Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 849: Chapter 847: The Black Dragon Displays Its Might

As Commander Lin’s subordinates were fighting the Celestial Destiny Tree Man there, the troops brought by Gu Xi had also reached the vicinity of the Celestial Destiny Tree Man.

The first to arrive were not Gu Xi’s Bone Dragons or Ghost Dragons, but the Red Dragons and Black Dragons, who hadn’t been deployed much.

When they were initially placed near Yaliduvi Tower, they all thought they were Gu Xi’s most powerful combat forces.

But as the Dragon Valley Teleportation Gate was completed and the Earth Vein Ghost Dragons took position, the status of the Black Dragons declined sharply.

Now, the purpose of these Black Dragons and Red Dragons is to visit Dragon Valley once a week to deceive some juvenile dragons to join Gu Xi’s dragon forces.

At other times, they just flew near Yaliduvi Tower without participating in any battles.

This situation made the equally confident Dragon Race quite displeased.

Now that Gu Xi had rarely released them, they certainly charged toward the Celestial Destiny Tree Man immediately.

When the Black Dragons and Red Dragons were nearing the Celestial Destiny Tree Man, they suddenly felt something was amiss above their heads, as the apple branches above seemed to come alive, continuously striking at them.

Under the thrashing of the apple branches, half of the flying Black Dragons and Red Dragons were knocked out of the sky.

Although they instantly flipped over and flew back into the air, this attack served as a severe warning to them.

The sky was not their domain.

This situation made the Black Dragons quite displeased.

They were supposed to be the most powerful of the Dragon Race, and being suppressed by the Bone Dragons and Ghost Dragons was tolerable since their level was higher.

Now even a mere tree dared to attack them, this was outrageous.

Thus, the Black Dragons and Red Dragons, upon taking flight again, did not charge at the Celestial Destiny Tree Man but instead rushed at the branches that had just struck them, breathing dragon breath at the branches.

Whether Black Dragons or Red Dragons, their dragon breaths all had a flame effect.

This flame was highly destructive to the trees.

As they sprayed the dragon flame chaotically in the sky, they directly ignited the branches.

The apple branches reacted quickly, and upon realizing it couldn’t extinguish the flames, the apple tree rather humanely used the burning branches as weapons.

They directly struck with flames at the Black Dragons and Red Dragons.

It was at this time that the Ghost Dragons also flew over.

Although the Black Dragons and Red Dragons had been on missions to improve themselves continuously, the experience required for leveling up was substantial; now only half of the Red Dragons reached Level 8, and only about a third of the Black Dragons reached Level 9.

They were struck by the apple tree because their strength had not reached a relatively high level, and various attributes had not been sufficiently improved yet.

The situation was different for those Ghost Dragons; once past Level 10, their attributes improved considerably, among other things.

Seeing the apple tree like this, the Ghost Dragons promptly switched targets, initiating an attack directly at the apple tree before the Celestial Destiny Tree Man was defeated.

The Ghost Dragons were unaware that their actions inadvertently cut off the Celestial Destiny Tree Man’s retreat.

The Celestial Destiny Tree Man’s abilities actually come from three parts, with the one originally standing on the Celestial Destiny Stone representing combat will.

The Celestial Destiny Stone represents combat power, while the apple tree behind provides sufficient defense power and life force to the Celestial Destiny Tree Man.

In other words, as long as the battle took place under the apple tree, the Celestial Destiny Tree Man was difficult to kill.

Therefore, Commander Lin’s subordinates’ attacks were only half-effective; the rest didn’t affect the Celestial Destiny Tree Man.

But now, the dragon breath of the Black Dragons and Red Dragons disrupted the apple tree’s support to the Celestial Destiny Tree Man.

The Ghost Dragons rushing up this time dealt the final blow to the apple tree.

Most of these Ghost Dragons were Earth Vein Ghost Dragons; they had abilities to inflict rust or aging curses.

Rust can reduce the enemy’s defense power, while aging can reduce the enemy’s life force.

With both abilities unleashed, they directly overwhelmed the apple tree, which was intelligent enough to decisively destroy its branches, letting the still flaming branches fly up to attack the approaching Ghost Dragons.

However, the apple tree’s thoughts were too naive.

In the apple tree’s mind, if it could knock down Black Dragons, it should have no problem with some Ghost Dragons.

Yet it didn’t anticipate that the Ghost Dragons’ strength far exceeded that of the Black Dragons.

Branches severed from the trunk couldn’t catch up with the Ghost Dragons and were instead led to collide in the sky.

Finally, the shade near this half of the apple tree was burned away.

Having lost the support of the apple tree, the Celestial Destiny Tree Man also lost its proper defense power and extraordinary life force.

Additionally, the Tree Man’s movement speed was much slower than that of regular humans.

Thus, Commander Lin seized this opportunity, letting his subordinates pour all their attacks on the Celestial Destiny Tree Man.

The Celestial Destiny Tree Man tried to counterattack but was blocked by several elite undead who had already attacked him.

At this moment, the Celestial Destiny Tree Man finally remembered the dagger in his hand. He raised his arm with the dagger, intending to strike.

But just then, Commander Lin, who had been watching this side closely, decisively waved his hand, and a Skeleton Shooter shot an arrow at that arm.

As this Skeleton Shooter released the arrow, everyone could see a flash of golden light.

The arm holding the dagger of the Celestial Destiny Tree Man exploded on the spot, and the small dagger fell to the ground before it could be thrown.

Subsequently, other elite undead attacked from all directions, hacking at the legs and hitting the face, launching the final assault on the Celestial Destiny Tree Man from different positions.

Also charging forward was Gu Xi’s Bone Armor Centipede.

It happened to catch the right moment, as the Celestial Destiny Tree Man had no time to pay attention to it.

Thus, the Bone Armor Centipede seized an opportunity and climbed up the Celestial Destiny Tree Man’s back, biting down heavily.

With that bite, the Bone Armor Centipede tore open a piece of the Celestial Destiny Tree Man’s skin and then, with force, ripped off a large portion of the Tree Man’s bark.

The Celestial Destiny Tree Man did not expect such an attack could occur; he spun the Long Spear in his hand, aiming at the Bone Armor Centipede behind him.

But at that moment, an elite skeleton wielding Sword and Shield leaped forward, thrusting his Longsword into the Celestial Destiny Tree Man’s abdomen, slicing downward with force.

This greatly reduced the Celestial Destiny Tree Man’s life force, rendering him powerless to attack the Bone Armor Centipede.

At that point, other undead rushed in from all directions, pushing the Celestial Destiny Tree Man down, and their weapons continued cutting into the Tree Man.
