Chapter 1184: Chapter 401: Steel Armor (Part 4)

“Hmm? The Second Prince’s steward?” Rein’s eyebrow slightly raised, evidently a bit surprised.

No wonder Matteo came to disturb him.

“Please have the guest meet in the reception room.” After a slight thought, Rein said.

A few minutes later, in the reception room.

“Lord Rein, I come today because I heard that rare Dragon Bloodline flows through your veins. Entrusted by the Second Prince, I wish to invite you to join the Dragon Scale Brotherhood.” Buchanan said with a smile, straightforward.

“This is a small gift from His Highness the Second Prince to you.”

“This is a special potion developed by the Dragon Scale Brotherhood, which promotes those with the Dragon Bloodline. His Highness named it the ‘Dragon Vein Evolution Potion’.”

As he spoke, Buchanan took out a brown wooden box, opened it voluntarily, and handed it to Rein.

“This…”

Rein clearly saw inside, a bottle of dark red, unknown potion shimmering with blood-colored Witchcraft Light.

Due to Anna’s mother’s situation, Rein had long considered how to interact with this Second Prince.

However, Rein did not expect the other party would directly come to invite him to join such an unheard-of organization.

Seeing Rein in contemplation, Buchanan’s face lightened up with joy, and he continued:

“Lord Rein, the initial purpose of His Highness the Second Prince in establishing the Dragon Scale Brotherhood was to provide a platform for communication and an opportunity for further enhancement for those who unexpectedly awakened their Dragon Bloodline.”

“For example, you can imagine a group of like-minded people researching together how to further develop the special abilities of their own Dragon Bloodline, and researching related special potions, etc.”

“Moreover, this is a purely Hidden Sect, it won’t affect your current status as a Sword Bearer, nor will there be any mandatory tasks.”

It must be said, this Buchanan in front of him had excellent eloquence and skills.

If it was an ordinary person, they would naturally be tempted.

However, Rein was different, he quickly weighed the pros and cons.

First, from his previous understanding of the Second Prince, this Dragon Scale Brotherhood would most likely not be as pure as this person said, being a purely secretive cultivation organization.

Rein himself was a Wizard and Pharmacist, just a little thought and he could understand the key issue.

To research and develop one’s Dragon Bloodline, how to research it?

Bloodline research inevitably requires the extraction of fresh blood, and may even require providing a small amount of bodily tissue to possibly research something out.

Stepping back, if his bloodline did indeed research something peculiar, that would be even more disadvantageous.

Moreover, Rein knew very well that his bloodline enhancement relied on a system, that by systematically killing Dragon creatures, he could continuously perfect and enhance the Mutated Dragon Bloodline.

As for the whereabouts of Anna’s mother, he could seek other means.

“I’m sorry, Lord Buchanan, please convey my thanks to His Highness the Second Prince for his kindness. But as a Sword Bearer, I don’t intend to join any secret organization for the time being.” Rein thought for a moment and politely said.

At the same time, he also expressed that he wouldn’t join any secret organization, as a sign that he bore no prejudice against the Second Prince.

“Hehe, Lord Rein, you might not be aware of how many people in the outside world are eager to join His Highness the Second Prince’s Dragon Scale Brotherhood.”

“Especially those Bloodline Polluters and Deteriorators, who are even willing to pay a huge price seeking to join.”

Buchanan seemed unbothered by Rein’s refusal, as he continued to speak fluently.

“By the way, I heard you recently participated in the Dragon Knight Reserve selection?”

“Yes.”

“Then you should all the more join the Dragon Scale Brotherhood. I’ll tell you a little secret, His Highness the Second Prince is one of the examiners this time.”

“The time is almost up, apologies for the disturbance, Lord Rein.” Buchanan smiled meaningfully, readying himself to leave.

“I understand, Lord Buchanan, I need some time to consider.” Rein stood up, saying.

“Of course, if you decide to join, you can contact me at any time over the next few days.”
