Chapter 1156: Chapter 394: Recruitment (Part 4)

”Simply applying it to Witch Pattern tailoring seems no different from the previous dexterity,” Rein mused.

After a brief thought, Rein went to the Training Room, inverted a one-minute hourglass, and then began shuttle runs on the field, along with normal and Secret Technique attacks.

After multiple tests, Rein basically understood the effect of this new core skill.

After activating Concentration, Absolute Speed improved very slightly.

In contrast, various attack moves involving full-body coordination or Secret Technique attacks showed relatively noticeable improvement, roughly by ten percent.

Do not underestimate this extent; for Rein’s current melee strength, every increment is extremely valuable.

Moreover, for such an enhancement and effect to appear in a Transcendent-level profession is already very good.

...

Sword Holder Headquarters.

Olena quickly found Claire and Beyonce.

”Lady Olena, are you saying that Captain Rein plans to recruit two new team members?”

Claire first looked at the rather capable and charming young woman she was meeting for the first time, then looked at Beyonce beside her, and confirmed again with Olena.

Since returning to the headquarters from Tafulin Town that day, they hadn’t seen Captain Rein.

However, during this time, they heard discussions about their captain almost every day.

Besides, they didn’t know how many groups of people came looking for them.

There were investigators from Sword Holder Headquarters, others from different departments under official banners, and even many noble families from the Empire sent people to inquire about the scene when their Captain Rein fought ’Carver’ Harold.

As for the other Sword Holders within the headquarters, they almost wore down the threshold to their dormitory.

Fortunately, they had prepared for this and uniformly answered with ”couldn’t see clearly in the sandstorm.”

”Yes, Miss Claire.” Olena smiled slightly and nodded.

Looking at the rather pretty young women in front of her, Olena couldn’t help but sigh inwardly that although Lord Rein’s strength advanced continually, his aesthetic criteria for recruiting team members hadn’t changed.

As long as they were female team members, they had to be young, beautiful, and distinctive.

”Uh... Are you sure you want the two of us to be responsible for this? Once Captain Rein’s intention to recruit spreads, I’m afraid over fifty, no, even over a hundred people will apply...”

”And what are the criteria for recruitment?” Beyonce suddenly asked from the side.

After all, with so many applicants, they’d need some standards for selection.

”Hmm? Is it that exaggerated?” Olena showed surprise.

But thinking about it soon made sense.

The problem, though, was that Lord Rein hadn’t specified the recruitment criteria in detail at that time.

”If it’s for male team members, reliability should be the priority; ideally, you should be acquainted with their background, and having a calm personality would be good,” Olena thought for a moment and said.

The few in Mingster, like Neoro, Angus, and Viery, all had rather calm personalities.

”As for female team members, as long as they’re young, beautiful, and have unique traits.”

”Hmm? Shouldn’t we be looking for those with strong capabilities?” Claire’s eyes widened, seemingly surprised by this standard.

”Yeah, or should we consider it from the perspective of supporting Captain Rein in battle?” Beyonce’s brows furrowed slightly, puzzled.

”Do you think your capabilities are strong?” Olena naturally understood the meaning behind their words and, after a brief thought, spoke.

”Uh...”

Olena’s words immediately brought the two back to the battle in Tafulin Town.

Back then, after using a second-level Witchcraft Defense Scroll, the two began acting like quails.

Claire and Beyonce found themselves at a loss for words.
