Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys

Chapter 1159: Chapter 395: Magic Potion Master (Part 3)

”I will handle this matter.” The old man waved his hand, signaling that they could leave.

After the others left, the old man pondered for a long time, then sighed heavily and said to the wizard beside him:

”Malcolm, help me contact the Tutkash School; we might need their help this time.”

Hearing the name Tutkash, Malcolm’s heart jolted, and he quickly replied, ”Okay, Sect Leader.”

It must be understood that not all wizard schools within the Empire Territory obey the Empire’s commands. Some secretive wizard schools, groups, and organizations have always existed.

And the Tutkash School, primarily focused on necromancy, is one of them.

They are also located in the Shirendil Plateau area, but their primary activity region is on the western side of the plateau, near the westernmost border of the Empire.

However, in recent centuries, they seem to have been influenced by the Evil God. Besides their regular necromancy research, it’s heard that many school wizards have leaned toward the worship of the Evil God.

Imperial City Tamriel.

In the days that followed, at the Rein Mansion, various Duke or Marquis families occasionally sent invitations to banquets or balls.

Many were from the Conservative Party nobles, but even more were from the Reformist noble families.

Their intentions were obvious: to befriend this newly rising star.

However, after some thought, Rein declined them all.

If the beautiful Jennifer were here, she could attend as a representative. But for Rein personally, attending these events was too time-consuming and energy-draining, especially at such a critical time. It wasn’t worth it.

Because his status this time came from his own strength.

That is his foundation, not something else.

Perhaps, once he reaches the Third Level Crystallization Wizard tier and transitions to a ’Dragon Vein Wizard,’ Rein would consider attending some social gatherings.

At this time, Rein had advanced his Witch Pattern Tailoring (Transcendent) from lv1 to lv7, acquiring 6 attribute points and 6 skill points.

This brought his remaining attribute points to 20, with 7 remaining skill points, while the Golden Skill Points remained unchanged at 95.

”7 skill points, still 5 short of 12.”

”If I consider simultaneously learning two Third Level Witchcrafts and quickly turning them into combat abilities, it would require 24 skill points.”

”Currently, even if I can produce new advanced witchcraft tools like the ’Breeze Robe’, it’s challenging to advance Witch Pattern Tailoring to above lv10. The gap to 24 skill points is too large.”

”In this case, I should have Olena arrange through official channels to find some time to visit the Royal Alchemist Association,” Rein mused.

In the evening, when Rein returned to the mansion, he found Anna talking to a familiar but long-unseen figure.

”Miss Alyosha?”

”Lord Rein, it’s great to meet you again.”

”Lord Rein, if I hadn’t heard that a genius at the Sword Holder Headquarters defeated the ’Carver’ Harold, I wouldn’t have known you were in the Imperial City!”

”Also, you came to the Imperial City, why didn’t you contact me?” Alyosha asked three consecutive questions with a slight mock resentment upon seeing Rein.

”By the way, Lord Rein, where did you find this lovely lady? Miss Anna is truly delightful.” Alyosha said while holding Anna’s hand.

Anna did not seem awkward; it looked like the two were getting along well.

”Sorry, Miss Alyosha, I’ve been quite busy lately; it’s my oversight.” Rein smiled and said.

Seeing Alyosha made Rein suddenly realize he perhaps didn’t need Olena to go through official channels anymore since Alyosha herself was a formal researcher at the Royal Pharmacy Academy.

After a round of pleasantries, Rein learned that Alyosha’s Steward family was also a Duke family of the Imperial City.

”Oh, is Lord Rein also interested in potion making?”

”With your status as a Fine Gold Swordsman, I can directly take you to the Royal Alchemist Association Headquarters to have a look.” Alyosha readily agreed to Rein’s request.

”How about tomorrow? I’ll take you to the association headquarters in the afternoon, and in the evening, you can bring Miss Anna to my place for dinner?”

”I’m sure my father would be very pleased to meet you.” Alyosha invited.

”Thank you, Miss Alyosha.”

”Alright, then it’s settled. I haven’t seen Ambassador Javier for a while, so I should pay a visit too.” After a brief thought, Rein smiled and nodded in agreement.

...

The next afternoon.

Rein followed Alyosha to the Royal Alchemist Association Headquarters, located on the Second Ring of the Imperial City.

After checking the Sword Bearer’s credentials, they passed through the heavy oak door, where Rein was greeted by over ten humanoid stone statues, each over three meters tall.

”Lord Rein, these are all famous Potion Masters in the association’s history.”

”Over there is the herb cultivation room, and over there is the laboratory.” Alyosha pointed to the left and right at the two most prominent ancient multi-story buildings.

”Lord Rein, where do you want to visit first?”

”Why don’t we visit the laboratory first?” After brief consideration, Rein suggested.

Compared to herb cultivation, potion making seemed more relevant to Rein regarding his future career hints.

”Alright, Lord Rein, let’s go and have a look at my mentor Master Kafrela’s place.”

”Alright.”
