Chapter 530: Chapter 233: Rise 5 Levels (2-in-1 Mega Chapter)_3

Moreover, with the addition of nobles or wealthy merchants, the new guild that Jennifer controls will see a significant increase in strength. Many business deals and transport routes that were previously out of reach can now be gradually considered.

When the benefits reach a certain level, the guild, as a collective of interests, will advance and retreat together in many matters.

This is similar to the recent situation with the Black Flame Cult and those noble families closely associated with it.

In this case, the safety issue of the Crowley family within Meister County is basically no longer Rein’s concern.

Of course, the cultivation of the direct descendants still needs to continue, but this is not something that yields results overnight.

“…As for my dear, you just need to have a nominal involvement, you take fifty percent of the profits, and I will share the rest with them,” said the beautiful lady, her eyes shining as she spoke of business.

Upon hearing this, Rein was taken aback, smiled and said, “No need, Jennifer, we can just split it evenly, and normally you can keep my share with you.”

“Do not refuse, you have already invested quite a lot in the acquisition of rare ores,” Rein raised his hand, stopping the beautiful lady from speaking further.

…

“Another thing is, um… I would like Jenny to go with you to Mingster. The accession of these noble and merchant families means we will now have sufficient strength to transport goods to Mingster for sale.”

“I believe that these products from the other side of the sea will find a good market in Mingster.”

Rein nodded, thinking it was a good idea.

After this trip to Mingster, he might not return to County Town for a while.

If Jennifer could expand the business to Mingster, then he could leave some miscellaneous tasks to the new guild.

For instance, he planned to take with him the Lington War Dogs, the Blood Feathered Horned Eagles, and the black horses to Mingster, and they would need dependable care during the days of the assessments.

He had originally planned to bring the short-bodied Matteo, but now that he had the channel of Jennifer’s new guild that was clearly a better choice.

“Oh, by the way, my dear, there’s one more thing.”

“It’s about the information on the Dragan Empire Sword Bearer’s assessment you asked me to collect; I’ve almost got everything now. Most of it is from the Yakesen Auction House, and some bits from other nobles in Meister.”

“Oh? Let me have a look,” Rein raised an eyebrow, clearly more interested in this information than the business.

Since none of the people he knew, including Hamilton, had ever participated in the Sword Bearer organization’s assessments, they had no idea what form these assessments took.

Soon after the Black Flame Cult situation was resolved, Rein had entrusted Jennifer, the beautiful lady, to buy some intelligence through Yakesen Auction House.

When she handed over a stack of papers, Rein started to read with barely concealed excitement.

Although many details were vague due to the empire’s secrecy, the overall outline of the Sword Bearer organization could still be understood.

First and foremost, the history of the Sword Bearer organization of the Dragan Empire is ancient, established not long after the foundation of the empire, with over 1,800 years of history.

During that period, the name had changed several times; initially, it seems to have been called the Guardians under the imperial royalty, now it has been changed to Sword Bearers, nominally under the military department, but the information also notes that it is still actually led by the imperial royalty.

In contrast, the imperial navy’s Tide Striders organization was founded much later, said to be just over 600 years old.

At this, Rein’s gaze flickered as he pondered.

Considering this, the Sword Bearer organization has an ancient history. No wonder the members of the Fish-Dragon Team said that the ‘Tide Striders’ special department of the navy was established mimicking the ‘Sword Bearers’.

The function of the Sword Bearer organization, if described in one sentence, would be to guard the Dragan Empire.

The data shows that domestically, the Sword Bearers mainly deal with issues that are too complex or insoluble for some imperial departments, such as cults and special incidents.

Externally, they engage more in collecting, competing for, or confronting special resources against the Eagle Federation, or fighting against foreign races beyond the empire’s territories.

“I see,” Rein nodded, feeling somewhat enlightened.

If the navy’s Tide Striders are limited to the empire’s maritime domain, then the Sword Bearers cover the entire territory, even beyond the empire’s borders.

Moreover, Rein noticed a particularly distinctive aspect, different from the previous noble ranking assessments.

That is, those who pass the assessment to enter the Sword Bearers will undergo several months to half a year or even longer of intensive training.

It seems that the related staff of the Sword Bearer organization will make targeted cultivation suggestions based on the characteristics of the successful candidates, and arrange corresponding special training.

“Targeted cultivation…” Rein murmured.

The beautiful lady, upon hearing this, seemed to think of something and said, “My dear, there was also someone from Meister County who joined the Sword Bearers. It was just that later, their family relocated to the provincial capital of Mingster.”

“They mentioned that one of them, soon after joining the Sword Bear organization, went on to further his studies for a while at the Imperial Royal Academy.”

“The Royal Academy?” Rein asked in surprise, seeking confirmation.
