Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 841: Chapter 839: The Gates of the Netherworld

Gu Xi sent the Death Incarnation over, not for Gatekeeper Kaisa.

It was simply Gatekeeper Kaisa’s words that provoked Gu Xi.

The moment Death Incarnation-Titan landed at the gates, the ground began to transform into the Netherworld.

At the same time, the Netherworld Dragon Robe Carrier headed straight for the gates, ignoring the cultists pouring out from within.

Those cultists were quite displeased seeing the Netherworld Dragon Robe Carrier daring to approach alone.

This pitch-black object, without any level, jumping around in front of them, it’s courting death.

So, before the Netherworld Dragon Robe reached the gate, a large number of cultists rushed towards it, ready to stab their daggers into it.

But they didn’t consider that the Netherworld Dragon Robe wasn’t alone.

The Death Incarnation - Bone Dragon that delivered the Netherworld Dragon Robe was still there.

Seeing the cultists trying to cut open the Netherworld Dragon Robe with daggers, the Death Incarnation - Bone Dragon opened its mouth, spraying towards the position of the Netherworld Dragon Robe Carrier.

Under the effect of the Death Dragon Breath, the cultists surrounding it were killed on the spot.

And at that moment, the Ghost Realm Battlefield that followed Gu Xi arrived.

A large number of ghostly entities surged from the body of Death Incarnation - Bone Dragon, grabbing the corpses of cultists and flying upwards, quickly merging into the body of Death Incarnation - Bone Dragon.

Under the green effect of the Death Incarnation, the Netherworld Dragon Robe Carrier reached the gates, placing his hand on it.

”Command!”

Without seeing the Netherworld Dragon Robe Carrier speak, a voice echoed.

Then, the color of the gate guarded by Gatekeeper Kaisa changed; it was originally in the style of Westminster Cathedral.

But now, the theme shifted, and numerous skeleton decorations appeared on the gate.

Clearly, the gate had transformed into the entrance to the Netherworld, just as Gatekeeper Kaisa boasted.

At this point, Gatekeeper Kaisa, who prepared to unleash his big move, sensed something amiss.

Turning around quickly, he noticed the gate seemingly starting to close slowly.

Due to his confidence, Gatekeeper Kaisa did not care about the changes on the gate’s appearance; in his eyes, any door could be opened by him.

So Gatekeeper Kaisa turned around and pointed at the transformed gate.

The gate, which was about to close slowly, began to open more upon his command.

But as the gate opened, Gatekeeper Kaisa sensed something off.

The aura emanating from the gate wasn’t right.

However, with Gatekeeper Kaisa’s mentality, he couldn’t understand what was wrong.

He chose not to take this situation seriously, continuing his actions to open the gate.

Watching Gatekeeper Kaisa’s reaction, Gu Xi, far away at the Soul Summoning Tower, laughed disdainfully.

”Trash! Bone Titan, Ghost Dragon, prepare to engage in battle.”

Gu Xi had seen through Gatekeeper Kaisa’s essence.

He was someone with power but lacked the corresponding ability.

He didn’t know what he could or couldn’t do.

Gu Xi initially thought he was a powerful BOSS.

Unexpectedly, he turned out to be like this.

Had Gu Xi known earlier, he would’ve let this guy say whatever without revealing any of his strategies.

Sending in Bone Titan and Ghost Dragon directly would have sufficed.

But sending them now would work just as well.

As Gu Xi thought this, he waved towards the Netherworld Dragon Robe’s direction, ready to recall them.

But at this moment, the Netherworld Dragon Robe and Death Incarnation-Titan did something that left Gu Xi speechless.

Death Incarnation-Titan protected the Netherworld Dragon Robe as it entered the opened gate.

This shocked Gu Xi; how did they enter just like that?

Fortunately, through the Flame Light Six Paths Lamp, Gu Xi sensed that the Netherworld Dragon Robe Carrier hadn’t been dispersed and could be retrieved anytime, easing his mind somewhat.

As for the Death Incarnation, if it died, he could simply resummon it later.

Gu Xi never worried about the safety of Death Incarnations.

Thus, Gu Xi shifted his focus to Gatekeeper Kaisa.

At this point, Gu Xi’s Undead Corps were closing in on Gatekeeper Kaisa’s direction.

Meanwhile, the Ghost Dragon commanded by Gu Xi charged above Gatekeeper Kaisa.

It lunged towards Gatekeeper Kaisa.

As the Ghost Dragon descended, the Corpse Witches, freshly risen from the cultists’ corpses, simultaneously unleashed Poison Gas Bombs and Poison Cloud Technique at Gatekeeper Kaisa.

Gatekeeper Kaisa had not foreseen that so many attacks would target him.

Yet Gatekeeper Kaisa didn’t bother with them; besides his door-opening skills, he had other combat methods.

Otherwise, how could the proper fighting strategy be two against the cultists inside the door, three against him?

This indicated that Gatekeeper Kaisa’s power exceeded that of the cultists inside the gate.

Faced with the Ghost Dragon lunging at him, Gatekeeper Kaisa wasn’t concerned; in his mind, it was just an SS-level Ghost Dragon.

Before coming to Westminster Cathedral, they had studied the forces Britain could muster thoroughly.

Undead were present, but any higher tier undead were drawn away by powerful figures within, with those over Level 10 not appearing here.

So he had nothing to fear.

Yet Gatekeeper Kaisa hadn’t anticipated that Gu Xi defied conventional logic.

The approaching Ghost Dragon was not only over Level 10 but even reached Level 15.

With one lunge and bite, it tore off Gatekeeper Kaisa’s right hand.

Then the Corpse Witches’ Poison Gas Bombs and Poison Cloud Technique hit the spot where Gatekeeper Kaisa stood, enveloping the area in green toxic fumes.

Although Gatekeeper Kaisa was a BOSS, he was still human, and the gas harmed him.

Not to mention the Ghost Dragon’s bite had halved his life.

Now Gatekeeper Kaisa could only retreat rapidly, with thoughts racing to find a way to turn the tide.

In Gatekeeper Kaisa’s mind, there was still a chance for reversal.

Apart from opening doors to let cultists out, he could open a door to hide himself.

If he hid momentarily and his life recovered, he’d be strong once more.

As for the external battle, once the gate opened, numerous cultists would rush out, delaying long enough for Gatekeeper Kaisa to regain his strength and emerge.

In game terms, this was Gatekeeper Kaisa’s second-stage combat strategy.

If one momentarily neglected this, players might suffer a significant loss here.

Such was the case for Gatekeeper Kaisa now; he immediately headed towards the gate behind him.
