Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys

Chapter 1171: Chapter 398: Explosion (Part 3)

Seconds later, the dense forest on both sides of the convoy shook violently, and trees quickly fell like grass being cut down, as if a cutting machine was pushing through.

”Swish, swish, swish!”

The sound of blades cutting grew louder!

”Whoosh, whoosh!”

Several tall, grey shadows shot out at high speed from the dense forest on both sides of the convoy, accompanied by a stench of decay.

”Watch out on both sides!” Dick shouted.

His squad members, directing the guards, began to quickly set up defenses centered around Rein’s carriage.

”Sss!”

At this moment, a warhorse in front of the convoy, seemingly blocking the attack route of a grey shadow, was gutted, instantly chopped into pieces.

Other directions were not so lucky.

Within seconds, the guards were slashed into slices by the half-meter-long claws of the Ghoul.

Even Dick could only barely fend off one, yet at least seven or eight clawed Ghouls attacked from multiple directions.

This made the people present anxiously look towards Rein and the two others who had just alighted from the carriage.

”Clawed Ghoul!” And this pause in the grey shadow allowed Claire to clearly see the appearance of the enemy, as an erudite wizard, she immediately exclaimed.

”And there are six at once!”

This type of special Ghoul is extremely strong in combat, and very rare.

In terms of combat power, it’s approximately at the Peak Knight level.

But the problem is, with the existence of such Ghouls, it means there is likely a controller behind them, like... a High Rank Wizard specialized in Undead.

”Captain, these are clawed Ghouls, the enemy is likely to be a High Rank Undead Wizard.” Claire said solemnly.

”Oh? An Undead Wizard?” Rein raised his eyebrows, saying.

Facing the hopeful gazes of everyone, Rein hesitated not at all, quickly chanting the Activation Technique.

With a single point of his finger, a beam of earth-yellow light as thick as a thumb shot onto the Hellfire Demon Statue covered by Meng Bu.

A deep mechanical rumbling came from within Meng Bu.

The towering Hellfire Demon Statue began to rise.

”Huh? This... This is a Demon Statue!” Claire who was performing Fire Witchcraft heard the noise from the cart and quickly glanced over.

She was first puzzled but upon some thought confirmed, what was before her was not an ordinary puppet, but a Demon Statue.

Because its power unit was evidently a small furnace, just from this aspect, Claire could affirm that the giant in front was indeed a Demon Statue.

”A Demon Statue?” Beyonce, who was shooting, also looked shocked.

Although she wasn’t a wizard, and couldn’t quickly tell if it was a puppet or a Demon Statue like Claire.

She had heard of Demon Statues, things comparable to Legendary Combat Power, and was surprised that her captain was carrying such a thing this time.

However, she was still a bit worried whether this large, seemingly cumbersome thing could hit the swiftly moving clawed Ghouls.

”Overclocking attack!” Rein thought silently.

The clawed Ghouls were quite strong, so Rein directly ordered the Hellfire Puppet to unleash its ’Big Move’!

The left and right chest panels of the Hellfire Demon Statue ’cracked’ open, revealing two black holes, immediately activating like a Gatling gun in rapid-fire mode, red and black light continuously flickering.

”Bang! Bang!”

The dense stream of red fireballs and black shadow arrows, trailing long tails, poured quickly towards a clawed Ghoul directly in front.

”Boom! Boom! Boom!”

Though a single fireball could only slightly injure parts of the clawed Ghoul’s body, the rapid consecutive firing made up for it!

Just after three seconds, taking six fireballs and shadow arrows, the Ghoul was explosively severed at the waist.

”Careful, Captain, from behind!”

Seeing their comrade killed, several other clawed Ghouls launched attacks from behind and the left side of the Hellfire Demon Statue, seemingly aiming for close combat to destroy the statue.

”Zss!!”

Sparks flew!

A fierce claw strike from a clawed Ghoul left only a half-inch scratch on the statue’s forearm covered in Hardened Essence Gold.

”Bang!”

The opponent was then sent flying into the air about four to five meters high by a heavy punch from the Hellfire Demon Statue.

Immediately, the statue unleashed another wave of Gatling style fireballs and shadow arrows!

”Boom! Boom! Boom!”

Directly blowing apart the Ghoul which had no room to dodge in mid-air.

At this time, the third clawed Ghoul swiftly leapt onto the head of the Hellfire Demon Statue, only to be grabbed by a large metal hand and thrown hard to the ground.

”Bang!”

Next, the statue’s massive iron-tower-like leg, driven by the small furnace, stomped repeatedly, crushing it into pulp!

For a time, the Hellfire Demon Statue’s might was unmatched.

The remaining clawed Ghouls dared not approach again in short time, starting to quickly circle and reposition around.

”So strong!” An awestruck Dick couldn’t help but say.

”This is too strong!” As a wizard, Claire understood more clearly the exaggerated combat power presented by her captain’s Demon Statue.

Though typically a Demon Statue’s power is comparable to the Legendary, compared to a true legend, its agility is somewhat inferior, therefore, just merely comparable but actually often slightly lesser.
