had already finished eating its Eggshell. It soon stood up, flapped its wings, and like Xiao Ye, its body expanded two times, even larger than Xiao Ye was initially.

Both Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui had flown over to cuddle with Lu Fan after eating their Eggshells when they were born. Xiao Cui had even been beaten up by Xiao Ye because of this.

However, this Starry Sky Dragon King was different. It did not pay any attention to Lu Fan. It flew directly to a corner of the bed and curled up comfortably like a lazy cat.

This action made Xiao Ye’s eager claws retract.

Lu Fan was stunned. After all, he was being ignored by a Dragon Baby he had hatched for the first time.

[Is this really the Dragon Baby I had hatched? Why wasn’t it affectionate with me?] Lu Fan moved closer, intending to reach out and pat the Starry Sky Dragon’s head. However, as soon as he extended his hand, the Starry Sky Dragon lazily raised its neck, dodging like a goose.

It obviously had no intention of cuddling with Lu Fan, much less allowed him to touch it.

Lu Fan immediately realised that just because a Dragon was hatched using his Dragon Taming Skill, it did not mean it would be affectionate with him. This depended on their personality.

[Some Daughters are like warm cotton jackets, some are like little refrigerators. You never know what you’ll get. Oh right, I haven’t checked its Attributes yet. I don’t even know if it’s a girl or boy.]

Lu Fan glanced at the Starry Sky Dragon King, which was aloof from birth, and silently opened its Attribute Panel.

When he saw it, Lu Fan’s eyes nearly popped out. [Damn! She really does have the capital to be so arrogant…]

Starry Sky Dragon King • Incarnation of Starlight (Infant Form):

Endurance: 673

Even Lu Fan, who had seen Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui’s Attribute Panels, nearly had his jaw drop at the Starry Sky Dragon King’s Attribute Panel.

[My guess was right. The Starry Sky Dragon King is from a Combat Specialised Dragon Clan. Moreover, judging from all her Four Attributes, she is a Physical Combat Specialised Dragon. Like Xiao Cui, her Attributes distribution is very peculiar. Her Mana Attribute is only 109. It is a value that would be terrifying on any other race’s Attribute Panel, but on a Pure Blood Dragon, it is truly lacking. But, to compensate for it, her other Attributes are explosively high!]

[Not only is her Agility and Endurance twice that of Xiao Ye when she has just hatched, her most terrifying Attribute is her Strength! It reached an astonishing 1295 at Level 1! Just what is this? It is four times that of Xiao Ye when she was hatched! Xiao Ye is also from a Combat Specialised Dragon Clan, but her Strength Attribute is far behind this Starry Sky Dragon King!]

Lu Fan could already imagine that in the future, when the Starry Sky Dragon King’s Level catches up with Xiao Ye’s, even if Xiao Ye transformed into her World Destroyer Form, there would still be a huge gap in their Strength Attributes!

In other words, when the Starry Sky Dragon King reached around Level 20, regardless of what new Forms she might develop in the future, just in her original Battle Form, her Strength Attribute would most likely surpass the terrifying benchmark of five digits with all the Buffs!

[How terrifying! With such a High Strength Attribute, along with her excellent Agility and Endurance Attributes, she is destined to be a Dragon who deals Physical Damage to the absolute extreme. In comparison, Xiao Ye focused more on a balanced distribution of Magic and Physical, which shows the great difference between them.]

[Besides the incredible Attributes, the Starry Sky Dragon King’s Skills are also not to be underestimated. She has the typical Dragon Skin, Bloodline, and Physique. All of which are completely normal. At the same time, her Starry Sky Dragon Physique lacks the 500% Stamina Recovery, but she had a new Passive to resolve that – Spring of Stars. This Passive practically grants her unlimited stamina. Combined with her Strength, Agility, and Endurance Attributes, absolutely no creature would want to fight such a being.]

[She also has two Active Skills. One for attack and one for defence based on their descriptions.]

Lu Fan soon noticed a detail in the skill description of Shatter Star, which used the term ‘on the level of complete annihilation’.

[Even when Xiao Ye transformed into her Destruction Dragon Form, her derived Skills only used the term ‘terrifying’. The difference between these two terms is evident. Even if I have yet to see her use Shatter Star, I can already imagine the scene of her holding a star, crushing it, and causing a huge mushroom cloud to burst out.]

[As for her other skill, Starlight Armour, although it is described as a Defensive Skill, after careful examination, this Skill can be used for both offence and defence. Since her Strength Attribute is extremely high, her future battles would be similar to how Xiao Ye fights in her World Destroyer Form. She would lean towards close combat. So, when she activates Starlight Armour, any enemy that gets close to her would suffer damage from Starlight Armour.]

[As for how powerful these two Skills are, that remains to be tested in the future. Even so, without a doubt, the Starry Sky Dragon Clan is definitely an exceptionally strong Physical Combat Specialised Dragon Clan. With this little one, I will be able to gain a lot of Strength Attribute through Bloodline Sharing. This way, my All Four Attributes would become more balanced.]

[Actually, that’s not quite right. With her Levelling Up, my Strength Attribute might actually quickly jump ahead, making my All Four Attributes unbalanced again. But I guess being unbalanced is fine. Nothing beats having higher Attributes.]

After looking at the Starry Sky Dragon King’s Attribute Panel, Lu Fan continued to think, [if you’re this strong, it’s fine for you to be a bit arrogant so long as you’re obedient.]

“Well then, according to our normal procedure, isn’t it time to name her?” Lu Fan sat on the bed, staring at the Starry Sky Dragon King with his half-closed eyelids and world-weary face, ready to show off his naming skills.

Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui also gathered around. For some reason, Lu Fan felt that these two little ones seemed to be watching, waiting for a good show.
