Gene Unlocking: I Evolve Every Day

Chapter 237: Chapter 217: Super-Terrifying New Pheromone

In the bedroom.

Lu Li unhesitatingly burrowed into the bed.

Liu Kexin immediately pushed him away, ”Your jeans are rubbing my skin painfully.”

Lu Li shamelessly suggested, ”Should I take them off?”

”No! No no no!” Liu Kexin didn’t dare to push him anymore.

She could only move a bit inward, making more room.

Lu Li hadn’t given up, blinking, ”Can you sleep in a dress? Want to change into pajamas?”

Liu Kexin laughed in exasperation, ”I can see it now, you’re up to no good.”

That was indeed what Lu Li was thinking, but he certainly couldn’t admit it out loud.

He feigned innocence, ”I’m just trying to make sure you can sleep more comfortably.”

”I don’t believe you,” Liu Kexin wasn’t fooled, ”I’ll sleep in my dress.”

Lu Li reached out to hug her, ”Alright, I’ll just hold you while we sleep then.”

Liu Kexin pushed him away again, ”No, no.”

Lu Li, at a loss, said, ”I’m not doing anything bad, just holding you, and you won’t let me? You’re too stingy; I might as well go back to my room.”

”It’s not that,” Liu Kexin seemed to think of something, her face turning red, as she bashfully said, ”I’ll tell you something, you... you can’t make fun of me.”

She used to be quite tough with herself.

Now that their relationship was confirmed, her tone had noticeably softened.

Lu Li quite liked her like this, and was also a bit curious, asking, ”What is it? Go ahead and say, I promise I won’t make fun.”

Liu Kexin’s face grew redder, and she seemed at a loss for words, ”I... when I got close to you today... um, you know... anyway... how should I say this...”

Her speech was fragmented, and Lu Li truly didn’t understand what she meant.

He guessed it was something hard to confess, so he didn’t press her, letting Liu Kexin organize her words.

After a while, Liu Kexin finally hesitantly spoke, ”I... I feel an urge when I’m with you.”

Her voice was quieter than a mosquito’s buzz, and as soon as she finished, she buried her head in the blanket, looking quite embarrassed.

Lu Li finally understood what she was trying to convey.

He couldn’t help but feel surprised; he didn’t actively release advanced life pheromones to Liu Kexin, so why did she still feel an urge?

Could it be...

Lu Li contemplated a possibility.

He silently mused, ”Could I release more than one kind of life pheromone, and even if I retracted the advanced life pheromone and only released the normal level, there might still be a special life pheromone affecting Liu Kexin?”

Lu Li wasn’t well-versed in life pheromones, instinctively pulling out his phone to search online.

Liu Kexin seemed to sense his movements, her delicate face peeking out from the bedding, looking puzzled.

She asked, a bit disappointed and perplexed, ”Why are you suddenly searching for ’pheromone’ information out of the blue?”

Lu Li quickly glanced, then casually placed his phone on the bedside table, grinning cheekily, ”Nothing, I accidentally tapped on it.”

Liu Kexin asked nervously, ”You don’t think I’m wanton, do you?”

Lu Li beamed, ”Of course not, don’t overthink it.”

He had just glanced at a webpage and saw the detailed explanation about pheromones, roughly understanding the situation.

Pheromones are divided into several types.

For example, sex pheromones, aggregation pheromones, alarm pheromones, trail pheromones, and marking pheromones, etc.

In fact, some pheromones are absent in humans, like aggregation pheromones and alarm pheromones.

In humans, pheromones typically refer to pheromones categorized under trail pheromones.

Of course, humans also have sex pheromones.

According to scientific research, a normal male’s sex pheromone is androstenone, while a normal female’s is estratetraenol.

As per scientific findings, gays would not be receptive to the estratetraenol released by females, being only interested in androstenone.

Conversely, lesbians would only be receptive to estratetraenol.

Thus, under normal circumstances, neither gays nor lesbians can be easily converted through regular means.

If his analysis was correct, what he had been releasing to people was trail pheromones before his third deep evolution.

What are trail pheromones?

They are chemical substances that interact between same-species individuals.

They can influence behaviors, habits, and even development and physiological activities of each other.

Lu Li was very certain about this.

Because when he discovered advanced life pheromones, he had conducted a series of experiments.

For example, if he wanted someone to feel fear, the trail pheromones would make them perceive terror.

Or if he wanted someone to become infatuated, the trail pheromones would instill feelings of closeness and dependency.

However, no matter whether Julia Giannini pounced on him, or Liu Kexin felt an urge when near him, none of it was due to trail pheromones.

It’s simple, with his trail pheromones turned off and not conveying any specific intention, how could they possibly affect Liu Kexin?

From this, Lu Li understood that her urge was likely influenced by his sex pheromones.

And this sex pheromone, very likely turned into a ”superpower” after his third deep evolution, which isn’t uncontrollable like ordinary people.

Or, it has become as potent as the trail pheromones.

It might even disregard the different types of pheromones received by gays or lesbians.

After all, previously when Liu Kexin was influenced by trail pheromones, she didn’t exhibit this kind of urge.
