Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 961: Chapter 67: Resurrection Quota

Similar to Tier 3 Civilization Architecture, Tier 4 Ascension Architecture also has various modules. But unlike them, these modules are not like assembly parts; they’re part of the ’Ancestral Hall’.

Moreover, these functional modules are not fully described by the system.

’Does this mean that the system panel also has its limitations, unable to recognize things related to high-tier, no, Ascension Power?’

A peculiar thought suddenly popped into Gao Gong’s mind.

Fortunately, as the ’premium coffin board’ of the Gao Family Ancestral Hall, after some thought, he managed to deduce the capabilities of these modules.

Tier 4 Storage Module: Tier 4 Electronic Shrine

Undoubtedly, this is the ’Resurrection System’ of the Ancestral Hall, a more advanced personality storage module than mere personality replication. Wherever you are, as long as you are linked to the spiritual tablet, it’s equivalent to possessing a second life, capable of complete resurrection from the Ancestral Hall, with consciousness transfer across light-years.

This kind of ’resurrection’ is even more formidable than the ’4th Celestial Calamity’ resurrection because it doesn’t lose experience!

Of course, it has its limits, namely the restriction in quantity. Gao Gong counted, and the Ancestral Hall has five tiers of incense tables, totaling 99 ’spiritual tablets’.

Meaning its upper limit is 99 people.

And they must be ’Gao Family members’.

The Ancestral Hall has its own identification system. For instance, if Gao Gong fills in ’Du Zhaodi’, it works because she’s his wife, but filling in ’Gao Yuanyuan’ wouldn’t, as she’s considered a foster sister.

’So, does this mean the resurrection quota cannot be used by players?’

’Not necessarily, bypassing this identity recognition is quite simple.’

Gao Gong immediately thought of several ways to bypass the system, like the simplest recognition of a godfather, believing players wouldn’t mind getting an extra faction boss dad.

Or, during biological transformation, implanting a trace of Gao Gong’s bloodline.

For Mechanical Transformation, using the same model and factory-produced mechanical bodies.

In any case, there are numerous methods, surely one will succeed.

And with this ’Tier 4 Electronic Shrine,’ at least Gao Gong doesn’t have to worry about the faction’s high-ranking members unexpectedly dying.

After all, once the war scale reaches ’Civilization Level,’ the probability of the faction’s high-ranking members being completely wiped out is quite high.

The only issue is perhaps having to deal with a bunch of ’godsons’ and ’goddaughters’.

Compared to the subtle headache of the ’Tier 4 Storage Module,’ the ’Tier 4 Soldier Module’ is much more straightforward.

It’s the source of the Xie Family’s ’Mechanical Zombies’.

Its usage method is quite special.

’Sacrifice’ the corpse of an advanced biological entity, transforming it into a same-tier ’Mechanical Zombie.’ In theory, the tier of this soldier species can reach Tier 4, which is the Ascension Tier.

Of course, with the Xie Family’s strength, they can’t capture Tier 4 corpses, because each Tier 4 corpse is intricately linked with Ascension Civilizations. Even searching all Interstellar Black Markets in the Robert Star System won’t yield a single Ascension Member’s body, considering there’s no Ascension Civilization in the Robert Star System.

Compared to these two modules, the next two, the programming module ’Ancestral Hall Local Area Network’ and the augmentation module ’Spirit Station,’ are not that significant.

’Ancestral Hall Local Area Network,’ similar to the ’Family Love Chat Group,’ features that not only living people can chat, but dead people can too. Once stored in the ancestral hall system, you essentially gain ’permanent membership.’

As for the ’Spirit Station,’ it has a certain probability of attracting information lives from the cosmos.

As for whether this probability is high, it likely isn’t, at least the Xie Family hasn’t realized the potential of the ’Spirit Station.’

What Gao Gong values most is the last module, the Ascension Module ’Virtual Ancestor Worship System.’

This module’s function is quite special because it involves ’Ascension Power,’ even though Gao Gong controls the Ancestral Hall, he doesn’t dare claim full comprehension.

He can only confirm that the boss template of mechanical zombies is closely related to it.

’Through the sacrificial offering of a life form with a boss template, the birthed mechanical zombie inherits the boss template.’

This can be confirmed.

The only uncertainty is whether this transformation can be used by players.

If it can, it essentially bypasses the player’s system limitation, allowing players to wield the power of the boss template.

There’s another uncertainty, which Gao Gong vaguely senses.

’Virtual Ancestor Worship System’ has some kind of enhancement effect on the Xie Family, no, should be the Patriarch of the Gao Family.

As for how to perform this ’ancestor worship,’ whether it’s offering incense and kowtowing or disco dancing gracefully, Gao Gong cannot ascertain.

Burning money for the dead?

Sending wreaths?

Setting off fireworks?

Is it from the biological side? Mechanical side? Or information side?

Even whether this function truly exists is uncertain.

At least when dealing with Patriarch Xie, Gao Gong didn’t perceive much power beyond that of other elders of the Xie Family.

’However, other functions of the Ancestral Hall can definitely be explored, like ’Collective Consciousness Ascension,’ or ’Virus Consciousness Conversion.’

’Can initiate five new research projects internally.’

’Three routes for ancestor worship,’ along with ’Collective Consciousness Ascension Project,’ ’Virus Conversion Project.’

Gao Gong plans to leave the latter two to Gao Yuanyuan for research.

If the research succeeds, his foster sister can also join the ’Gao Family spiritual tablet,’ which is equivalent to a second life.

Indeed, Gao Yuanyuan is very interested in becoming a ’Gao Family member.’

”Rest assured, brother, I’ll research earnestly and strive to produce results soon!”

Gao Gong pondered for a moment and said:

”Is she still asleep?”

Gao Yuanyuan now doesn’t shy away from mentioning Gox, even if she’s her second persona, the one filled with darkness and madness.

Gao Yuanyuan shook her head:

”After briefly waking up, she’s fallen back asleep.”

Gao Gong rubbed his chin, ”Why do you think that is?”

”I believe it relates to the ’Cyber Engine,’” Gao Yuanyuan replied honestly.

Being her second persona, Gao Yuanyuan is quite familiar with her.

The former ’Miss Cyberpedia,’ Eliza, nurtured her using the powerful crawler capabilities of search engines, feeding massive virus fragments and personality codes from Cyber Space to her, creating an artificial virus monster.

But after leaving the Mechanical Split Star, Cyber Space ceased to exist, naturally losing vast chaotic code products.

For Gao Yuanyuan, losing the network environment merely reduced her operational space, but for Gox, it was akin to losing her habitat.

”Unless in an ample network signal environment, awaken her thoroughly and let her complete a full feeding...”

Gao Yuanyuan said with some difficulty.

”Here, probably not feasible.”

Mechanical Serpent Constellation is also a planet, and the network signal is excellent, but to let Gox gorge herself, that would be a big issue—not only would it definitely offend the Collector, but even the major backers behind these black markets would likely pursue him.

Fortunately, after consuming ’Ascension Xie Family,’ Gox’s hunger level slightly eased, and there should be no short-term issues.

As long as Gao Yuanyuan completes the ’planet network’ construction, she could naturally create enough ’code food’ to feed her.

This is Gao Gong’s arrangement.

After all, the Punk Virus Family is also one of his trump cards.

Gao Gong’s gaze fell again on the system’s final prompt.

’Can deeply bind the ancestral hall system, obtain ’Ancestral Source Code’ (this operation consumes a large Mechanical Transformation Rate)’

Consume Mechanical Transformation Rate?

Great!

He’s been fretting over how to fill his Mechanical Body Transformation.
