Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 213: Chapter 196: Mind Control

Lu Li hurried out of the house to stop Qin Liang’s shouting.

After ”driving” Qin Liang away, he returned to his room.

Just now, hearing the sound of water in the bathroom, there was little doubt that Shen Xia was taking a shower.

Lu Li wasn’t sure whether Shen Xia had heard the noise or not.

If she really heard it, he would truly be taken as a pervert.

”Whatever, it’s not like I’m planning to do anything with her.”

Lu Li didn’t pay much attention to the matter, turning his focus to contemplating Spiritual Power.

He was very curious to know how strong his Spiritual Power had become after the third deep evolution.

After the second deep evolution, the intensity of Spiritual Power could be projected about 1.23 kilometers.

Initially, it could only move objects weighing about five kilograms.

Later, with enhancement, it could move objects weighing around ten kilograms.

During that time, Little Golden Man ”upgraded” once.

Now, the third deep evolution had been completed.

Lu Li speculated that his Spiritual Power must have grown significantly.

He immediately activated his Spiritual Power to its fullest.

He wanted to see how heavy an object it could move.

Lu Li first targeted the television not far away to see if it could be moved.

This was a fifty-five-inch Samsung TV.

Its weight should be between 17.5 kilograms and 20 kilograms.

If it was before Little Golden Man ”upgraded,” he certainly wouldn’t have been able to move it.

However, once Lu Li’s Spiritual Power locked onto the target, it moved immediately.

The television floated steadily in the air!

Lu Li was quite surprised.

”This TV weighs about twenty kilograms, and I’m moving it without even feeling strained?”

This suggested that his Spiritual Power was several times stronger than before.

Exactly how many times stronger was still unknown.

Lu Li put the TV back in its place and continued to look for test targets.

Eventually, he set his sights on the luxurious oak bed.

The weight of a single oak bed typically ranges from forty-five to sixty-eight kilograms.

A double bed is about sixty-eight to one hundred and thirteen kilograms.

The one before him was an extra-large double bed.

Its weight was somewhat heavier than a regular oak double bed.

Its weight could reach approximately one hundred and thirty-five kilograms.

Lu Li used his Spiritual Power to lock onto the oak bed, trying to see if it could be moved.

In the next moment, a feeling of strain emerged, the oak bed only trembled slightly, clearly unable to be moved.

Seeing this, Lu Li widened his eyes, somewhat amazed as he thought, ”Based on my previous Spiritual Power intensity, it would be impossible to make such a heavy object move at all, but now I can make a more than a hundred-kilogram oak bed tremble slightly?”

He couldn’t help but speculate boldly, ”My current Spiritual Power should reach forty or fifty kilograms; maybe I’ll test it in a while.”

There weren’t many suitable test subjects in the room.

Lu Li decided not to worry about it for the moment.

He continued to test how far his Spiritual Power could be projected.

With this in mind, he fully unleashed his Spiritual Power to spread in all directions.

The Spiritual Power spread out like a tidal wave, gradually covering a large area.

At this moment, Lu Li seemed to have activated ”Celestial Eye” and ”Celestial Ear,” able to sense everything within the range of his Spiritual Power, including images, sounds, smells, and so on.

For instance, in the bathroom, Shen Xia, who had just finished showering and was wrapped in a towel, was facing the mirror applying a facial mask.

The scent of lavender body wash wafted from her.

She was softly singing, ”Gently kissing, with eyes tightly closed, is it you, maybe, maybe not...”

Ah, it’s Liang Jingru’s ”Kiss”.

It must be said, it sounds quite pleasant.

Lu Li didn’t pay much attention to Shen Xia, focusing on perceiving the furthest range of his Spiritual Power.

He immediately saw his Spiritual Power limit stagnating about a kilometer outside the hotel where Zhang Guocheng and the others were staying.

”Judging by this, my Spiritual Power range should reach around four or five kilometers.”

This discovery made Lu Li secretly pleased.

Based on the distance, his Spiritual Power should have increased four or five times.

Thus, he could roughly estimate how heavy an object he could move, probably around forty or fifty kilograms.

”With such a growth in my Spiritual Power, the power unleashed by casting spells should be even stronger.”

Lu Li didn’t proceed with testing in this regard.

After all, this was a city.

Recklessly testing the power of spells could lead to very serious consequences.

As he was about to retract his Spiritual Power,

Lu Li suddenly thought of something, ”After the second deep evolution, Spiritual Power strengthened all my supernatural abilities. Now, with the third deep evolution, will it enhance the capabilities of things like Celestial Eye and microscopic vision?”

Without hesitation, he activated Celestial Eye to see if it had been enhanced.

Before the second deep evolution, his Celestial Eye could penetrate about sixteen centimeters of thickness.

Later, my spiritual power grew significantly, although I had never tried it.

To be honest, Lu Li really didn’t know how much thickness his Celestial Eye could penetrate these days.

The next moment, he found out.

Lu Li just watched as his Celestial Eye seemed to ignore thickness altogether, piercing through countless walls at once, revealing the curious postures of various guests in different rooms.

For instance, in the next room lived a young black woman, who was sitting on the sofa making a phone call.

Or, for example, through a dozen or so rooms, there was a middle-aged white couple in their forties, looking very agitated, having a quarrel.

Of course, there were also some people engaged in indescribable activities.

Lu Li did not care about what these people were doing and instead judged the penetrating distance of his Celestial Eye.

The thickness of the interior walls in the hotel was generally around thirty centimeters, while the exterior walls were fifty to eighty centimeters.

Lu Li calculated for a moment, his gaze pierced through twenty to thirty interior walls and ten to twenty exterior walls.

He mused, ”The thickness that my Celestial Eye can penetrate now should be around twenty meters.”

Having figured it out clearly.

He turned off the Celestial Eye.

He opened the Microscopic Eye.

Countless specks of light appeared in front of him, with molecules and atoms all clearly visible.

Not only that, Lu Li vaguely saw particles even smaller than atoms.

He examined closely, ”Can I clearly see protons and neutrons now? Even electrons seem to be somewhat discernible.”

Lu Li couldn’t help but blink, ”By this reasoning, I might have the preliminary ability to use spiritual power to condense nuclear reactions?”

He judged it should be possible, but he didn’t dare to actually try.

Otherwise, a real nuclear fission or the like would cause too much destruction to the city.

Lu Li touched his chin, thinking to himself, ”Seems like in the future, I could become Nuclear Explosion True Man!”

By the way.

Has the object-condensing function of the Microscopic Eye been enhanced?

He immediately tried, just like last time, to condense a diamond.

Under the particle agitation of the Microscopic Eye, a diamond, larger than the one given to Liu Kexin, gradually emerged before Lu Li.

This diamond was about fifty carats in size.

Even so, Lu Li didn’t feel too strained.

He grasped the diamond in his palm, ”Also, telepathy seems worth a try. Last time, after spiritual power upgraded, the Mind Reading Technique upgraded to telepathy; this time, will it upgrade to mind control?”

Lu Li was keen to know the answer.

But trying this skill requires someone’s cooperation.

He could actually try it directly without anyone’s consent.

Though doing so would be too disrespectful.

Lu Li wasn’t that kind of person.

He thought for a moment, opened the door, and called, ”Shen Xia, can you come over and help me with something?”

Shen Xia in the bathroom replied hurriedly, ”Okay, let me get dressed, wait a moment.”

Lu Li said ”Alright,” and then waited at the door for her.

Soon, Shen Xia walked in wearing a white nightgown.

She had just finished bathing, and her hair hadn’t been dried yet, wrapped with a towel on her head.

If a typical woman had just finished bathing, it might affect her ”looks,” as having no makeup would certainly make one look less beautiful.

Shen Xia was different. She hardly wore makeup, and now after bathing, she gave off a fresh, natural vibe, not only did her ”looks” not diminish, but she actually seemed more beautiful.

Shen Xia walked in wearing slippers and asked, ”What’s up?”

Lu Li blinked and said, ”I’ve been studying psychology lately and learned a mind-control technique. I want to find out if it’s effective, so I’m asking if you’re willing to help me try it out.”

Shen Xia hesitated slightly but finally showed a bright smile, ”Sure, what do you need me to do? Go ahead and instruct me.”

”You don’t need to do much.” Lu Li pointed to the edge of the bed, ”Just sit down, and I’ll try the mind-control technique on you to see if it works. If it does, tell me how it felt when I controlled you after you wake up, okay?”

”Sure.” Shen Xia casually sat on the edge of the bed and half-jokingly reminded, ”If you really can control my mind, you’re not allowed to do bad things.”

Lu Li chuckled, ”Listen to you, if I wanted to do something bad to you, would I need to wait until now?”

Shen Xia smiled sweetly, ”That’s exactly why I trust you.”

The feeling of being trusted is indeed wonderful.

Lu Li felt his current mindset somewhat aligned with Zhang Country people, also a bit concerned about others’ opinions.

He looked into Shen Xia’s eyes and said, ”I’m about to begin, keep your eyes wide open and look at me.”

Shen Xia nodded slightly and hummed a response.

Lu Li pretended to fiddle his hands in front of her, while in reality activating telepathy and secretly giving instructions to the Little Golden Man, aiming to control Shen Xia.

At this point, he really didn’t know if he could execute mind control.

Since the development of these original superpowers, whether they upgraded or not, the Little Golden Man wouldn’t convey the information.

Only when a new ability is developed, would it actively notify him.

Hopefully!

Lu Li was quite eager to acquire the mind-control ability.

While he was pondering, spiritual power amassed over Shen Xia’s entire body, spreading deeper.

Initially, Lu Li didn’t notice anything unusual.

But moments later, he saw Shen Xia’s expression turn less lively, seemingly becoming slightly dazed.

Simultaneously, Lu Li felt as if some special connection formed between him and Shen Xia.

As if, with just a mental command, he could make Shen Xia do whatever he wanted!
