Chapter 531: Chapter 233: Rise by 5 Levels (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_4

“Yes.”

Rein nodded.

Isn’t that the place where Cleya went?

“Right, Jennifer, didn’t you say there were two?”

“Yes, the other one reportedly went to some wizard school for further study, for as long as a year. But as for which school it was, these nobles haven’t been clear—likely due to confidentiality reasons.”

The beautiful Jennifer had spent a lot of time and energy after collecting this information to discern its authenticity. Although she couldn’t guarantee 100% reliability, the general direction was still reliable, or else she wouldn’t have come to discuss this matter with Rein.

“School?” Rein’s face showed contemplation.

In fact, as he read this part, he vaguely guessed the training strategy of the Sword Bearer organization of the Dragan Empire.

If that were the case, then he….

As Rein continued to flip through the materials, he found very little content regarding the Sword Bearer re-exam.

However, combining the previous content with what Trevo had told him earlier, Rein was fairly certain about the authenticity of the information, despite some parts being somewhat vague.

Given Rein’s current strength, qualifying for the Sword Bearer organization shouldn’t be a problem.

Now what he was striving for was to pass the re-exam, but even with the information the beautiful Jennifer had gathered, there wasn’t much detail about it.

However, two points were clear.

The first point was that if one passed the re-exam, the resources received and the treatment for those merely passing the initial exam were of completely different tiers; in other words, those who passed the re-exam would obtain better resources and more targeted training.

The second point was that only those who passed the re-exam would have the authority to form their own teams later on.

For Rein, since there were better terms to be had, they were naturally what he was after.

In addition, judging by the way Count Habbs treated the two Sword Bearers that day, Rein felt he might have underestimated the status of Sword Bearers in the Dragan Empire.

The incident involving more than a dozen noble deaths in the underground hall of Baron Elliot’s residence had, due to the intervention of those two Sword Bearers, failed to stir any waves at all.

The so-called convening of the noble council had also come to nothing.

That was because the family members of those deceased nobles also knew that convening a noble meeting without Count Habbs’ approval, with Bishop En being opposed to it, would be meaningless.

This made Rein look forward to the upcoming Sword Bearer assessment even more, after all, no one would complain about a higher status.

The following morning dawned early.

Rein got up early and started contemplating his strategy for adding points.

Actually, he had been thinking about this issue for the past few days, but it wasn’t until today that he thought it through more thoroughly.

First of all, the most powerful in combat was still the ability to deploy the secret technique—Shockwave, using the Tokkal Hammer Technique. To further strengthen his combat ability, it was a no-brainer to upgrade Shockwave to the next stage.

Upgrading Shockwave to an Intermediate Secret Technique required spending 2 Skill Points on Tokkal Hammer Technique to raise it to lv14, then another 2 Skill Points on Bear King Breathing Technique, similarly reaching above lv14.

Last, it would also require the use of 1 Golden Skill Point.

As his remaining Skill Points dropped from 6 to 2 and his Golden Skill Points from 2 to 1…

Suddenly, a flood of intensive Hammer Skill training memories and the vast memories of Bear King Breathing Technique surged into Rein’s mind.

Once Rein came to his senses, he noticed a key system prompt that had quietly arrived:

[Congratulations, you have comprehended the Intermediate Secret Technique of Tokkal Hammer Technique: Shockwave!]

Intermediate Secret Technique!

A smile couldn’t help but appear on the corners of Rein’s mouth!

Soon after, Rein noticed that on the Weapon Master (Legendary) panel, the icon for the Tokkal Hammer Technique secret technique ‘Shockwave’ had also changed slightly.

The hammer icon within showed denser and thicker circular arc lines, indicating a stronger impact force!

Below the icon on the right, the small text had also changed:

Shockwave (Intermediate Secret Technique) Effect: Use a special force application technique combining vital energy with multiple shocks to swing a heavy hammer, delivering a strike with ultra-high frequency vibrations.

(Note: Shockwave is a secret technique and cannot be enhanced with Skill Points.)

(To upgrade Shockwave to an Advanced Secret Skill, the following conditions must be met: First, Tokkal Hammer Skill lv16 or above (Hammer Specialization can offset some level requirements); Second, Bear King Breathing Technique lv16 or above. Third, expend 2 Golden Skill Points.)

Merely an extra word—”ultra”—represented a kind of qualitative improvement!

“Do I need 2 Golden Skill Points to upgrade to an Advanced Secret Skill?”

“It seems that I won’t be able to upgrade the Hammer Skill secret technique ‘Shockwave’ in the short term.”

“So, next I should upgrade….”

“Flapping~”

Just as Rein was considering his options, the sound of a bird flapping its wings resounded outside the window!

Hm? It didn’t sound like Blood Feather’s wings; could this be…

Rein couldn’t help but turn his head to look outside the window.
