Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 992: Chapter 98: Exploration 4

As an Immortal Energy Star whose industrial level is still at hand-grinding level, it is very shocking to see this level of mechanical species at first glance. The mechanical shell dozens of meters high is filled with a kind of life aesthetics that machines do not have. The streamlined body, the roar of the reactor, and the Tier 3 Transformation Modules, as big as millstones, as small as mesons, with each ’inhale and exhale’, the spark energy pulsates, seemingly able to annihilate their flesh bodies.

”Tier 3 Super Soldier Species!!”

Rakish Knight licked his upper lip, a trace of fear flashed across his expression, yet there was also a hint of greed.

If this level of boss could be blown up, surely it would be a massive explosion.

Jia Hei’s attention was focused on the mechanical shell, with a large number of activated neural networks crawling in and out of the Cybertron Alloy. Following the neural network, a large amount of zombie flesh was secreted, almost wrapping half of the mechanical body, and from the muscles, skeletons squeezed out, with bone fragments inserted into the alloy joints like a layer of human skin, giving people both an eerie and terrifying feeling.

”The revival level of the Neural System and Sports System has exceeded 50%,” Jia Hei suddenly said.

As a City Lord Player who has long dealt with zombies, they naturally know that the higher the zombie level, the higher the revival level of the Human Body System. Exceeding 50%, they can become human-like.

Therefore, many times, players from the Immortal Energy Star would complain that this is not a wasteland player fighting zombies, but rather a zombie-type celestial calamity desperately stopping zombies from transforming into humans in an oppressive story. In this story, all players play villain roles; only zombies strive to be human.

And now, this giant robot has entered the ’zombie revival’ plot.

”Damn it, this is a robot, how can robots become zombies? Can everything become zombies?” Birds and Fish couldn’t help but complain.

At the same time, with a ’ding’, the sound of task completion rang on the System Panel.

[Task First Ring, ’Spark Mechanism Lord Celestis’ found successfully, experience +10000, gain ’Temporary Mechanical Ancestral Hall Member Identity’]

But before these players started to check what exactly this ’Ancestral Hall Member’ is, the ’zombified mechanical’ opposite suddenly opened its eyes, with basketball-sized Electronic Eye surfaces squeezing out several blood streaks.

The zombified mechanical monster slowly got up. Although it staggered due to the impact of the ’Exoskeleton’, with its pervasive Advanced Species pressure, it oppressed several players so much they couldn’t breathe, and even more astonishing for the players, it almost had no difference with humans on the body surface after barely taking two steps. The only difference, probably, is its human form spans several dozen meters with a slightly pale skin.

”Neural System, Sports System... and Digestive System, all reached 100%!”

”Retreat, pull people!”

Several players can confirm that they are probably not opponents, so without hesitation, they retreated backward, and as high-end players, they naturally knew the safest way to retreat is to first bear a wave of opponent output, and two tough-skinned guys, Jia Hei firstly transformed into ’Brother Huyulu’, turned into a three-meter-high zombie muscle man, and instantly got smashed into pulp with a ’smack’.

Simultaneously, Rakish Knight leaped high, his giant axe smashed hard at the opponent’s joint, his wrist broke on the spot, and the axe head fractured, axe blade rebounded inserted into the wall, the Tier 2: Fine-grade zombie chopping axe’s durability instantly depleted, turned into scrap.

”Indeed, low-level maps have no future!”

A thought flashed by, and then in the next moment, Rakish Knight’s vision went black, and he logged offline on the spot.

The remaining two people were even more desperate to escape, Sea Wave transformed into Zombie Orochimaru, relied on serpentine-enhanced crawling speed, and braced the munching sound from behind, sped forward, with a strange thought popping out in his mind.

’Does this robot also eat meat? Truly zombified?!’

Besides the ’beep’ from the Task System, there was also the ’beep’ from the small Chat Group. As the exploration teams from different directions, location sharing is of course the operation, other City Lord Players were quickly approaching his direction.

But soon, a huge force suddenly came from the snake’s tail, pulling himself back.

Sea Wave almost didn’t hesitate, the corpse snake’s tail instantly split open, the whole shell divided into two, as a Transformation Rate of the Sports System, Endocrine System, Circulatory System all dropped below 50%, which also caused him to directly discard half of the shell if necessary. This is also the origin of his nickname ’Corpse Snake Sea Wave’.

’If not dead hurry transformation! @Sea Wave’

Transformation, transform into what?

Sea Wave’s mind flashed such a strange thought and suddenly remembered the previous task reward.

Gained ’Temporary Mechanical Ancestral Hall Member Identity’

Ancestral Hall? Isn’t that a place for storing dead bodies?

A sense of danger rose sharply behind his back, Sea Wave no longer hesitated, directly cast the temporary skill bestowed by the task, the next moment, rich radiance and body blackness simultaneously filled his vision and then he was sent flying out, vision turned chaotic, found himself already flown out of the factory ruins, on the icy snowfield, a large number of zombies like tide gathering.

...

For players, the most freakish part of the game ”Cyber Realm” is not its exaggerated difficulty, nor its resurrection speed, but there are some bugs in the game, players are completely helpless, once intruded, not even the 4th Celestial Calamity can survive.

Such bugs are also plenty, like virtual personality implanting, cyber psychosis, and parasitic viruses.

Once hit, the account is directly scrapped, and the strangest is that in this game, players can only establish one account.

Usually, in such a situation, when a player account is taken over, they can only gather people to kill themselves from the forum.

However, sometimes, in some special cases, even gathering people doesn’t help because the people you gather might also get hit, totally unable to handle the situation.

And the players who entered North Heaven for investigation are now in this situation.

Although they can’t log in, nor log out, this group trapped by the calamity can still chat water on the forum, thus a small self-rescue group called ’North Heaven Rights Protection Group’ was established.

’Heavens are blind, my whole set of Black Market divine equipment are gone just like this!!’

’Damn Mr. G, why is such level of task marked ’easy’!? ’

’No dog would mess with Mr. G, I’m gonna complain to the planner about this stupid npc!’

’Let’s all blow him up together?’

’Good idea, I wanted to support Mechanical Loli’s rise to power for a long time now, Loli Supreme!’

’Don’t Supreme yet, if you kill him, who’s gonna save us?’

’Hey guys, is it forum chat time now? Aren’t we discussing self-rescue? How did the topic drift far away?’

After a group of players deviated from the topic for a while, they finally returned to it again, starting to state their situations mutually.

Most of the players who got hit had accepted the task ’Rescue Lord Celestis’, but ended up getting dragged into troubled waters trying to save people. Being killed is fine, but the key is that they can’t even die, which is really frustrating.

According to those players dying the latest, there is an indescribable parasitic monster on Lord Celestis’s mechanical body, this monster controls their flesh when finishing them to the point of near death, controlled their Human Body System.

Putting them and Lord Celestis connected in life forms.

Most players screamed in despair.

Mechaphiles rejoiced.

The strangest is that once entered into connection state, all their Human Body Plugins will automatically eject, equipped skills automatically blacken.

These days, only ever seen players grinding equipment, never seen monsters grinding equipment.

Isn’t this snatching jobs!?

”But I wasn’t killed by Lord Celestis,” a player suddenly said weakly.

”Then who killed you?”

”Killing me seems to be Mr. G.”
