Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 994: Chapter 100: Exploration 6

Everyone thinks they’ve grasped the truth—

From the perspective of Players on Immortal Energy Star, this boss monster has entered Phase Two.

From Baozi and the others’ perspective, the Tier 3 Mechanical Body Lord Celestis is competing with this parasitic monster for control.

According to typical game plot development, if certain hidden conditions are met, Lord Celestis might break free from the Parasitic Beast and assist in battle, becoming a late-game ally for players.

From the perspective of trapped players, finally, they can leave, whether it’s online or offline; this broken plot finally has an ending.

After all, it’s a game; it couldn’t possibly keep them trapped forever, or that would be illegal.

...

In Gao Gong’s view, both Immortal Energy Star players and Mechanical Split Star players are pawns in the game, they are pieces in his and the ’Canned Monster’ on this planet’s game of chess.

Gao Gong’s foot stepped down, landing on the ice surface, the solid ice emitted a faint ’crack,’ followed by a subtle white mark beginning to appear.

Firstly one, then two, three, four, the white marks increased, eventually resembling a spider web, spreading from the center of the foot to cover all visible ice surfaces.

A powerful Biological Domain enveloped the wreckage of the Alien Factory.

Nowadays, Gao Gong can materialize the Biological Magnetic Field. With his thoughts, magnetic field lines rose from the ground, like a birdcage, tightly enveloping North Heaven.

The other end of the line stretched to the sky and pinned on the ice shell overhead, as Gao Gong slowly moved forward, emitting a ’zzz’ cutting sound.

”Still not coming out, then I’ll have to have a proper talk with you.”

Gao Gong said softly as he walked:

”A certain sage once mentioned, for every living being, there must be evolutionary potential. This raises the question, which came first: did life give birth to evolution, or did evolution give rise to life?”

”To put it simply, who in their right mind would believe it’s normal for billions of zombies to transform into human form? If it were a Cyber Experiment, that might be acceptable, but the Planet Host is gone; why is the experiment still continuing?”

”Who continued the experiment?”

”So I unleashed Lord Celestis. Its tier of Mechanical Body is virtually invincible on this planet; to deal with it, the mastermind must offer a hand.”

Gao Gong paused, glanced around, and chuckled:

”But the mastermind certainly won’t reveal themselves. They’ll only create coincidences in secret, causing Lord Celestis to fall, as if being parasitized by some monster.”

The surrounding zombies turned their heads one by one, silently staring at him, following his movement, their bloodshot pupils also moved, this scene appeared particularly strange.

”But I also understand that a conventional search likely won’t find your entity; if I act too much, your excellency might even create a fake monster for me to dispose of.”

”Like the parasite that consumed Lord Celestis, right.”

”In the eyes of a keen observer, your operations have many flaws. Take the simplest example; if this ’parasite’ is the mastermind, why don’t these zombies assist this big boss while fighting those City Lords? Because if the Corpse Tide appears, these players are 100% doomed, isn’t that right?”

Gao Gong paused, black light flashed in his eyes; in the next moment, a massive phantom of the Ancestral Hall appeared high above, emitting radiance, with virtual data streams continuously injecting into the body of every City Lord, accelerating zombification.

”But discovering your existence is just the first step; the issue is, how to get you out. That’s what’s most important.”

The Silk Thread behind Gao Gong advanced and continually cut, wherever it passed, zombies flopped like fish on a chopping board—either splitting head and tail, or blossoming belly; but bizarrely, no matter what tier a zombie was killed, not a single zombie charged at Gao Gong, as if their lives were completely not their own.

”If you have a physical entity, tracking it down would be simple, but if you’re some sort of generic consciousness monster, then I’m afraid I’d have to eradicate every zombie on this planet to compel you, and even that might not work, because the 4th Celestial Calamity’s undead possess an undying body; they don’t die, and you don’t perish, right?”

Gao Gong smiled cheerfully, saying: ”In the later stages, even members of Advanced Civilizations attempted to acquire this Power. I don’t know if they ultimately succeeded, but based on your performance now, they’ve likely succeeded.”

”Do you think I’ve guessed correctly?” ℴ

The Corpse King opposite no longer retained a zombie shell but turned into a yellow-skinned young man, looking dumbfoundedly at the other.

”Buddy, I’ve gotten to this point, pretending to be dead is meaningless now.”

The young man fell silent for a moment before finally speaking:

”I can hand over all biological data left behind by ’Alien Star’, in exchange for the destruction weapons in the atmosphere to completely leave this planet, would that work?”

”So you’re wary of the Star Destroyer; it seems your Biological Magnetic Field has reached the planetary coverage threshold, just one step away from breaking through to Space Creature tier.”

”Not just the planet, since I can sense the ’Star Destroyer’ you mentioned, naturally I can influence the humans within the ship. Do you want them to become part of me? That way, you’d lose them forever.”

”Is this a threat?”

”I call it ’balance deterrence’.”

”Seems you’ve become thoroughly humanized, even learning this term,” Gao Gong said softly, ”So the problem arises, since you can infect them, why not try infecting me? If you infect me, you could even use my shell to leave this planet; doesn’t that sound better than just causing trouble on one planet? Don’t tell me you haven’t considered this.”

”Then there’s one answer: you can perceive ’Fusion’, right? Based on the power system you’ve shown, it’s precisely the lower-tier ecology of ’Fusion’. If you attempt to handle me, you might get ’Fused’ by me, isn’t that so?”

The male Corpse King remained silent for a while before continuing:

”Destroying me won’t bring you any advantage; the cosmos contains species far beyond your ethical limits. Are you planning to wipe them out one by one?”

”Of course not; I’m neither a saint nor the opposite of a saint. If you’re willing to do a trade with me, I’ll gladly trade with you, except the things you’re offering aren’t what I want.”

”What do you want?”

”Information on the ’Supreme Being’.”

”I have no knowledge of the ’Supreme Being’; at least since I awoke, I’ve not encountered the person you’re talking about.”

”You’re lying!” Gao Gong coldly retorted, full of confidence.

As for how he knows, it’s naturally because upon completing ’Identify the Planet’s Mastermind’, the reward was 5% completion of ’Origin of the Supreme’.

So the sides are 100% connected.

Gao Gong likes to verbally spar with enemies, but doesn’t enjoy being verbally sparred against. As such, he no longer gave the other party a chance. The Biological Silk Thread behind him descended from the sky, punched into the Gao Family Ancestral Hall, and landed densely on the ’Parasite’. Lord Celestis seemed to have sensed something, roared loudly, maximized the engine Module power, and tore with its hands, forcibly ripping off its entire upper body from the outer wrapping flesh, then fiercely slammed its chest, ejecting the ’Spark Module’ upward toward the sky.

Without the Spark Module, the Mechanical Body’s Electronic Eye dimmed, collapsing on the spot.

”It’s over?”

”Mission complete?”

”The boss is dead?”

Witnessing this, the players exchanged awkward glances.
