Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 246: Chapter 225: Erroneous Evolution

Lu Li truly couldn’t believe it; his consciousness had genuinely left his physical body.

It was almost like consciousness projection...

No, it should be said that his consciousness was carried within the energy body of the ”consciousness projection.”

This state was extraordinarily mystical.

Lu Li could feel that the link between his physical body and the energy body of his consciousness was intact.

The energy sustaining the consciousness energy body was like strands of a bridge, continuously converging from his physical body.

These strands were akin to electrical wires transmitting energy.

Lu Li could easily discern that the essence of these ”wires” was spiritual power, and the energy flowing within them was energy rays.

The consumption was significantly larger than during normal use of consciousness projection.

”What on earth is happening?”

Lu Li felt a bit puzzled.

Although he couldn’t figure it out for now, he was eager to try this real ”primordial spirit departure” for its functionality.

He attempted to ”walk.”

As soon as the thought arose, an astonishing scene unfolded.

Lu Li felt as if he traversed through time and space, suddenly arriving in the corridor.

This wasn’t the most incredible part.

The most incredible part was that when he passed through the wall, the ”primordial spirit” seemed to automatically scan, imprinting the entire material composition of the wall into his consciousness.

For instance, the wall was made of bricks and cement mixed and laid.

Lu Li instantly understood how to assemble the wall, the selection, and the production process of the bricks and cement.

This understanding was not like learning but more like reading a textbook.

”Interesting...”

Lu Li instinctively looked around.

He discovered that he didn’t need to use his eyes to see; he could sense everything within a radius of four or five kilometers.

In the master bedroom not far away, Liu Kexin seemed to have just fallen asleep, emitting soft snores.

In the other guest bedroom, Aunt Huang was snoring loudly enough to shake the heavens.

In the greenbelt near the east gate of the neighborhood, two stray cats, whose entry was unknown, were arching their backs at each other, seemingly on the brink of battle.

Further away, two or three cars were passing sporadically over the overpass.

All kinds of insects crawled over the soil, and waves of electromagnetic signals converged into his consciousness.

Such an enormous amount of information, even a computer may not be able to process it all.

Yet his ”primordial spirit” could receive it all without causing Lu Li any discomfort.

It was as if he was watching a holographic movie, becoming omniscient within a range of four or five kilometers.

That sense of complete control was deeply intoxicating.

Without hesitation, Lu Li thought and intruded into Liu Kexin’s bedroom.

Gazing at her peaceful sleeping face, he couldn’t help but smile.

Lu Li instinctively bent down to kiss her, but his touch passed through her cheek.

If it were just passing through her head, that wouldn’t be surprising.

The strange thing was, when the ”primordial spirit” passed through Liu Kexin’s head, it immediately displayed all her memories from the last four or five days.

Lu Li ”saw” Liu Kexin’s trajectory over the past four or five days.

Everything she saw and heard on her commute, every pattern and text on the documents she handled, were all clearly visible.

He could even ”hear” Liu Kexin sternly reprimanding Vox’s mid-level management personnel.

It was as if his ”perspective” had become hers in that instant.

However, it was limited to the ”first perspective” without feeling her emotions in any situation.

What surprised Lu Li was that Liu Kexin’s life was remarkably monotonous, commuting between company and home daily, occasionally visiting major clients.

”Mm, my woman is so obedient, indeed I’m the only man for her.”

Lu Li was very satisfied with Liu Kexin’s ”monotonous life.”

He didn’t linger there for long.

With another thought, he moved further away.

The first two moves were relatively short distances.

Lu Li hadn’t realized how he moved.

This time, he suddenly leaped four or five kilometers to Lion Mountain in the new district.

Because of the greater distance, he realized that he wasn’t ”moving” at all; it was more like his consciousness had directly transferred from one point to the current point.

It was akin to instant teleportation when he released a biological force field.

Lu Li had a vague understanding, ”I can probably project my ’primordial spirit’ as long as my spiritual power can encompass the area, disregarding time and space.”

He was very curious whether he could leave the coverage of spiritual power.

With this thought, Lu Li attempted to break through the four or five-kilometer limit.

Unfortunately, when he reached the edge of his spiritual power’s coverage, it was as if someone was grabbing his clothing from behind, preventing any further progress.

Furthermore, at the limit, the energy consumption suddenly increased drastically.

Perhaps due to the high energy consumption within his body, which hadn’t fully recovered.

Lu Li immediately felt as if his energy was depleting, his consciousness shattered, and was swept by spiritual power back into his physical body.

He fell back into sleep.

...

The next day, sunshine brushed his face.

Lu Li yawned as he woke up and couldn’t help but stretch long and hard.

”Hmm, I slept really well last night.”

He slowly opened his eyes, his mind still recalling the ”Primordial Spirit leaving the body” incident from last night.

He felt somewhat puzzled.

He’s on the path of physical evolution, so how could his consciousness leave the body?

As he was wondering this, the Little Golden Man slowly transmitted information to him.

After receiving this information, Lu Li immediately realized what had happened.

It turned out that he had ”evolved incorrectly” last night, causing the Little Golden Man to ”upgrade” prematurely.

And during this ”upgrade” process, he found that his physical body couldn’t sustain it.

Therefore, its ”program” became chaotic, and to save his life, it tried to forcibly separate his consciousness to survive as a pure energy entity.

But later, the energy was too scarce, so the Little Golden Man did not complete the ”upgrade”, and the physical body could still barely sustain it.

Thus, the evolution towards a pure energy entity was paused.

”Eh?” Lu Li was quite surprised and thought to himself: ”According to the information from the Little Golden Man, I could survive in this world as a pure energy entity, meaning the disintegration of the body wouldn’t affect my life or death, but the consciousness energy form is actually incorrect evolution?”

This information was very intriguing.

Lu Li suddenly recalled the method of yang spirit leaving the body described in the Dao Sutra, isn’t it just the energy form of consciousness?

Because the energy form of consciousness is an incorrect way of evolution.

The thing that can be confirmed now is that continually evolving the body is the right way.

He became curious, the body is always a material existence, and ultimately, matter must have a limit.

So, when the body reaches a limit where it cannot strengthen further, how will evolution proceed?

This was something Lu Li couldn’t figure out for now.

He didn’t waste much time thinking about it.

After last night’s incorrect evolution.

He finally understood one thing.

Growth hormones can indeed promote the evolution of the body.

But the ”virtue not matching the position” will lead to incorrect evolution.

Therefore, stimulating the evolution of the body with growth hormones is not advisable.

It’s not that it’s completely inadvisable, just that it shouldn’t stimulate the secretion of too much growth hormone like last night.

It can be appropriately stimulated to secrete more than usual, but not to the point where the Little Golden Man’s ”program errors”.

In this way, evolution can be promoted without causing incorrect evolution.

”Although it was incorrect evolution, the ’Primordial Spirit leaving the body’ indeed gave me a new means.”

Lu Li recalled that all-seeing feeling of leaving the body, it was indeed a powerful means.

It not only can analyze everything but also seems to use any superpower related to Spiritual Power.

Unfortunately, the energy was not enough at the time, and I had no time to try before returning to the body.

He was pondering, if his energy light and Spiritual Power were strong enough, could he gather the ’Primordial Spirit’ into a real form in the future?

While he was thinking.

Knock, knock, knock, the door was knocked from outside.

Then, the pleasant voice of Liu Kexin sounded, ”Lu Li, are you awake?”

Lu Li stopped his contemplation and responded, ”Just woke up, come in first.”

As soon as the words fell.

With a ”click” sound.

The door was pushed open from outside.

Liu Kexin, wearing a white T-shirt, jeans, and sneakers, suddenly came into his sight.

She leaned against the door frame and asked, ”Are we still going to Shanghai to look at villas today? It’s almost ten o’clock.”

Lu Li half-lying, ”Yes, definitely. Come here first, let me hold you.”

After so much interaction, Liu Kexin wasn’t so shy anymore.

She rolled her eyes, ”Why are you so perverted all the time, hurry up and get up to wash and freshen up.”

She said it like that, but still slowly walked towards the bed.

Seeing her approach, Lu Li reached out and pulled her directly into an embrace, then leaned in for a kiss.

Liu Kexin quickly blocked with her hand, ”You haven’t brushed your teeth.”

Seeing her not cooperating, Lu Li didn’t force a kiss, just held her and said, ”I’ll get up and brush my teeth right away.”

Liu Kexin seemed to remember something, ”Hey, after I fell asleep last night, did you come to my room and kiss me?”

Lu Li was about to let go of her and get up to brush his teeth and wash his face.

Hearing her words, he paused and asked in confusion, ”Did you feel me coming to your room and kissing you last night?”

Liu Kexin slightly raised her head in his arms and said, ”It should have been a dream, but that feeling was very real, as if you really came in and kissed me.”

Oh!

It turns out that ”Primordial Spirit leaving the body” can affect reality.

Or maybe, if he wants, he can let others perceive it.

Lu Li did not admit it, releasing her with a playful smile, ”Maybe you like me so much that you’re dreaming of me.”

Liu Kexin got up and tidied her clothes, her mouth slightly curled, ”Narcissist, I wasn’t.”

Lu Li got out of bed, stepped into his slippers, and walked toward the bathroom, ”Hey, do you know where in Shanghai have good villas?”

”Tan Palace, Huazhou Junting, and Shimao Sheshan Manor are all good,” Liu Kexin added, ”But they’re very expensive, some cost over a hundred million for one set.”

Expensive?

If it’s not expensive, I won’t buy it!

Lu Li made up his mind, today he’s going to Shanghai and must pick a high-end luxurious villa to buy, so in the future, he and his parents can enjoy a luxurious lifestyle!
