Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 985: Chapter 91: Zombie Perpetual Motion Machine

Since more and more Cyber Test Field players were discovered, this group of ’alien visitors’ no longer pretended, quickly integrating into the planet with their unique 4th Celestial Calamity style.

The amount of intelligence sent back skyrocketed.

The reason was simple, the ’alien visitors’ found that instead of painstakingly collecting intelligence from various parts of the planet, it was better to spend a little money to buy it from the Immortal Energy Star players.

Things that can be solved with money, the 4th Celestial Calamity players naturally preferred not to run errands.

And the most valuable intelligence among them came from Baozi.

’Corpse King Hunter’, a unique reputation title on this planet, is an honor that can only be obtained by successfully slaying a Corpse King.

The substantial benefit that comes with this honor is the ability to build a city. After the Planet Host ’Alien Star’ left, all the safe cities were revoked, leaving the entire planet without a safe online point.

But it brings an opportunity with a classic setting in ancient online games, the ’City Building Order’.

Whoever completes the city building task becomes the true owner of the city, thus unlocking the treasure left by the ’Alien Star’ before leaving this planet.

Theoretically, if this ’City Lord’ is exceptionally talented, he could even unify the Immortal Energy Star, becoming the Dominator of this planet, thus starting the path of civilization construction.

Of course, this is just theoretical. At least in the last life, Gao Gong hadn’t heard of any player force in the Robert Star System being so impressive.

Compared to other intelligence, the unique ’Zombie Training Skill’ of the Immortal Energy Star truly opened Gao Gong’s eyes.

There’s such an operation!?

”Players strengthen basic attribute points by burning the Human Body System.”

”Zombies do the opposite, strengthening basic attributes by re-nurturing the Human Body System.”

”These two methods all involve Species Transformation!”

Generally speaking, in the Interstellar Society, most civilizations do not engage in Species Transformation because it involves complex ethical and social relationships and would 100% cause civil unrest. The worst result of chaos is the collapse of civil authority, causing civilization processes to regress rather than progress.

Once involved in Species Transformation, regardless of civilization type, there are reasons that cannot be avoided, such as a classic reason—being a precursor condition for Civilization Ascension.

The Ancient Mechanical Civilization, being a pure Level 7 Mechanical Civilization, could not take the Carbon-Based route, so what is the significance of creating this zombie-type Cyber Test Field?

At least Gao Gong saw one point—

”Humans consume the Human Body System to strengthen themselves, turning into zombies, but once fully transformed into zombies, they can regain a lot of attribute points by re-nurturing the Human Body System, strengthening a second time, and after returning to human form, zombifying again, continuously repeating... Isn’t this a Perpetual Motion Machine? An infinitely growing Zombie Perpetual Motion Machine?!”

This is so damn perverted!

From a theoretical standpoint, the research content of this Cyber Test Field on Immortal Energy Star is not inferior to the Mechanical Split Star.

Gao Gong somewhat understood why the planet’s technological content appeared low, with weapons and equipment lagging a version behind the Mechanical Split Star.

The mutual devouring of zombies and players, co-evolution, is best done by excluding various accidental factors.

If technological weapons are too advanced, it would lengthen the experimental process.

”Boss, this is the dissection result of the past two days.”

Dr. Yuu transmitted data to Gao Gong’s Biological Computer, page after page of images, and cell analysis sheets.

The conclusion was quite simple.

Starting from a Level 1 zombie, every 5 levels, a ’Human Body System’ will resurrect inside the zombie.

First is the Neural System, then the Digestive System, followed by the Circulatory System and Endocrine System, and after these so-called ’internal systems’ are processed, it’s the turn of the Respiratory System, Sports System, Reproductive System, and Urogenital System.

Hundreds of zombie dissections were conducted without exception in this order.

However, the data also showed that although the ’revival degree’ of each system continuously increased with the rising zombie level, even the Corpse King did not achieve 100% revival of a single system.

’So, the experiment failed?’ Gao Gong silently thought as he looked at the blue planet outside the space window.

”Boss, if there’s nothing else, I’ll head back,” Dr. Yuu couldn’t help but say when she saw that Gao Gong hadn’t moved for a while.

”Wait a moment,” Gao Gong returned to his senses, turned, and said, ”I’ve acquired some things from some of the planet’s natives, you should study them.”

Dr. Yuu met Gao Gong’s eyes, and then, a large amount of data was directly transmitted to her personal storage device.

Dragon and Snake Breathing Skill

Enelmos Double Snake Unsealing Technique

Celestial Flying Immortal

Kakarot Burst Seed Skill

Inch-Stop Divine Skill

Great Bell Skill

...

These are all ’Zombie Martial Arts’ developed by the ’Corpse King Hunter’.

This is also the most unique part of the planet’s combat power system, where players can develop various ’zombification’ methods, with higher zombification levels equating to stronger combat power.

Conversely, the higher the level of ’Corpse King Hunter’, the higher the zombification level of the developed ’Zombie Martial Arts’.

”These things are quite interesting,” Dr. Yuu said with a light exclamation after just a glance: ”It’s somewhat like the opposite of ’Carbon Fusion’, though I might need to study the underlying principle further.”

Gao Gong thought for a moment and found it to be true, except that ’Carbon Fusion’ is about constantly integrating the genes of advanced organisms for evolution, while ’Zombie Skill’ is about obtaining Power through special ’zombification’.

After Dr. Yuu left, Gao Gong contemplated again about how to attract these players.

They are different from the Mechanical Split Star players, without a shared ’plot experience’, and for them, he is an outside boss monster.

He can be sure the other party is willing to follow him since, as it seems currently, only he can lead them to ’advanced maps’.

However, how to prevent them from abandoning him in a short time could be a problem worth considering, as their ’growth’ seemingly does not need to match with the corresponding Technology Tree.

Instead, Gao Gong is very interested in the ’evolutionary system’ of these players, he may need their cooperation for research.

’That thing... seems to match them perfectly!’

Gao Gong suddenly thought of something and his eyes brightened.

’In any case, let’s find a place to try it first.’

He took out Baozi’s contact method.

...

At the Mountain City Ruins, the first wave of Corpse Tide was soon repelled.

Although large in number, based on other players’ city defense experience, high-level zombies do not participate in the first few waves of Corpse Tide.

This also means, as long as there are group attack weapons, the sheer number of corpses does not provide an advantage.

However, as the number of Corpse Tide increases, some high-level zombies such as Zombie Leader, Zombie Race Leader, and Corpse King will gradually participate.

These powerful zombies can only be blocked by ’Corpse King Hunter’.

This stage requires the intervention of sophisticated high-end weapons.

”The core of each Safe City is an Advanced Shelter, and every time a stage of the city-building task is completed, a portion of the shelter opens, containing the most advanced weapons of the planet...”

Rakish Knight explained to Baozi as they walked.

’Lord Bao’ and the upper echelons of the ’Mountain City Ruins’ finally reached the first phase of cooperation after several days of discussions.

’Lord Bao’ is providing a hundred sets of Defense Mecha in exchange for all the ’Zombie Martial Arts’ from the ’Corpse King Hunter’.

The second phase of cooperation involves exchanging various city defense equipment from Baozi for weapons from the Advanced Shelter.
