Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 214: Chapter 197: Call Me Daddy

Did it really upgrade telepathy to mind control?

While Lu Li found it incredible, his mind became lively all of a sudden.

Now that Shen Xia was under his control, could he make her do some indescribable actions?

Alright.

He was just imagining.

Lu Li really didn’t have too many thoughts about Shen Xia, he just liked the unrestrained relationship they had.

To test the effects of mind control, he tried giving Shen Xia a ”command.”

Lu Li silently chanted in his heart, ”Stand up.”

Shen Xia, like a puppet on strings, slowly stood up.

Seeing the effect was good, Lu Li silently chanted a command again, ”Dance.”

This time, Shen Xia didn’t immediately start dancing; instead, she sent back a piece of information.

She said blankly, ”I don’t know how to dance.”

Uh...

Lu Li thought, could it be that mind control can’t make someone do something they don’t know how to do?

To verify if it’s true, he constructed an image of doing the moonwalk in his mind and implanted it into Shen Xia’s brain.

Immediately, Lu Li silently chanted again, ”Do the moonwalk, let me see.”

A miraculous scene occurred.

Shen Xia, wearing slippers, actually started doing the moonwalk in the room!

The most crucial part was that her moonwalking posture was almost identical to the one he implanted!

Lu Li was instantly stunned, ”So, mind control can make the controlled person do something they originally couldn’t?”

He wasn’t sure if that was the case, because earlier Shen Xia only gave feedback that she couldn’t dance, not whether she could do the moonwalk.

Thinking this, Lu Li lifted the mind control.

Then, Shen Xia’s gaze suddenly became clear.

She stood beside the TV, her expression somewhat bewildered, ”Wasn’t I sitting just now? How come I’m standing here now?”

As she spoke, Shen Xia looked surprised and said in an incredulous tone, ”Lu Li, can you really mind control people?”

Lu Li smiled and didn’t answer her question, but instead asked, ”By the way, can you do the moonwalk?”

”No.” Shen Xia shook her head, still curious, ”Did you really control me just now?”

Lu Li countered, ”Didn’t you feel you were being controlled?”

Shen Xia tilted her head slightly to recall, ”It was like I blinked, and then I was standing here, I didn’t feel anything special.”

Oh!

It turns out that the memory of mind control does not remain with the controlled person.

Lu Li couldn’t help but think mischievously that if he controlled a beautiful woman to do something unspeakable, he wouldn’t need to be responsible afterward because she wouldn’t remember a thing.

Well, he wouldn’t do that.

Because doing so would be pointless.

He might as well go to Macau for a spa.

Lu Li believed in consensual interactions in such matters.

For example, Julia Giannini, though affected by his high-level life pheromones, wasn’t really ”mindless,” deep down it was still her willingly.

So Lu Li didn’t mind this.

Of course, the life pheromones would still have quite an influence on people, and he wasn’t too fond of attracting women through this method.

Lu Li asked again, ”Really didn’t feel a thing?”

Shen Xia nodded undeniably, ”Really not a hint of reaction, if I hadn’t stood up, I might have doubted if you had tried to mind control me.”

Lu Li chuckled, ”Just now, I even had you do the moonwalk.”

Shen Xia’s curiosity grew, ”Really? I can’t moonwalk, and you could make me?”

Lu Li said, ”If you don’t believe me, we can try again, and I can record it.”

Having been controlled just now and not having experienced anything bad, Shen Xia’s trust in him was through the roof.

Shen Xia agreed without hesitation, ”Sure, let’s try again.”

Lu Li took out his phone and pointed it at her, ”I’m about to start mind control, are you ready?”

Shen Xia nodded, ”Ready.”

Lu Li pretended to wave his hand a few times, then initiated mind control.

Shen Xia instantly entered a controlled state.

Lu Li implanted an image of doing the moonwalk into her mind, and she began doing so again.

After recording, Lu Li intended to end the mind control.

Suddenly, a mischievous thought flashed through his mind, and he told Shen Xia, ”Say ’Daddy’.

Shen Xia said mechanically, ”Daddy.”

Pfft!

Lu Li almost burst out laughing.

But to be honest, being called ”Daddy” by her felt surprisingly good.

Lu Li felt a strange thrill, as if he had achieved unprecedented satisfaction.

He quickly ended the recording, and at the same time, turned off the mind control.

Regaining her awareness, Shen Xia immediately asked, ”Did you record it?”

Lu Li handed the phone to her, ”Look, see for yourself.”

Shen Xia leaned in and looked down at the phone screen.

Sure enough, she saw herself doing the moonwalk on the screen.

Shen Xia seems to think a little differently from the average person.

Normally, people might feel terrified when they realize they’re being manipulated.

However, Shen Xia found it hilarious, ”Wow, you can really manipulate me psychologically and make me do things I can’t do? That’s amazing!”

Lu Li chuckled, ”Aren’t I impressive?”

Shen Xia was about to respond.

Just then, a voice suddenly came from her phone, ”Daddy.”

Shen Xia: ”...”

Lu Li sneaked a glance at Shen Xia’s face, which was very close to his.

He saw her face turn red all the way to her neck.

Shen Xia obviously knew this was the result of Lu Li’s psychological manipulation, and she said with irritation, ”You have such a peculiar sense of humor, do you really like it when others call you Daddy?”

Seeing that she wasn’t angry, Lu Li laughed, ”Just testing, you aren’t mad, right?”

”No, I actually found it quite interesting,” Shen Xia added, ”But from now on, don’t use psychological manipulation on me, and delete this video. I don’t want anyone to know I called you Daddy. Humph, you’re so bad.”

Unable to hold back his laughter, Lu Li said, ”Alright, alright, I’ll delete it.”

He deleted the video right in front of Shen Xia.

Shen Xia stretched lazily, ”Anything else?”

Lu Li waved his hand, ”Nothing else.”

Shen Xia yawned, ”Then I’ll go to bed.”

Lu Li gave a sound of acknowledgment, ”Go ahead, you need to get up early tomorrow.”

Shen Xia said ”Good night” and then left, closing the door behind her.

Lu Li was very pleased that mind reading had upgraded to mind control.

...

The next day, Shen Xia left.

Lu Li, on the other hand, went with Qin Liang to participate in Nathan’s hot dog challenge.

Unsurprisingly, despite trying to control his food intake, Lu Li still broke the record by eating a hundred hot dogs in ten minutes, winning the championship.

During the event, a reporter Qin Liang brought filmed the entire scene.

After receiving the prize money, due to time constraints, Lu Li immediately contacted Zhang Guocheng, then said goodbye to Qin Liang and took a flight directly to California.

Around seven-thirty in the evening.

Lu Li and his companions arrived in Los Angeles.

Sofitel Beverly Hills.

In the room, Lu Li was discussing the deep plan for this operation with Zhang Guocheng, Xiaolin, and Wang Yu.

Zhang Guocheng said seriously, ”Mr. Lu, we are now in Southern California, and should be very close to the target. The only thing is we don’t know where they are hiding. We need you to use Julia Giannini as a breakthrough to find out the situation.”

Lu Li nodded slightly, ”I understand, now tell me what to do next. Let’s try to wrap this up quickly; I have a lot to deal with back home.”

Zhang Guocheng said, ”What you need to do is simple. Find a way to get Julia Giannini to introduce you to those in the top ranks of California Eighteenth Street. Then you’ll have the chance to contact the target. From what I know, those high-ups frequently organize underground fight matches to open bets and make money. I’m reliably informed there will be such a fight the day after tomorrow. Get Julia Giannini to take you to the match site.”

Lu Li said, ”Once I’m at the match site, if I see the target in person, I’ll inform you immediately, right?”

”Exactly.” Zhang Guocheng nodded, ”Do not take action within the city, as this is foreign territory. A conflict could have negative repercussions. You just need to approach the target and find out where they are currently hiding. We’ll track them afterward.”

Lu Li said, ”Alright, but I don’t know if Julia Giannini will take me to the site... hmm, I have an idea.”

With that, he ended his conversation with Zhang Guocheng, Xiaolin, and Wang Yu.

Lu Li took out his phone and dialed Julia Giannini’s number.

Ring, ring, ring.

It didn’t take many rings before the call was answered.

A cold voice came from the other side of the line, ”Who is this?”

Lu Li said, ”It’s me, Lu Li.”

Julia Giannini’s attitude was noticeably cooler than before, and there was a tinge of disgust in her tone, ”Oh, it’s you. What do you want?”

Hearing this, Lu Li frowned.

He knew why Julia Giannini’s attitude had changed so drastically.

The reason was simple: at this moment, Julia Giannini was not under the influence of his superior life pheromones and was in a state of absolute rationality.

Julia Giannini is genuinely a lesbian, and in this state of absolute rationality, it’s natural for her to be repulsed by men.

Lu Li tried to communicate, ”Didn’t we agree to meet? I’m in Los Angeles now. Can you come out to see me?”

Julia Giannini coldly replied, ”I’m busy.”

With that, there was a click as she hung up the phone.

Lu Li’s frown deepened. If he couldn’t even meet her, wouldn’t that mean the mission couldn’t proceed?

Zhang Guocheng, Xiaolin, and Wang Yu, who were nearby, also seemed to realize what had happened, and their expressions turned grim.

It wasn’t that they had a problem with Lu Li, but they hadn’t expected Julia Giannini’s attitude to change so rapidly.

Lu Li suddenly said, ”Quickly find out where Julia Giannini is for me. As long as I see her, I can still act according to the plan!”

Changes her attitude just because she can’t see me?

Lu Li wasn’t bothered; he’d just approach her himself, continuing to use the superior life pheromones to captivate her. He refused to believe he couldn’t subdue this woman.

And it was precisely because of Julia Giannini’s change in attitude.

That a trace of determination arose in Lu Li.

So you don’t even want to see me?

Once I’ve got you completely under control, let’s see how you’ll beg for me then!

Lu Li had made up his mind; he wanted Julia Giannini to call him Daddy just like Shen Xia did.

The difference is, Shen Xia called him that because of mind control.

Lu Li wanted Julia Giannini to willingly call him Daddy!
