Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 810: Chapter 808: Preparation for Battle

Talking about the situation in Yalidu City, Gu Xi and the others quickly arrived at the Assembly Hall.

By this time Luna and the others already knew Gu Xi’s next line of thought, and Gu Xi also understood Yalidov’s current situation.

Aside from the Evil Path Demon Hall and Pure White Cloud City that had been exchanged for but could not be built yet due to missing prerequisites, most of the buildings had already been completed.

In particular, the two most important Champion buildings and the Dragon Valley Teleportation Gate had long been finished and had been running smoothly for a while.

Right now, both the Wangxiang Militia and the White Robed Iron Cavalry had already trained up to sixty men; if not for the fact they couldn’t fly, their combat power would definitely have surpassed the Black Dragon Corps under Gu Xi’s command by now.

”We’ve tested it. The Wangxiang Civilian Corps and the Three Paths Demon Spring are both very special in how they work, and they take up a huge amount of space. Once they’re placed, a whole large plot for one district is basically gone.

So we could only split them between two districts and place them both in Yaliduwei New City, right where things had been blown to pieces before. That place is now called Wangxiang District, and the other is Santu District.”

While Gu Xi was studying the map to grasp the situation, Luna kept explaining the changes on the Yaliduwei New City side.

Gu Xi had actually wanted to go and take a look himself at first, walk a lap in person and get familiar with the new changes in Yalidu City.

But one sentence from Eldest Princess Anna talked him out of it.

”Isn’t your current objective to take the other time periods?”

”Once you’ve taken them, the situation you see will have changed again. What’s the point of looking at it now?”

Gu Xi immediately knew that Eldest Princess Anna was right.

With Gu Xi’s current forces, taking the remaining five time-period Yalidu Cities would be a very easy matter.

His troops would only grow in number as they fought, and their strength would only increase as they fought.

Over the coming stretch of time, all kinds of empty lots would keep appearing under his control, and some buildings would have to be moved again anyway. It would be better for Gu Xi to finish sorting everything out in the end and then go over to inspect.

”Understood, Eldest Princess Anna. Get some troops ready. This time, I’ll command in person.”

”Alright!”

Eldest Princess Anna responded decisively.

Then Gu Xi turned his head and looked toward Luna. ”Luna, start taking stock of all the buildings and get ready to relocate them. Eve, those materials and books I brought back, you’re in charge of sorting them.

Shaya, wait outside. I expect Agricultural University will be sending over saplings soon; you’re responsible for receiving them.”

Gu Xi had no intention of picking an auspicious time or anything; this wasn’t some grand event—no need to choose a lucky day just to send out troops.

Since he happened to be moving house today, he might as well launch a wave of attacks as a celebration.

Once the decision was made, Gu Xi’s subordinates moved into action immediately.

The troops in the city were also rapidly mobilized.

Each Hero quickly took their position, and Amirka was the first to arrive before Gu Xi.

”My lord!”

”Finished the book?”

When Gu Xi obtained the [Iron Cavalry Strategy Book] from the White Immortal, he had read it once himself and found it of little use to him, so he simply handed the [Iron Cavalry Strategy Book] over to Amirka for him to study.

”I’ve finished half of it and have mastered three different Cavalry Charge Skills.”

Amirka reported his situation to Gu Xi right away.

He and Di Mi were the two Heroes under Gu Xi who possessed Leader Potential.

However, their development paths were completely different.

Amirka had only one goal: to form a Knight Order.

For now, the Red Knights under Gu Xi were assigned to him.

As for the Cyan Knights and Pale Knights, they hadn’t been placed under his command.

On that point, Amirka couldn’t really say anything.

But he was already planning that once the Nether Blue Knight Order and the Pale Knight Order were established in the future, he would serve as their Commander-in-Chief.

When Gu Xi handed him the [Iron Cavalry Strategy Book], he began studying it immediately.

Amirka also understood that, by now, the strongest Cavalry under Gu Xi were no longer the three-color Death Knight substitutes.

They were the recently acquired White Robed Iron Cavalry.

These White Robed Iron Cavalry had high Level, strong Combat Power, and came in large numbers.

The Red, Cyan, and Pale Knights produced at most two per week and relied mainly on various special methods for large-scale training.

But the White Robed Iron Cavalry were different: with a weekly output of 20, you could gather a thousand-man unit in a year.

That was something the Red, Cyan, and Pale Knights couldn’t reach even in several years.

Once Amirka chose the Red Knights at the start, it meant giving up on the others.

Now he had to pay the price for that choice, just like Di Mi had to wage war on his own in-game to prove his strength.

Amirka also had to show something tangible to prove himself; only then would Gu Xi entrust such an important Cavalry force to him.

So Amirka hadn’t relaxed for a moment in his study of the [Iron Cavalry Strategy Book].

But because the time was too short, and the White Immortal’s Level was far too high, he had only managed to learn three of the Cavalry Charge Skills so far.

Still, for Gu Xi, that was already enough.

It proved that Amirka was working hard to learn, instead of doing what he used to do—just staying at the Scarlet Temple, waiting for Red Knights to fall into his lap.

”Good. You’re coming with us for this battle as well. Once the fighting starts, you’ll be one of the main forces.”

While Gu Xi was speaking with Amirka, the other Heroes arrived as well.

Under Gu Xi, only Heroes were allowed into the Assembly Hall; everyone else at Boss Level had to wait outside.

Seeing his Heroes gathered, Gu Xi swept his gaze over them.

”You’ve been in Yalidov for quite a few days now, so you should know why I’ve called you here this time.

That’s right, we’re going to attack the Yalidu Cities of the other time periods.

This is an opportunity for all of you.

Once we take them, the range that Yalidov can reach will expand considerably.

At the same time, we’ll be facing even stronger Deceitful Shadow enemies in the Mirror Image Underground Palace.

By then we’ll be facing enemies on multiple fronts.

If you haven’t grown by then, I’m sorry, but you’ll be left behind by me.

So this battle is your chance to prove yourselves.

The better you fight, the more troops you’ll be assigned later.

If someone can take one time-period Yalidu City on their own, it’s not impossible that I’ll hand that Yalidu City over to you to manage.

Do your best.”

After giving the Heroes a look, Gu Xi pushed open the great doors of the Assembly Hall.

Outside the doors stood a crowd of Undead Bosses.

Behind them were the Undead Corps under Gu Xi at Level 5 and above.

Looking at this dense mass of troops, a hint of satisfaction flashed through Gu Xi’s eyes.

These were the result of his years of effort.

This war is in the bag.
