Chapter 1160: Chapter 395: Magic Potion Master (Part 4)

Soon, the two of them arrived at the door of a laboratory on the second floor. The door of the laboratory was ajar, and through the gap, Rein could clearly see that the interior was a large laboratory similar to the lecture halls of his previous life.

Seven or eight pharmacists in robes were working on something at several long tables.

In a separate room at the innermost part of the laboratory, partitioned by transparent glass, an elderly man with a white goatee was focused on creating some kind of potion with a pipette and beaker in hand.

”Lord Rein, the mentor seems to be making an Advanced Magic Potion. Let’s go take a look,” Alyosha said excitedly.

Advanced Magic Potion?

This immediately reminded Rein of something.

He had taken an Advanced Magic Potion when he stepped into the Transcendent realm.

Could it be that this Master Kafrela is making that potion?

Rein couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow, feeling quite intrigued. He quickly followed Alyosha and stopped a few meters outside the glass wall to observe carefully.

”Lord Rein, this is the Shadow Leopard Potion, the mentor...” Alyosha began to introduce softly beside him.

A few minutes later, a system prompt suddenly appeared:

[Ding! Detected host’s contact with potion making, triggering the subsequent transfer of Deadly Poison Master (Transcendent) to Magic Potion Master (Legendary)!]

[The prerequisites for transferring to Magic Potion Master (Legendary) are: 1. Potion-related profession at Transcendent level of at least lv5; 2. Spirit of more than 30 points; 3. Mastery of the creation of more than three types of Advanced Magic Potions... Current conditions not met! Transfer to Magic Potion Master (Legendary) failed!]

Seeing the system prompt in front of him, Rein couldn’t help but smile.

”Finally received the subsequent transfer prompt, it’s not easy at all,” Rein thought to himself.

Back then, when he was in Meist County, he had already transferred to Deadly Poison Master (Transcendent), but only after reaching Imperial City Tamriel did he receive the subsequent transfer information.

”However, getting the formulas for more than three Advanced Magic Potions is likely not easy.”

”But having the transfer prompt is enough; there’s no rush in one or two days.”

That evening, Rein took Anna to the Steward family manor for dinner with Javier and Alyosha, and they had a joyful time.

...

The next morning.

”Lord Rein, these are the major events that occurred within the Empire’s various territories this week,” Olena handed a piece of intelligence to Rein.

Rein took it and quickly read through it.

”In Westminster Province, an evil cult staged a massacre in Valis County, resulting in nearly a thousand casualties. Currently, the Westminster Sword Bearers Branch is handling it...”

”In Sava Province, the Steel-tusked Boar people tribe, having been beguiled, launched attacks on multiple nearby towns...”

”In Moselle Province, the ancient Mother Tree Sect has rekindled, attacking the Empire’s Secret Realm, the Dark Cavern, and triggering a surge of ancient Fierce Species from within, impacting surrounding towns, currently...”

”....”

Rein realized that the activities of the cults had become more frequent, perhaps under the directives of some divine influence.

A quick glance showed that except for a few incidents involving foreign races, most were related to cults, and in a short time, various cults had caused several tragedies in the Empire’s provinces!

”Could it be that there are no informants within the cults? If actions are taken after incidents have erupted, the casualties will be significant,” Rein said with a slight frown.

”There are, but achieving that is very difficult,” Olena thought for a moment and said.

”Because the initiation ceremonies of the cults are extremely meticulous with almost no loopholes to exploit. Besides that, simply passing the mind-bending evil magic, similar to the effects of a Truth Serum, has more than one level to it.”

”Moreover, there are other constraints, and spies, after attending multiple prayer ceremonies, even those with the strongest will can gradually lose themselves within.”

”If during any major ceremony, a Divine Projection descends, then it is truly an unsolvable existence.”

”I see.” Rein nodded.

No wonder the Empire is somewhat passive and often reacts late to most cult activities; it turns out that the problem lies here.

The method of ’Infernal Affairs’ simply doesn’t work with the cults.

”By the way, Lord Rein, these are the specific missions related to dragons or Dragon Descendants that you mentioned wanting to take on last time.”

”I’ve also collected and filtered some over the past few days, and these are some dragon-related creatures appearing in the Empire’s various provinces that the local branches are unable to resolve. You may take a look.”

Olena handed Rein a thick stack of documents with both hands.

”The ones at the top are, per your preference, the most powerful dragon-related creatures. However, I think you might consider those ranked second and third,” Olena said tactfully.
