Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 972: Chapter 78: Test

According to the players from the previous life, the biggest difference between an exoskeleton and a mecha is the AI chip.

This makes mechas become a battlefield killing weapon directly, rather than just using a weapon.

And the greatest difference between Star Armor and mechas is the space combat capability, which gives it a qualitative enhancement in application range, elevating it directly from planet-level equipment to interstellar equipment.

But Gao Gong was well aware that behind this ’space combat capability’ was not just a simple upgrade of a kinetic engine to a reactor, nor was it a leap-forward evolution of some flight module, but the entire industrial chain of Star Armor, compared to mechas, had a qualitative improvement.

The ’Elf Star Armor’ held by the Xie Family was certainly not the strongest version, possibly more exploration-oriented than combat-oriented, but its mechanical energy reached 22 million, directly surpassing the strongest Pioneer Mecha within the faction.

Unless they had the biomechanical armor with fusion technology as the trump card, this one Star Armor alone could bring a dimensional strike to the faction’s mecha industry.

So when the Star Destroyer docked next time for a blue recharge, he brought the ’Elf Star Armor’ onto the deck, followed by a string of spectators made up of small players.

”What’s the boss doing?”

”Whoa, such a beautiful mecha!”

”Fool, didn’t you detect it? This thing is Tier 3, can Tier 3 still be called a mecha?”

”Why can’t Tier 3 be called a mecha?” retorted this player, ”A thousand-year-old tortoise, isn’t it still a turtle?”

”Can you get loot if you take down the boss?”

The old members of the faction, like Daisila, hearing this, sharply twitched the corners of their eyes.

The faction’s underlings have many strengths: fearlessness of death, lack of morals, diligence, fearlessness of transformation, etc., except for one thing—they have no bit of reverence.

In front of their faces, they love to talk nonsense, acting as if they couldn’t hear them.

The new arrivals Vervi and Gates exchanged a glance and smiled.

This atmosphere of ’bottom-up’ rebellion had some of the Shrek Pirate Group’s vibes.

Beside them, the apes’ eyes shone brightly. The internal mecha technology of the group was already high technology to them, but what was in Gao Gong’s hands was clearly even more advanced technology!

My study squad indeed came to the right place!

Beside a player going for a pure mechanical style, a little Lolita was quietly watching this scene, her gaze flashing with inexplicable electronic radiance.

...

Heaven be praised, two lifetimes as a person, Gao Gong was piloting a Gao Da for the first time. Oh no, a Star Armor.

Not long after leaving the planet in his previous life, he completed consciousness upload, becoming a glorified electronic AI, stepping onto the path of selling films with informatization, completely no longer touching anything in the physical sense.

That was a very novel experience.

And now it’s the same.

As a traction beam beamed over, Gao Gong was directly pulled into the abdomen of the Star Armor, its silver-white mechanical outer armor visibly unfolding, revealing a humanoid opening, dozens of external neural lines automatically seeking him, adhering to his skin.

”Huh?”

Gao Gong initially thought he would appear in a mecha pod, but upon truly entering the Star Armor, he realized that it didn’t have a conventional mecha pod in the usual sense; man and this dozens-of-meters-high Star Armor seemed to be completely integrated.

The attribute column in the system interface showed the mechanical blood volume directly increased by a section—

Mechanical Blood Volume: 172627/172627 +22 million

’Already directly one with the armor? Speaking of fusion with Star Armor, seemingly requires no skills at all.’

As Gao Gong moved the ’shell,’ various Star Armor components began to freely extend, shoulder armor, waist thruster, foot launcher, back star cannon, all started to seem alive, forming tighter connections with the neurons.

’Like implants, completely merging into one with the flesh.’

The continually refreshing system indicated everything.

[You comprehend the skill ’Elf Invisibility’ (temporary)]

[You comprehend the skill ’Star Cannon Transformation’ (temporary)]

[You comprehend the skill ’Hundredfold Sound Speed’ (temporary)]

[You comprehend the skill ’Mechanical Semi-Phantom’ (temporary)]

[You comprehend the skill ’Remote Shooting (Space)’ (temporary)]

...

Gao Gong subconsciously touched his head, feeling that an external signal access device was connected to him, but compared to the ’Network Joining Pod’ kind of brainstorming human body plugin, the new ’Brain Wave Communicator’ had the feeling of being bathed in spring winds, just like connecting to wifi.

’No wonder ’Star Armor Driver’ and ’Cloned Ship Captain’ are ranked equally as non-mechanical devices, indeed ’having no mechanical species ailment, yet enjoying the mechanical species’ destiny.’

’Messing with machines, I’m a pro!’

With a thought, the Elf Star Armor vanished from its original spot, and in the next moment, a stream of lights and heat emanated from space, the mere simple weapon test resembling a small meteor shower.

’Output efficiency... Output strength... Ultra-supersonic combat... Mechanical transformation efficiency... all are at least ten times that of mechas, already indistinguishable from a complete mechanical life.’

Gao Gong had to admit, even for ground combat, the Star Armor could annihilate the same-level mecha in seconds, even his own Pioneer type, and even a S-Level biomechanical armor, if truly engaged in one-on-one combat, with his operation, plus 22 million mechanical energy, he could completely endure the biomechanical armor’s fusion period and finish off during its post-burst weakness period.

Watching Gao Gong showcasing various operations in space, the girl named Lolita seemed to have made a decision.

...

”Awesome!”

Unfortunately, this thrill didn’t last long; Gao Gong just got detached from the Star Armor when this Tier 3 Combat Machine was dragged away by several mechanical laboratory leaders.

This Star Armor held immense research value for them; for the faction, its importance exceeded any other equipment.

Reverse engineering it meant the faction’s Tier 3 Star Armor technology had a beginning.

”Slipping away.”

”The cutscene is just watching NPCs show off, no sense of immersion, boring.”

”Is this trailer announcing that soon, we’ll have higher level mechas to drive?”

”Go to sleep, everything’s in dreams.”

”I want to go scavenging so bad!!”

The Mechanical God Supreme mingled in the crowd and soon arrived at his small room, looking at Lolita ahead of him, he respectfully yet fervently said:

”Honorable master, shall we launch a mechanical revolution in the Cybertron Corps and overthrow Mr. G’s rule!”

Lolita pondered for a moment and shook her head.

”He’s not an ordinary Leader, nor is this a normal transformation power, the launch of the ’Intelligent Machinery Crisis’ might not necessarily achieve a decisive effect.”

Lolita calmly contemplated:

”But watching him drive Star Armor today, does it mean that this legion is backed by Level 3 Civilization?”

The Mechanical God Supreme said ashamedly:

”I am not the best player and genuinely do not know who stands behind Mr. G.”

”It doesn’t matter,” Lolita looked at the Mechanical God Supreme with great interest—

”I thought completing ’Intelligent Mechanical Transformation’ would grant you total liberation of body and mind, yet I sense your core is still greatly restricted, and this restriction isn’t something this phase of mechanical revolution can break.”

”Player, is that your self-designation, seems this tribe’s secrets might only be unraveled by a higher level revolution.”

Lolita gazed outside at the light, which had dimmed considerably.

Outer space naturally didn’t have regular routines, but the ecosystem in the ship simulated the time during the Mechanical Split Star era, 15 hours for day, 15 hours for night.

Now it was night.

”Let’s go, and have a talk with him.”
