Chapter 1169: 398: Explosion

That afternoon, Rein returned to the Sword Holder Headquarters once more.

“Lord Rein, your airship is ready and can depart at any time. Lords Claire and Beyonce are also waiting for you at the airship docking point at the headquarters.”

Olena quickly walked out of the office and reported to Rein.

“Alright, Lady Olena, thank you for your hard work.” Rein nodded and smiled.

The Sword Holder Headquarters has its own airship docking point, which is very convenient.

Especially in this case, where transporting his more than ten-ton Hellfire Demon Statue over long distances is very easy, it can be directly placed in the bottom cabin of the airship.

If a carriage was used for transportation, it would take at least half a month to reach the vicinity of the Sword Blade Volcano in Moselle Province.

The efficiency is simply worlds apart!

“It is my honor to serve you, Lord Rein.” Olena covered her mouth and chuckled.

Soon, the two arrived at the airship docking point located on the north side of the headquarters training ground.

“Captain!” Claire, dressed in a blue Wizard Robe, was delighted to see Rein and immediately saluted.

“Captain Rein!” The other woman beside her, dressed in a fiery leather armor, was Beyonce. Her eyes lit up when she saw Rein, and she respectfully curtsied.

As a Quasi-Legendary Level Ranger, Beyonce’s strength surpasses Claire’s by a notch.

Therefore, she could distinctly sense their captain Rein’s aura, which seemed even more solid than before.

It’s been less than a month!

Her captain Rein’s strength seemed to have seen significant improvement again.

Is this the growth speed of the Empire’s top-level geniuses?

It’s truly terrifying.

“Claire, Beyonce, hello.” Rein smiled and nodded in greeting.

“Hm, Claire, you seem to be on the verge of a breakthrough?”

Rein slightly scrutinized the two, only to find that Claire, who was initially at the peak of a First Level Wizard, had spiritual power that was increasingly harmonious, seemingly about to break through to the Second Level Liquidization.

“Hee hee, Captain, you truly have eyes like a torch.”

“After this task with you, I think I should attempt a breakthrough.” Claire laughed.

“Hmm, if you are not confident at that time, you can come find me.” Rein nodded.

“Thank you, Captain! Captain, shall we depart now?” Naturally, Claire

“Wait, there’s something coming… oh, it’s here.” Rein looked straight ahead and smiled.

“Hm?” The two women glanced around but saw no one approaching, causing them to look at each other in bewilderment.

“In the sky.” Rein laughed.

“Huh? This seems to be a Wizard School’s airship!” Claire realized what Rein meant, raised her head, and looked up.

Sure enough, not far away, there was an airship flying towards the Sword Holder Headquarters.

No wonder they overlooked it.

After all, this is Tamriel, where the sky is always bustling and busy.

With large airship docking points in the southeast, southwest, and north, along with special institutions and top family docking points, there are always at least a dozen airships floating in the sky.

It’s naturally easy to overlook a particular airship in the sky.

Nevertheless, this only made the two women even more curious.

After all, what needs transportation by airship?

Soon, as the Wizard School’s airship landed, Olena quickly stepped forward, swiftly communicated, and coordinated.

Only to see a colossal figure covered with a cloth, being hefted by over twenty strong guards, loaded onto the airship at the Sword Holder Headquarters, ready to depart.

“Is this… a puppet?” Claire, observing the contours and partially exposed components, widened her beautiful eyes.

Beyonce also watched the scene in front of her with considerable surprise.

After all, in her view, their captain’s strength was already formidable enough.

Yet this time, he actually brought along a clearly very powerful Metal Puppet.

She recalled that during the task of slaying the Poison Liquid Flying Dragon last time, they were not so cautious.

“Then let’s depart, Lady Olena, goodbye.”

“Lord Rein, goodbye to you both.” Olena slightly bowed and smiled.

Rein chose to depart at this time, expecting to arrive at Sword Blade County in Moselle Province by around eight or nine the next morning.

The timing arrangement could be described as just right.

….

About three hours after Rein departed.

In a valley estate located on the outskirts of the Imperial Suburb of Tamriel, near Luward Town.

Several middle-aged men dressed in robes wore worried expressions.

“It’s almost evening, why hasn’t Lord Staven finished yet?”

“Yes, sir, if it drags on like this, I’m afraid it really will be too late!” Another middle-aged man looked at the elder in the center of the room, frowning.

“Should we urge him?”

“No!” The Wizard elder in charge of this place thought for a moment and shook his head.

“What we need is someone who can successfully complete the task, giving the other party enough time.”

“As for other difficulties, we’ll think of ways to solve them.”

Hearing the elder’s words, a few people were momentarily stunned but then nodded in agreement.

The reasoning is sound.

But missing the planned ambush point, subsequent coordination, and re-preparation will all be troublesome matters.

The ambush point certainly can’t be arranged near the Imperial City of Tamriel; besides, once the airship accelerates, intercepting it in the air becomes extremely difficult.

Therefore, this time, they arranged the ambush point at the foot of Sword Blade Volcano in Moselle Province.

Generally speaking, ambushes are arranged when the target completes the mission, when they’re injured, or when they’re relatively exhausted, but Staven insisted on choosing the moment when the other party just arrived, when their spirits were at their peak.
