Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys

Chapter 1173: 399: Descent

Staven, with red eyes, pulled out a vial emitting a red enveloping witchcraft light from his bosom.

Although he hesitated briefly, the next second, he pulled out the stopper, threw back his head, and drank it down ‘glug glug’.

Just as Rein was about to seize the opportunity to launch an attack, suddenly, he saw the figure in the black robe before him clutch his head in agony, letting out a scream.

“Graham!!”

“You bastard! Actually…”

In an instant, Staven realized he had been deceived!

Because the blood of the Spider God he consumed contained a strand of the will or spiritual imprint of the Otherworldly Evil God Nael Breccan, which used his body as a vessel for the descent of a saint.

This was a cross-dimensional descent that could only be realized under certain conditions, more advanced than a projection.

And he had become the vessel for the descent!

Obviously, Graham, the Sect Leader of the Tutkash School, had acted as an accomplice to Nael Breccan.

Moreover, the entire event had been meticulously planned for a long time; it was just that previously, Staven had been too absorbed in his experiments, giving no opportunity. But this time, he voluntarily consumed it…

At the same time.

In an expansive underground hall at the Tutkash School base on the Shirendil Plateau.

Graham, a tall figure doing an experiment, suddenly trembled as too much reagent dripped into the beaker, instantly releasing a puff of black smoke, signaling a failed experiment!

Such a low-level mistake is virtually impossible for a Fourth Level Dawn Wizard.

But this scene unfolded right before him.

However, Graham’s expression showed not a hint of anger; instead, a faint smile appeared.

Because in his mind, a disconnected voice inexplicably appeared as if from a far-off place ‘…vessel…ingested…commendation…’

“That you delayed ingestion until now is a testament to your will and talent, which I admire, but your body happens to be the best vessel available.”

“Staven, this is your fate!”

Graham’s low voice echoed within the spacious hall.

…

At this moment, turning to the foot of the Sword Blade Volcano, in front of Rein, stood Staven.

Just after a few painful roars, his voice underwent an overwhelming transformation, shifting from a normal human male tone to one that was grand, dull, and inhuman.

Simultaneously, an enormous and profound evil aura spread throughout the scene centered around him.

The surviving ordinary guards, who had just recovered from the earth-shattering explosion, suddenly felt impending doom again!

This feeling was like a stumbling old man watching helplessly as a speeding carriage crashed towards him.

Or like an ordinary person by the sea suddenly facing a fifty-meter-high giant tsunami rushing at them.

An intense feeling of helplessness and bewilderment filled their hearts.

Even Dick, who was a Peak Knight, now seemed to lose most of his courage, barely able to wield his Knight’s Longsword, and his booted legs felt unbearably heavy.

“This is… the aura of an Evil God!” Dick was terrified beyond measure!

“The Evil God has descended!” Beyonce said with a solemn face.

Her morale was unusually low, but looking a few meters ahead at their captain, Rein, who remained calm, Beyonce could barely muster the courage to continue fighting.

“Captain!” Claire said in a trembling voice.

Anyone could hear the tension and fear in Claire’s voice at this moment.

She hadn’t expected the situation to twist and turn like this.

Initially, upon seeing those powerful clawed ghouls, she thought she might be facing a fierce battle, but their captain Rein’s demon statue still surprised her.

But when the opponent’s Legendary Peak abomination appeared, her heart tightened once more.

Unexpectedly, it turned out that the demon statue still had a trump card—a self-detruct of unparalleled power.

But now, facing the descent of an Evil God, the previously favorable situation was reversed once again!

Rein naturally understood that Claire was asking if they should retreat quickly while the being had not fully descended.

“You all step back a bit, hold onto the Sorcery Scroll to protect yourselves, this part is mine.” Rein didn’t look back, his face still watching the black-robed figure undergoing transformation.

The person seemed to have already started losing himself, his eyes rolled back, and his entire body floated up in the air.

His body then underwent dramatic changes, his entire figure rapidly inflating like a balloon, his lower half sprouted pairs of sharp and lethal limbs that effortlessly pierced into the ground.

As for his upper body, aside from inflating several times larger, it didn’t change much, barely maintaining a humanoid form, except his arms mutated into a pair of saw-toothed blade-like weapons.

Rein noticed that the person’s gaze seemed to slowly regain clarity, though the look was entirely different from before.

“Staven! Not a bad… vessel!”

Rein heard him whisper…

“Staven?”

“Must be referring to the original owner of the body?”

Rein looked at the great looming figure of nearly ten meters and the immensely strong aura that far surpassed the Legendary Level, sighed and whispered:

“Ah, I always wanted to be a wizard, but there’s no avoiding a close combat like this!”

In an instant, Rein’s form also began to undergo a tremendous transformation.

For he understood, confronting this being was not something his current Second Level Liquidation Late Stage wizard power could handle, no matter how high his wizard talent was, it wouldn’t be enough.
