Jiben is indeed a skilled Little Elf at tree planting. Just by glancing at the instructions for planting the Grass Returning Pill, he understood the essence of these trees.

Compared to simplified versions of the Grass Returning Pill, the standard Grass Returning Pill before him is the true core.

Because after planting the standard Grass Returning Pill, time is not an issue, the most important thing is that the Tree Planter can consume the first round of the Grass Returning Pill, enhancing their own strength.

This is particularly attractive to the Little Elves with no Level, who are mere drifters.

If Jiben weren’t the Leader of the Lettuce Duchy, he might have immediately requested to plant the Grass Returning Pill.

As for the simplified version of the Grass Returning Pill, Jiben did not pay much attention to it.

As long as time is not a concern, you can plant however you wish, getting it to grow is not a problem.

”Sir, are you in a hurry now?”

If you’re not in a hurry, then you should first plant the saplings.

You’ve already mentioned that the Magic Plant District eventually has to be relocated, so the trees planted now will certainly need to be moved later on.

Although moving trees isn’t a problem for us, each move is like injuring the tree’s roots.

This will result in the trees not growing well.

The yield may not be good.”

Gu Xi suddenly thought of a situation, ”After the saplings are planted, could they grow well enough that you could produce second or third generation saplings?”

This question was difficult for Jiben to answer, ”Sir, we haven’t even seen the saplings, so I can’t answer that.”

”Then for now, settle down here, and take care of the trees in the Magic Plant District. I’ll leave the materials with you, and you should also think about how to proceed if the Magic Plant District needs to be relocated.”

Jiben quickly accepted Gu Xi’s assigned task.

It was the ideal task for them, and with abundant resources in the Magic Plant District, they certainly weren’t going to oppose.

After arranging everything for Jiben and his group, Gu Xi prepared to Return to Yalidov Tower.

Having just captured the new era’s Yalidov City, Gu Xi had many issues to attend to.

Moreover, Gu Xi needed to prepare for any counterattacks from the Yalidov side.

Although the enemies inside the city were cleared, the ones outside were not the same.

After thinking it over, Gu Xi hurried towards Yalidov Tower, notifying Shaya to return.

However, before Shaya could return, Eve unexpectedly appeared before Gu Xi.

”Sir.”

”Eve, weren’t you sorting those books? Why did you come here now?”

Upon seeing Eve, Gu Xi couldn’t help but ask.

He clearly remembered that the number of those books was quite extensive, since the libraries of three schools were moved directly, and newspapers and magazines hadn’t been sorted yet either.

Gu Xi estimated that with Eve’s capability, organizing all the books would take at least six months or so.

With it being his busiest time, why would she suddenly run over?

In response to Gu Xi’s inquiry, Eve presented him with a strategy guide and several school journals.

”Sir, while organizing various materials, I inadvertently discovered this situation.”

Gu Xi took a look and noticed that Eve had highlighted the important parts of the strategy guide.

”On the Hidden Things Under the Church”

Upon seeing it, Gu Xi realized it was a strategy guide for a western-style game.

Gu Xi himself could write such strategic papers.

But since Eve brought this paper, there must be something different about it.

So Gu Xi opened the strategic paper and sat on the Holy Silver Evil Coffin, studying it carefully.

After reading for a moment, Gu Xi’s expression turned slightly.

He understood why Eve brought such a paper to him.

After putting the paper down, Gu Xi looked through the remaining school journals and discovered Eve had chosen contents similar to that paper.

”Are you suggesting burying corpses under the library now?”

”Intelligent corpses, according to this paper’s research, those who stored corpses under the church did so to suppress National Fortune.

So the corpses they chose were kings, knights, all people who contributed to the country.

Sir, look here, it’s recorded exactly as such.

Therefore, my request is to bury scribes, decryptors, and the like under the library.”

Gu Xi was somewhat speechless about Eve’s request.

”Eve, you’ve been in Yalidov City for a while, you should know what these types of corpses ultimately turn into.”

”They transform into various Magic Professions, the best possibility being turning into Corpse Witch, and at worst into Skeleton Mage.”

Eve immediately explained.

She was well aware of what Gu Xi would do if he truly had such corpses.

But Eve also understood that this was the only chance to enhance the library, even improving research capabilities under Gu Xi’s leadership.

If she missed this opportunity, forming a research team might require much more time and effort.

”Sir, I know these corpses are precious, but I have a way to handle this. See this material, also found in the university library.”

Gu Xi took another paper to look at.

”On the Differences Between On-Site Summoning and Nurtured Summoning”

This was a comparative paper, where the author used extensive data to prove a point.

Unless urgently needing corpses, bringing them back to nurture leads to higher Attribute values in the Undead Corps summoned in the future than those summoned on-site.

And within this paper were records of the most suitable places and times for corpse nurturing.

There was even advice on cost-effective corpse nurturing.

For instance, burying corpses under trees results in more energetic and vital Undead summoned.

Also, burying corpses in places like churches tends to produce Bosses, etc.

And Eve pointed out one statement, which said nurturing corpses under a library’s basement for a year could boost the Magic Corps’ Attack Power by ten to thirty percent.

After reading the paper, Gu Xi nearly laughed.

”Eve, what’s written here is nurturing corpses, whereas you’d be exploiting them. Not even capitalists are as exploitative as you.”

”No, Sir, look, we’re about to establish a dedicated Magic District now, right?

In our Magic District, we certainly can’t just have Magic Towers and Magic Academies; we’ll also need other research facilities.

We can’t always rely on external corpses; we’ll also need our own learning and promotion system.

My plan is this: any corpses suitable for becoming Mages, once they arrive, should be placed in the Magic District for three years. Within three years, I’ll nurture the corpses for a year, have them learn for a year, research for a year, and then plan to convert them into Mages.”
