Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 997: Chapter 103: Evolution 3

Can’t remember which scientific guru once said, the end of science is theology.

At least in Gao Gong’s view, this statement is not entirely correct. To be more precise, it should be the end of biotechnology is theology.

Create the Carbon Throne, establish the Carbon-Based Pantheon, then undergo Genetic Ascension.

The prerequisites for these steps require a minimum of Tier 4, Tier 5, and Tier Six.

Theoretically, the ’Genetic Ascension’ option could be accomplished by an individual.

But in reality, this is utterly impossible because just creating the ’Carbon Throne’, with those countless millions and billions of mutated genes, is not feasible without the support of a Carbon-Based Civilization.

That’s why Gao Gong was so shocked to hear the news of the Supreme Being forming a Group Pantheon.

”Could it be that this Supreme Being has genetically colonized a Level 5 Civilization?”

Zombie Gao Gong shrugged, nearly shaking off the rotten flesh from his shoulder.

”Not sure. Based on this body’s memory, after leaving ’Alien Star’, the Supreme Being Hun Jie appeared on this planet and planted a gene fruit seed in my body, which is why this body could nurture wisdom.”

”So, it wasn’t like the ’Memory Mother’ causing trouble, but rather he continued the unfinished Biological Experiment from the Cyber Test Field.”

”Yes.”

This was not what Gao Gong imagined, but soon, his expression turned grim.

”So, I ate this body, and that Supreme Being is 100% going to come looking for trouble?”

”Of course, it’s a Carbon-Based fruit, you don’t just get it easily, what are you thinking, buddy.”

Gao Gong initially thought this ”Zombie 0” was a means for the Supreme Being to fight the Ancient Mechanical Civilization. Considering the Ancient Mechanical Civilization had already been informed, the Supreme Being would surely want to distance himself, at least not give the ancient Mechanical Body a chance to trace back. Hence, Gao Gong was happily suppressing it.

But if this had nothing to do with the Ancient Mechanical Civilization, and was merely an experiment by the Supreme Being on this planet, it means he has to personally face this mysterious Supreme Being.

”Being able to create a Carbon-Based Pantheon means at least Tier 5.”

”Check how many fruits they have, more than 10 fruits and basically at a Tier Six level.”

”Tier Six huh...”

Gao Gong rubs his eyebrows, his last-life’s body was also a Tier Six Supercluster Computer.

However, a Level Six Master of Civilization and a Level Six individual are two completely different levels.

”What are you worried about, don’t you still have tiger skin?”

Zombie Gao Gong patted the space window, this was a Star Destroyer personally gifted by the Purple Giant Star. It’s hard to say if they dare directly deal with the Ancient Mechanical Civilization’s spaceship at this sensitive time.

Thinking of this, Gao Gong calmed down. No need to scare himself, if they really fight, who wins or loses is hard to say.

”But since it’s Carbon-Based fruit, why haven’t you mastered any Physical Laws at all, you’re kind of useless,” Gao Gong teased his clone.

Compared to the late stage of the Mechanical Civilization which can create various Destruction-level weapons, in this regard, a fully developed Carbon-Based Civilization is actually not weak either, its reliance is ’Carbon-Based Fruit’.

Advanced gene evolution at its extreme can simulate Cosmic Laws, incorporating changes in Cosmic Laws into the evolutionary system, which is the ’Carbon-Based Fruit’.

Every ’Carbon-Based Fruit’ is a Physical Law, it could be Newton’s Three Laws of Motion or the Laws of Thermodynamics.

Although limited by the species’ cap, its applicable range is not the whole cosmos, but the effects are fearsome enough.

For example, slightly modifying the ’Gravitational Constant’ can easily split a planet, and mastering ’Angular Momentum’ could even allow for the artificial creation of a black hole.

Compared to these domineering Fruit abilities, this zombie fruit’s abilities are relatively useless.

”Jeez, what are you dreaming about, if it were a complete fruit, would it be this easy for you to pick? According to my body’s estimation, at least wait for tens of billions of zombies on this planet to all transform into Human Form before further progressing, breaking the limit of Human Body Transformation, but even then, the success rate is not high, only up to twenty percent.”

”Looks like I’ve indeed come early.”

But coming early has its benefits too, come late the Carbon-Based Fruit would have been picked, whereas coming at just the right time gets you directly facing the Supreme Being that organized the Group Pantheon.

It actually turns out just right now.

And if not measured by ’Carbon-Based Fruit’ standards, the basic performance of this zombie body is extremely formidable.

After simple sensing, biological energy reached 500 million, equivalent to 5 points of planet energy, which has surpassed planet species, rising to the level of space species.

What is more curious is that it has no fixed form, so it can transform into any form, embed into any combat system, could be a spear, or a shield, or even armor, skin, internal organs.

Its pure combat power has reached the level of a Cosmic Treasure.

This is still its shortest plank.

As a biological experiment body, its truly powerful aspect lies in its ’biological experiment’ capability.

It can apply to any form of biological experiment, whether increasing the transformation rate or lowering the transformation rate.

Thinking of this, Gao Gong suddenly had a thought, placing his hand on the zombie’s chest.

”Hey, what are you doing, touching my chest~”

Gao Gong rolled his eyes, with a thought, countless blood lines shot into the other’s body, some from internal organs like the Digestive System, Endocrine System, some even pierced from the bones, mastering hundreds of Advanced Radiation Bloodlines, Gao Gong himself actually also has the ability to transform.

Two different species forms connected together.

With a thought, Gao Gong’s personal system’s 230% Biological Transformation Rate quickly began to rise, 231%, 232%, 233%...

The Human Body Transformation Limit at Level 60 is 300%.

With the help of ’Zombie 0’s’ Special Ability, without any Biological Plugins, Gao Gong’s human body system got filled quickly.

Achieved a perfect 300%.

[Your Professional Level reaches Level 60 max]

[Your Human Body Transformation Rate Biological/Mechanical meets the job change requirements]

[Implanted Tier 3 Equipment *6, meets job change requirement 2]

[Proceed with job change?]

But before Gao Gong could confirm, the system panel brushed out a new prompt.

[Alliance Level insufficient, cannot proceed with job change]

”As expected...”

Gao Gong sighed.

This is also why players generally feel the game becomes unplayable by mid-game.

Level and equipment, those can be upgraded.

But alliance, that’s really impossible.

Without Tier 3 Civilization Technology, cannot switch to Tier 3 Profession.

Tier 3 is still okay, once breaking Tier 3 and entering the realm of Ascension Civilization, outsiders wouldn’t be allowed to join, unless achieving unimaginable merits.

With no way forward, players can only choose to let go and contribute to the terrifying cosmos endeavors.

Thankfully in this life, besides a player panel, Gao Gong also has an alliance panel.

’Starship Engineering’, ’Advanced Mechanical Science’

Seeing these two already illuminated Professional Knowledge Chains, Gao Gong can be sure that with just one more, he can fulfill all ’Infrastructure Blueprints’ for a Tier 3 Civilization Influence.

And as long as one planet completes Tier 3 transformation, his job change will be without issue.

For this point, Gao Gong actually had prepared mentally.

Instead, it’s the ’Transformation Space’ ’Storage’ that surprises him.

This means Human Body Transformation Rate no longer becomes an upgrade obstacle for him.

He can completely store ’Transformation Rate’, and after job change, implant higher-level plugin equipment.
