Chapter 1183: Chapter 401: Steel Armor (Part 3)

In the confrontation with the stitched beast, the golem was clearly at a disadvantage.

Rein had considered enhancing his witchcraft from First Level Witchcraft to Second Level, but this would mean a geometric increase in the difficulty of engravings, which was a major challenge even for his instructor Mogaro, who was only at the peak of First Level Wizard.

The simplest way to enhance the golem’s power is to make it thicker, taller, and bigger.

As for the witchcraft, one could consider increasing its shooting parts.

”Instructor, can we add two cannons on the shoulders of the Hellfire Demon Statue to cast Fireball Technique and Shadow Arrow? Perhaps we could consider configuring an additional small furnace for this purpose.”

Mogaro pondered for a while, then looked at Rein and said:

”It’s not impossible, but doing so would make the Hellfire Demon Statue significantly larger, and its height could exceed six meters, which might make it very difficult for you to operate.”

”Instructor, I have no problem with that,” Rein smiled slightly and said.

One of the main reasons for considering minimizing the golem was because he was a wizard at the late stage of Second Level Liquidation. Although he had a super Metal Element Affinity, operating the golem was rather challenging.

Rein clearly remembered that operating the Hellfire Demon Statue once consumed nearly 50 points of his spiritual power, and he only had just over 90 points at that time.

But now, the situation was different.

His spiritual power had now reached as high as 123, and the crystallized spiritual power had a quality above liquification, making operating the golem much easier.

Mogaro skeptically examined Rein for a moment, then revealed a look of shock and said, ”You... you couldn’t have...”

Although Mogaro had long been unable to see through Rein’s strength, not to mention that Rein was wearing the ’Concealing Robe,’ Mogaro vaguely guessed something from Rein’s calm smile.

Rein smiled slightly, nodded, and said, ”Instructor, I’ll leave this matter to you.”

....

Meanwhile.

In a luxurious mansion on the left side of the Imperial Palace Tamriel.

A middle-aged nobleman with a mustache was respectfully standing beside a young man with a gentle face and blond hair.

The blond young man was sitting in a chair, casually flipping through a stack of documents.

”Buchanan, so now we can confirm that this young man named Rein probably carries some unknown Dragon Bloodline?”

”Second Prince, according to the information, it seems so,” the middle-aged noble named Buchanan bowed and said.

”Good, go and invite him to join the Dragon Scale Brotherhood,” Second Prince Everton said with an inscrutable smile, closing the documents.

”Okay, Second Prince,” Buchanan slowly exited the room.

Although Duke Drum had approached him earlier, attempting to persuade him to whisper to the Second Prince to eliminate this Rein, it now seemed that the Second Prince was rather interested in this young man with a Dragon Bloodline.

The Dragon Scale Brotherhood is a hidden sect initiated by the Second Prince, specifically targeting non-royal members with various Dragon Bloodlines.

...

After Rein returned to his residence, he went to the training room and began pondering the Second Level Witchcraft ’Iron Armor Technique’ and the Third Level Witchcraft ’Steel Armor Technique.’

Even before studying the Third Level Witchcraft ’Steel Armor Technique,’ he had seen related descriptions at the exchange office in the school and felt that there should be some inherent connection between the two.

After multiple times, Rein was faintly sure that there must be some intrinsic link between these two witchcrafts.

But the problem was, Rein vaguely felt that something seemed to be missing.

Rein continuously cast the two witchcrafts in the room.

”Second Level Witchcraft ’Iron Armor Technique’!”

”Third Level Innate Witchcraft ’Steel Armor Technique’!”

A layer of dark iron armor was covered by an even thicker layer of silver metal. The defensive power seemed to be stacked, but Rein knew this was merely a superficial stack, not a significant increase in power like a killer move.

After repeated casts, Rein always felt something was blocking.

After much contemplation, Rein seemed to have an epiphany and tried incorporating the First Level Innate Witchcraft ’Metal Morphing Spell.’

After two casts, a sudden flash of inspiration struck Rein’s mind, and he thought, ”Right, it must be the Metal Morphing Spell!”

At the same time, a system prompt followed:

[Ding! Host has realized the form of Combined Witchcraft, would you like to consume 42 Golden Skill Points to deduce and complete it?]

”Finally, it’s here!”

Rein couldn’t help but pump his fist excitedly.

Then, with overwhelming joy, he chose ”Yes” without hesitation!

Instantly, a surge of profound witchcraft training memories flooded into Rein’s mind, as if he had practiced these three witchcrafts for a century in some mysterious space!

When Rein opened his eyes again, his understanding of these three witchcrafts had broken some barrier, knowing how to integrate the three witchcrafts into one.

[Ding! Deduction successful! Host has comprehended the metal series Third Level Combined Witchcraft ’Steel Armor’!]

”Steel Armor?” Rein’s face lit up with joy.

”First Level Innate Witchcraft ’Metal Morphing Spell,’ Second Level Witchcraft ’Iron Armor Technique,’ and Third Level Innate Witchcraft ’Steel Armor Technique’—continuously cast to form a Combined Witchcraft: Steel Armor!”

Just as Rein was about to conduct a practical test, there was a knock on the door.

”Knock, knock, knock!”

”Lord Rein, there’s a Count named Buchanan outside, requesting to see you. He says he is the Second Prince’s steward,” the little man Matteo said with a slightly hurried breath.
