Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 850: Chapter 848: New Instance Quest

[Elite Skeleton Shooter (Summoned Creature) kills Ariel, the Celestial Destiny Tree-man (Level 9, BOSS), you gain 1 experience point, Commander Lin gains 1 experience point, the killer gains 119 experience points, other participants gain 51 experience points.]

[Westminster Cathedral Big Event Dungeon, Boss No. 2 Ariel, the Celestial Destiny Tree-man has been killed, the passage to the Westminster Cemetery has been opened.]

With a ding sound, new information popped up, and Gu Xi realized that the second BOSS, Ariel, the Celestial Destiny Tree-man, had fallen.

Before Gu Xi could go forward and take a look at the fallen Ariel, the Celestial Destiny Tree-man, the leaders of various forces in Britain rushed over with their troops.

They quickly moved the defense line from the station side to this side and helped Gu Xi clear the already fallen battlefield.

Anna, in the dungeon, also brought the Grand Knight to Gu Xi’s side.

”Your subordinates are strong,” Anna said, looking up at the black dragon and red dragon still circling in the sky.

Although only part of the apple tree was burnt, the sunlight had already fallen from where the shade of the apple tree was burnt.

This area has now returned to the control of Victoria City.

Since the controlled part of the apple tree was burnt, it gave the uncontrolled portion of the apple tree a chance to counterattack.

The apple tree here now can’t provide much help for the cultists.

This is a progress for the British troops.

Upon observing this situation, Anna was naturally quite happy. She said to Gu Xi at this point, ”Baron Gu, I know it’s hard now, but there is one thing I’d like to ask you for help.”

”Please speak, Eldest Princess,” Gu Xi, who was planning to loot the corpse, stopped his steps upon hearing this.

He knew this was the arrival of follow-up tasks.

Sure enough, Anna continued, ”You see, going from here, there’s the cemetery of the royal family, the British royal family, regardless of which dynasty, most were born here, ascended the throne here, and were buried at that location.”

While speaking, Anna pointed to the already ruined atrium of the Westminster Cathedral.

This is the location where the kings of Britain ascended the throne.

Gu Xi could also understand, as he heard many things from Eldest Princess Anna.

However, he was somewhat unclear about the significance of what Anna said.

”Baron Gu, buried there are the coffins of past kings, along with their personal items. This time going over, the enemy will surely target the kings of the past.

But you also know the situation with the British royal family.

Most of the kings have the potential to convert into undead.

So even if the cultists are powerful, at most they can only convert one of the kings, and they might likely start picking from the weaker side.”

Upon hearing this, Gu Xi seemed to understand something.

”You mean, to be careful in the cemetery fight, don’t hit the bodies of the kings?” Gu Xi asked curiously.

”No, there’s no need for that. I just hope that the burial items of the kings won’t be disturbed,” Anna glanced at Gu Xi, stating her request.

At this moment, Gu Xi heard a ding sound in his ear.

[Ding! While interacting with the Eldest Princess in the dungeon, you received an order, activating a dungeon task!]

[Dungeon Task: Treasure of the King]

[Task Description: From inside the Westminster Cathedral Cemetery, search for and retrieve the burial items originally belonging to the kings of the past.]

[Task Requirements: Retrieve a minimum of two burial items (0/2)]

[Task Rewards: King’s Weapon Set (Illusionary Items).]

[Description 1: Some things, once you possess them, you resemble a king.]

[Description 2: To be buried alongside a king, it must surely be the king’s favorite.]

Looking at the dungeon task in front of him, Gu Xi rolled his eyes.

He initially thought the rewards from the dungeon tasks were as good as last time, directly granting a skill level up.

It turned out that despite the tasks getting increasingly difficult, the rewards became more abstract.

King’s Weapon Set, what is this thing?

Is it used to transform weapons?

That also depends on whether Gu Xi wants it.

What kind of king could Britain have, and how could their weapons be worth transforming?

Could it be some Snake-Slaying Sword? Heaven-Opening Axe?

If you had such transformations, perhaps Gu Xi would take them out to show off.

After all, White Impermanence’s skin is genuinely useful for Gu Xi.

The problem is, there aren’t any.

To reclaim just two burial items? Gu Xi wished he could open all the tombs of British kings and take every item inside.

Ultimately, Gu Xi decided not to do it.

This dungeon is quite important for Gu Xi; his goal is to complete all the dungeon tasks, and even if he can’t complete them all, he intends to finish most of the tasks appearing within the dungeon.

Before accepting a task, Gu Xi couldn’t afford to offend the NPCs issuing tasks in the dungeon.

After accepting the task, Gu Xi didn’t pay too much attention; he just quietly walked to the fallen body of Ariel, the Celestial Destiny Tree-man, reached out, and pulled hard from its body.

This Ariel, the Celestial Destiny Tree-man, initially had a body tough enough.

When Commander Lin’s subordinates attacked, they used no restraint.

This strike instantly hacked Ariel, the Celestial Destiny Tree-man, into pieces.

By the time Gu Xi arrived, what had looked like a large tree with four arms had been turned into a pile of wood fragments.

Even its weapon turned into fragments, scattered all over, leaving nothing behind.

When Gu Xi arrived, the ground was covered in broken wood.

Looking at the situation ahead of him, Gu Xi walked forward, pushed aside the wood, and happened to see the Celestial Destiny Stone previously embedded in Ariel’s abdomen.

It’s actually just a plain, large stone, and from a distance, it looked almost like a large block of concrete.

But when this thing was flipped out by Gu Xi, it carried a distinctly different aura.

Gu Xi thought for a moment, raised his left hand, and activated the Flame Light Six Paths Lamp effect; the Netherworld Dragon Robe Carrier stood behind Gu Xi.

Gu Xi closed his eyes, through the carrier’s perspective, he saw that this Celestial Destiny Stone had a strong aura of national fortune.

Although Gu Xi could clearly feel that the aura of national fortune was fake, it didn’t matter.

With these thoughts, Gu Xi glanced at Anna, then pointed his hand.

Dragon Burial Vein!

With the activation of the Yellow Springs Dragon Robe skill, the national fortune upon the Celestial Destiny Stone was activated by Gu Xi.
