Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 842: Chapter 840: Slaying and a New Target

As Gatekeeper Kaisa retreated, the Ghost Dragon in the sky once again swooped down.

This time, Gatekeeper Kaisa didn’t dare to be careless; he understood that his body couldn’t take another hit.

If the Ghost Dragon struck him again, he feared he would be done for.

So Gatekeeper Kaisa sprinted into the gate in one swift motion.

As he dashed inside, he cast a provocative glance at the Ghost Dragon in the sky.

If Gu Xi could hear his inner thoughts, he might have heard something like, ”If you have the guts, come and hit me.”

But at the moment he entered the gate, Gatekeeper Kaisa’s expression suddenly changed as he realized something was amiss behind the door.

”What’s going on here?”

Before Gatekeeper Kaisa could understand the situation, he found his body stiffening upon entering the gate.

He just lowered his head and saw his legs had become corpses, the flesh even started to decay, revealing the bones underneath.

Gatekeeper Kaisa let out a single scream and wanted to run back outside.

But it was already too late.

If he hadn’t rushed into the gate, he wouldn’t have encountered such a predicament.

But he thought he could hide behind the gate to recover for a bit.

This made him suffer greatly.

The Death Incarnation-Titan and the Netherworld Dragon Robe Carrier, who had just entered the gate, jointly transformed the gate into the true Gate of the Underworld.

This was evident from the slowing speed of the Cultists emerging.

Yet Gatekeeper Kaisa foolishly knew nothing and thought the area behind the door was safe, rushing right in.

He fulfilled his earlier words, ”You’re courting death; the gate of the Netherworld will open for you.”

Gatekeeper Kaisa never expected that his mere words would become his ultimate fate.

Just as he was about to charge out of the gate, his last ounce of strength was spent; his fingers reached the gate’s panel but couldn’t push it open.

In the end, Gatekeeper Kaisa fell heavily onto the ground.

Subsequently, the marble doors of Westminster Cathedral transformed into a kind of grayish white.

It felt as though every color was drained away.

And far behind, Gu Xi’s ear was greeted with a ding.

[Westminster Cathedral major event instance, Boss Number One Gatekeeper Kaisa has been defeated, the path to the inside of Westminster Cathedral has been opened.]

With the sound, Gu Xi noticed that the gate didn’t open; rather, it remained tightly shut.

The grayish white gate was like a dam, blocking everyone’s view.

At the panels of the door, one could see Gatekeeper Kaisa trying to squeeze out of the gate but stuck therein.

Just then, the voice of Eldest Princess Anna in the instance emerged from under the Soul Summoning Tower.

She appeared just as Gu Xi had seen her before, her various pieces of equipment emitting different colored lights in Gu Xi’s eyes.

”Baron Gu, your Power is formidable.”

Gu Xi pointed the Illusion Magic Wand at the Soul Summoning Tower and descended to Anna’s presence from its top.

”Greetings, Eldest Princess.”

Gu Xi bowed his head slightly, but the Eldest Princess Anna, who always followed behind Gu Xi, showed no reaction, just staring at the self forever living in the instance before her.

”No need for formalities, your arrival has resolved many things for us, but the occupied gate was merely the most trivial of Westminster Cathedral’s circumstances.

We now face many matters needing resolution, the Royal Family requires your Power.”

”I fight for you.”

Upon hearing Gu Xi’s words, Anna smiled with delight, ”Very good, quite spirited, the Royal Family needs someone like you as a cornerstone; after this Westminster Cathedral battle is concluded, I will report your deeds.

The Royal Family will certainly reward you sufficiently.”

Gu Xi was slightly taken aback; he hadn’t expected Anna to say such things.

Yet for him, such words are passing thoughts at best.

The Royal Family’s matters exist outside the instance.

As of now, even if Gu Xi sent back a corpse of Eldest Princess Anna, he wouldn’t be able to acquire anything valuable from the British Royal Family.

Seeing Gu Xi merely smiled without speaking, Anna also felt a bit surprised.

Yet as Britain’s Eldest Princess, she possessed ample political and military wisdom.

With Gu Xi unresponsive, she swiftly smoothed over the situation and changed the subject quickly.

”Baron Gu, in the next battle, how about you lead as the vanguard?”

”Alright.”

Reaching this point in the Westminster Cathedral major event instance was a first for Gu Xi.

He wasn’t aware of the normal process, but one thing was certain: this instance wouldn’t be as difficult as his first visit.

Accompanied by a large force, Gu Xi didn’t have to fret over issues of being the vanguard or not.

If Anna hadn’t proposed this, Gu Xi might have charged directly all the way through.

Yet now with Anna’s early proposal, Gu Xi was willing to fulfill the request.

”That’s good, I’ll inform them.” Once Anna saw Gu Xi agree, she swiftly issued commands for various forces to advance their defenses to the Westminster Cathedral gate.

After Anna left, Eldest Princess Anna following Gu Xi voiced her thoughts.

”Was I really like that back then?”

Gu Xi understood what Eldest Princess Anna meant, smiling as he replied, ”Yes, Anna back then performed quite well, but incomparable to you; you’ve died for Britain at least three times.

But is your plan truly feasible?”

”Feasible, the poisoning counts as your action, this aspect won’t have issues, and I’ve calculated everything clearly; it will definitely be executed after defeating Spore Cultist Charlie.

This ensures we have enough time to complete the instance.

Once the instance is completed, everything within will vanish.

At that moment, all things inside the instance will reset, we know fully well what reset implies.

That means all that survived within the instance will die.

You poisoned from the start, and the Double Death effect can activate as well.

Then a new Anna will appear in Yalidu City.

Of course, that’s the least ideal Status, truthfully during the Westminster Cathedral, I didn’t actually go far; I encountered trouble below the Apple Tree.

If you loosened your grip, perhaps the instance’s version of me would perish under the Apple Tree; you could took a chance to take the corpse away.”

Eldest Princess Anna’s plan considered everything thoroughly.
