Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 845: Chapter 843: Poison Wave Attack

Roar!

The evilized zombie corps surged forward and clashed with the woodenized enemies.

As the battle commenced, Gu Xi noticed that the enemies before him were evidently stronger in level compared to those cultists at the gate.

Their average level is 8, but the guards and priests evidently reached level 9, nearly breaking through to the next checkpoint.

Both the guards and priests were professionally trained; even if woodenized, their weapons and equipment were not affected, on the contrary, their combat power improved due to their physical mutations.

The zombies on Evilizer Sen’s side were all transformed by Gu Xi through the Soul Summoning Skill since entering the realm. Though they were enhanced by Evilizer Sen, they had not replaced their weapons or equipment.

Most of them rushed forward unarmed.

A few, even if armed, only wielded weapons like daggers.

On the other hand, the woodenized people had somewhat decent weapons in their hands, especially the guards. The British Royal Family loved ostentation, naturally providing the best weapons and equipment for the guards of the royal estate.

When they fought, the evilized zombies and the woodenized people surprisingly were evenly matched.

This situation was quite displeasing to Evilizer Sen.

He believed he couldn’t let things continue like this.

At this rate, even when all the evilized zombies are done fighting, it might not be enough to reach the enemy boss location.

So Evilizer Sen raised his hand.

”Retreat, form a defensive battle array, entrap them within the array and fight.”

Standing further back, Gu Xi naturally heard Evilizer Sen’s command.

Somewhat surprised by Evilizer Sen’s response, Gu Xi noted that Evilizer Sen is a relatively decisive hero. When realizing the situation was unfavorable to the battle, he abandoned his partial advantage and opted for a more suitable combat method.

This hero seems to possess potential and merits focused cultivation in the future.

As Gu Xi considered this, the brave Ah Luo, replaced by Arroyo, arrived with his troops.

Once the brave fighter arrived, the neglected Corpse Witches found a leader.

Some of them were directly selected to join the Demon Sacrifice Camp.

Another part followed the Corpse Witch Boss, trailing the Demon Sacrifice Camp.

Even if not joining the Demon Sacrifice Camp, with the brave fight’s direction, they could accomplish more.

Currently, the brave fighter was conducting a new magic ceremony.

Slowdown Skill!

This portion of the magic ceremony could be executed by ordinary Skeleton Mages within the Demon Sacrifice Camp.

The brave fighter, upon arriving, understood the gap between Evilizer Sen and the enemy.

In terms of weaponry, the brave fighter could not forcibly enhance Evilizer Sen, but in weakening the enemy, he could directly intervene.

Thus, a Slowdown Skill was applied, further reducing the already slowed pace of the enemy due to woodenization.

They were now weakened to about a fifth of a zombie’s speed.

Meaning, at a zombie’s pace, they can retaliate once for every five strikes against them.

If a zombie runs fifty meters, they might barely cover ten meters.

After completing the Slowdown Skill, the brave fighter did not rest idly.

In his spare time, he researched two new magic ceremonies.

One was the previous Mana Distortion.

The other specifically targeted Corpse Witches.

The Corpse Witches excel at Poison Cloud Technique.

No matter the type of Corpse Witch, whether summoned through Soul Summoning Skill by Gu Xi, or trained from Gu Xi’s various training camps, they possess similar abilities.

Hence, the brave fighter ingeniously crafted a new Ritual Magic based on the Poison Cloud Technique.

Poison Wave!

Under the direction of the brave fighter, all Corpse Witches amassed Poison Gas Bombs, Poison Cloud Technique, and Poisonous Fog Skill, which were compressed by the brave fighter.

Ultimately forming a massive greenish cloud-like gas mass.

The gas mass centered around where the brave fighter stood, slowly rotating clockwise.

Even Gu Xi, nearer in front, felt everything contained within this giant mass.

”Brave fighter, is everything alright?”

”Rest assured, sir, it’s still under control now.”

Listening to the brave fighter, Gu Xi remained cautious.

Controlling mana carefully, if this gas showed any issue, Gu Xi would immediately unleash the Flame Domain centered around it.

Though unsure of countering the gas, Gu Xi understood the gas feared fire.

High enough temperatures would dissolve the gas entirely.

Fortunately, the brave fighter did not disappoint Gu Xi. Concentrating the gas sufficiently, he pushed it forward hand extended, propelling it rapidly towards the roots of the apple tree.

Along the path of the gas, all that it touched was influenced, even the evilized zombies under Evilizer Sen were poisoned.

If they were not zombies, a single wave of poison might have eradicated them.

Fortunately, Isabella accompanying Gu Xi promptly intervened, casting Blood Rain, restoring the life force of evilized zombies.

If not for her timely response, Evilizer Sen would be stomping in frustration.

The zombies took a substantial hit, while the woodenized people suffered even more severely.

As the gas reached the woodenized side, it was the exact moment it fully unleashed.

The poison surged forward like a wave, with increasing speed and momentum.

By the time the one standing by the Celestial Destiny Stone realized, it was already too late.

Under the push of the Poison Wave, nearly two-thirds of the woodenized people were poisoned down.

Those poisoned, their skin instantly turned green.

Yet, they tried leveraging their woodenization ability to absorb the poison.

They failed to consider the type of poison they encountered.

This was a concentrated attack from various Corpse Witches’ toxic gases.

Even zombies couldn’t withstand it, let alone these woodenized people relying merely on woodenization for enhancement; how could they possibly repel the poison?

Under the impact of the toxin, woodenized folks had no chances. Once contaminated, they collapsed in one second, losing blood in three, unable to hold for more than thirty seconds.

Once the green poison dissipated entirely, only three hundred of the original thousands of woodenized remained, even the one who kept his gaze on the ceiling opening was poisoned, now focusing on the brave fighter.

Gu Xi also glanced at the brave fighter.

Now slightly awkward, the brave fighter stated: ”I hadn’t expected such strength, previously only considering the Corpse Witches I brought along.”
