Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 995: Chapter 101: Evolution 1

In the players’ puzzled eyes, the parasitic monster suddenly expanded its form. The previously squeezed-out head, thigh, and buttocks shrank back once more, yet its size multiplied several times, suspending in mid-air like a cloud made of flesh.

’Oh damn, my butt!’

’My head!’

’Why can’t I get out!’

’Not only can’t I get out, but it seems we’re sharing Blood Volume!’

A prompt flashed across all players’ panels once again—

[You have been invaded by ’Mr. G’ Bloodline, entering ’Flesh Celestial King’ mode, 1%, 2%, 3%...]

’Whoa, it’s actually true? This monster really is the transformation from Mr. G’s big move?’

’Is Old G actually the mastermind behind this?’

’But this doesn’t make sense. If this parasitic entity is Old G’s transformation, why would it want to devour us, black out Lord Celestis, and kill us? Shouldn’t the boss of this planet be doing that?’

”Could it be Old G has a relationship with the zombie female boss?”

”Why a female boss, can’t it be a male?”

Regardless of how the players in the chat group diverged their thoughts, the City Lords of Immortal Energy Star in the game began to mutate.

Black coffins floated out from their bodies’ surfaces, and upon the appearance of each coffin, a Spiritual Tablet was displayed in the sky. Above the tablet, a special metal Spiritual Tablet slowly emerged.

The words ’Lord Celestis’ gradually appeared on the metal tablet.

’Corpse King’ sensed something was wrong. The next moment, the previously quiet zombie bosses suddenly madly pounced towards the Mechanical Body’s location.

However, Gao Gong had already prepared everything. He gently grasped with his hand, countless Biological Magnetic Field silk threads broke the ice and turned into cutting barriers. Any zombies that charged through the barrier were disassembled into corpse chunks within a few breaths.

For a moment, North Heaven seemed to have turned into a giant slaughterhouse.

”To suppress Lord Celestis, you must use your body’s Power, and this Power requires the changes in flesh. The more alive the body, the stronger your Power will be. What is better to possess than a living body?”

”So you did it on purpose?”

’Corpse King’ stared coldly at Gao Gong.

Apart from this male Corpse King, more and more Corpse Kings gathered from all over North Heaven. Suddenly, dark clouds rolled in, and all zombies on the planet paused, as a massive Biological Magnetic Field began to interfere with the Planet Magnetic Field.

Gao Gong seemed unaware of this, still smiling and saying:

”Coincidentally, the flesh you parasitized used my Biotechnology, and coincidentally, I can also transform.”

All Corpse Kings extended their palms, their palm’s direction towards the parasitic entity floating in mid-air, seemingly wanting to burst out.

However, an illusionary black Ancestral Hall suddenly appeared. Each coffin of reality transformed into a pillar of the hall, allowing it to hit left or right without any escape.

And a difficult-to-describe dangerous Power also poured into its body—through the mutually linked parasitic entity.

”If there is regularity in biological Evolution, then this regularity is its flaw.”

Gao Gong’s mind flashed with the dissection data Dr. Yuu provided.

”First, the Neural System—”

Countless fleshy Neural Lines bounced out from the surface of the parasitic entity, resembling bursts of yarn.

Apparently stimulated similarly, the heads of all Corpse Kings had neural fibers bulging, first crawling around like earthworms, then boring out of the skin.

”Then, the Digestive System.”

All Corpse Kings instinctively opened their mouths, from which a blood mist was sprayed.

”Circulation!”

The speed of blood mist doubled, and frost and snow covered the ground as blood columns surged up. At the ends of the blood columns, distorted human faces seemed to roar beneath the dark clouds.

”Endocrine,” ”Respiratory,” ”Movement,” ”Reproduction”...

With every change in the ’parasitic entity,’ the Corpse King’s body would split a part each time. With every split, the monster in the sky became clearer.

It was an indescribable infant, its head a thousand times its body size, umbilical cords connecting to each Corpse King.

Different Corpse Kings were responsible for different Life Systems.

The infant suddenly emitted a piercing scream impossible to describe, and where the sound wave reached, zombies worldwide exploded their heads at random, even Gao Gong experienced a buzzing in his head as if his brain matter was about to be vibrated out.

However, the next moment, the brain matter disappeared, replaced by transparent worms crawling within the skull interior, restoring brain function in just one breath.

”Body Bursting Skill?”

Inside the opponent’s sound wave, it seemed to contain energy that decomposed species Form on the spot.

Gao Gong’s fingers guided, directly drilling the parasitic entity into Lord Celestis’s Mechanical Body. The flesh voluntarily became a Mecha Pod, and the Mechanical Body’s sole exertion carried it into the air, with an inexplicable suction pulling the infant inside.

Then the players in the chat group saw their screens black out, and their connection was cut off.

At the same time, Gao Gong’s system prompt sounded—

[Level 4 Carbon-Based Corpse Monster (Incomplete version) captured, Primordial Supreme’s task completion +5%]

[Task Name: Origin of the Supreme]

Task Type: Civilization Reversion Task

Task Difficulty: Pseudo-Ascension Level

Task Brief 1: The Supreme Being spreads an ancient Virus named ’Primordial Virus,’ aiming to contaminate the Level 7 Civilization’s core ’Ancient Mechanism Country.’ An unexpected Variable causes this conspiracy to collapse like dominoes, under the illumination of Mechanical Light, all cosmic darkness escapes; nobody wishes to be the target of the wrath of the Mechanical Throne.

Task Brief 2: Although you are the first domino player, neither the Mechanical Throne nor your direct superior Star Suppression: Purple Giant Star expect you to further maintain good fortune, seeking out messages related to ’Primordial Virus’ through your channels. This task more resembles a rewarding type of exile; after all, loyal Fortune-touched subordinates, tainted with Carbon-Based treacheries, cannot enter the glorious Ancient Mechanism Country as the Mechanical Throne’s Legion dispatchers. But, who knows?

Task Completion: 5%

Task Reward: Unknown

[Reward: one Tier 4 Architecture Blueprint]

’It turns out to be a Tier 4 Corpse Monster, no wonder it was so troublesome.

Although it seemed handled very effortlessly, Gao Gong has certainty that if someone else were there without mastering ’Fusion Power,’ then there’d be only the choice of detonating the entire planet, obliterating all zombies to possibly force this big-headed corpse baby out. Maybe not even achievable as this Corpse Monster’s Power had Already Possessed players’ bodies, possibly even using their ’Calamity Attribute’ for various resurrections.

Letting it grow further has a massive possibility of expanding to the strength of a ’Civilization Celestial Calamity.’

And this, without a doubt, is another form of ’Memory Mother,’ only before it fully matured, the Planet Host on this planet had already withdrawn.

...

And just when Gao Gong suppressed the ’Tier 4 Corpse Monster,’ far away, dozens of light-years away, on a black planet, an unripe flesh tree suddenly dropped its fruit, disintegrating into fly ash come its fall, along with the disintegration of this tree.

There are only a dozen such trees on this entire planet.

”Failure of maturity for Carbon-Based Fruit No. 4.”

A voice sounded mysteriously.

The black planet’s surface started to ripple, a leathery face slowly emerging from an endless wave of darkness.

Its left eye area seemed lack a piece.

This piece was precisely where the ’flesh tree’ was located.

”With the fall of Supreme Beings Vil, Alma, and Star Fern, the Mechanical Calamity starts spreading towards the cosmic source.”

”Yet Robert Star System shouldn’t have remnants of Mechanical Calamity.”

A fruit on the flesh tree on the planet’s surface suddenly matured and dropped, morphing into a ten-meter tall bald and tattooed giant.

”What should I do, master?”

”Hercules, before the other side backtracks the ’Divinity DNA,’ fetch the fruit from the Robert Star System for me. My Carbon-Based Pantheon isn’t complete yet and can’t be exposed in the horizon of the Mechanical Calamity.”

”As you command, Supreme Being Hun Jie.”
