Chapter 1186: Chapter 402: Thorny Iron Ball (2)

But at this moment, the combined witchcraft ’Steel Armor’ on his body was a protective sorcery with a form very similar to a Knight Armor.

Rein was seeing this kind of protective sorcery effect for the first time.

Moreover, although this combined witchcraft’s effect resembled Knight Armor, their defensive effects were worlds apart!

First, it’s the sorcery defensive effect; at this moment, Rein’s entire body, due to ’Steel Armor’, was emitting a dense Metal Series Witchcraft Light, clearly demonstrating strong defensive power against both melee attacks and sorcery attacks.

Of course, the exact level of defense would only be known after proper testing.

Next is flexibility. Ordinary metal armor, regardless of the material, always carries a certain feeling of heaviness and inconvenience.

Due to the hinge issues at the joints, even if soft first-layer cowhide is used, not only is the defense reduced, but it still wouldn’t be particularly flexible.

However, the ’Steel Armor’ currently shimmering with dark silver light on Rein, the metal at the joints surprisingly flowed like mercury, greatly enhancing flexibility.

With a slight mental command, Rein saw the Hardened Essence Gold Ingot in his hand quickly transform into a Dual-Handed Greatsword.

Rein, clad in ’Steel Armor’, was seen running swiftly in the field, slashing, stabbing, and finally performing a Secret Technique.

After a round of testing, Rein discovered that setting aside the difference in defensive power, just its flexibility outperformed his previous self when wearing Demonized Silver Armor by at least a notch.

Just then, a thought flashed through Rein’s mind.

He first looked up at the training room’s height, then performed a transformation.

However, this time, Rein only activated the first form, which was the Dragon-man Warrior transformation, and his body immediately swelled to just over five meters.

Next, he cast the combined witchcraft ’Steel Armor’.

Quickly, his robust figure in Dragon-man Warrior Form was covered by a full set of thick Knight Armor, gleaming with witchcraft light.

”Not bad! It doesn’t affect flexibility at all,” Rein looked down and couldn’t help but rejoice.

”Now, for an enemy to hurt me, they first have to break through this layer formed by the combined witchcraft ’Steel Armor’, and then break through my Dragon Scale Defense.” Rein clenched his dragon claw, which seemed like it was wearing crucible gloves, thinking secretly.

”Both flexible and thick, my melee ability has been enhanced!”

”Huh, something doesn’t seem quite right... I’ve been strengthening my sorcery side, but the actual combat power improvement seems to have shifted to the melee side!”

Rein immediately thought of a problem.

After a brief thought, Rein couldn’t help but show a slight bitter smile.

”Let’s not worry which side for now, the improvement of strength is what matters most.”

After a few tests, Rein returned to the study.

Just as he took out the sheepskin scroll of Third Level Metal Series Witchcraft ’Thorny Iron Ball’, planning to study, another matter suddenly came to mind.

Rein focused and slightly operated the second layer of the Steel Heart Meditation Method.

”As expected, after entering crystallization, the effect of the second layer of the Steel Heart Advanced Meditation Method began to drop significantly, and its role in pushing the spiritual power to continue crystallizing became almost negligible.”

This result was already anticipated, and quickly, Rein refocused his attention on the sheepskin scroll recording ’Thorny Iron Ball’.

...

Meanwhile.

Leaving Rein Mansion, Buchanan immediately boarded a luxurious carriage waiting at the door.

Soon, the carriage returned to the residence of Second Prince Everton.

Inside the study, Everton, who was perusing a certain report, glanced outside the door, seeing that Buchanan had returned, casually asked:

”Buchanan, how did the Mother Tree Sect’s operation in Ferdinand Forest go?”

Buchanan immediately reacted, realizing the Second Prince had seen the information from Ferdinand Forest, and replied after a brief thought:

”Your Highness, the other side launched a surprise attack based on the defensive intelligence we provided about those Elf outpost camps, and got substantial gains. They have now sent word that over a dozen Elf women captives will be sent to the Dragon Scale Nest.”

”Very good, with this batch of elf captives, the raw material problem should be temporarily resolved,” the Second Prince said, a satisfied smile appearing on his delicate face.

”By the way, inform Lin Duen and Jing Ge to speed up the research and development of the Compound.”

”Yes, Your Highness, I will contact these two Potion Masters immediately.”

However, before Buchanan could leave, Second Prince Everton asked: ”Oh, the Dragon Bloodline possessor you met today... is named Rein, right? How was it?”

”Uh... the opponent is very young, immensely powerful, but quite cautious; he politely declined my mention of the Dragon Scale Brotherhood invitation at first.”

”It was only after I said you were the examiner for this Dragon Knight Reserve that his refusal attitude softened,” Buchanan reported in detail.

”Hmm, it’s fine, having one more or less Dragon Bloodline possessor is not the focus for the Dragon Scale Brotherhood.”

”Our current focus is still on the experiments.”

Evidently, Everton didn’t care much about Rein not eagerly joining.

After all, throughout the Empire Territory, there are quite a few people possessing Dragon Bloodline.

”By the way, Your Highness, this is a replica of the opponent’s Dragon Breath.”

At this moment, Buchanan seemed to remember something, took out an object resembling a pocket watch from his chest, and respectfully handed it to Second Prince Everton.
