Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 340: Volume 4, Chapter 69 Hunter_5

Personal heroism is not always fun.

After deduction, the stepped terrain five kilometers ahead, with excessive altitude drop and the swamp below, would make these Mechas like a flock of sheep entering a pen. Previously spread out over the vast hills, they would now have to gather downward along a narrow gentle slope. Talk of advancing side by side in three wings is just a joke.

If one insists that this joke can be realized, descending through the jump layer would be necessary, meaning activating the auxiliary thruster upon landing and temporarily becoming a slowly descending mid-air target!

Mechas are not fighters after all. Strong engines and superior terrain adaptability ultimately have limitations. If a Mecha’s free-fall force exceeds the auxiliary thruster’s capacity, it will still shatter into pieces.

The jump layer can be used positively or negatively. What seems to be a dead end for Leray Mechas can still be utilized.

The condition lies in whether thirty [Hunters] can entangle the enemy!

Yes, the battle happening ahead is not the Desic Empire entangling the [Hunters]. Quite the opposite, thirty [Hunters] are attacking the 137th Division’s Second Group, whose communications were disrupted after discovering Leray people’s split forces!

In the instant when the [Logic] handheld blade pierced the chest of the [Thunder Warrior] like lightning, Wassim closed his eyes, a sinking feeling in his heart.

Fooled, from start to finish, this was a trap aimed at him!

The [Thunder Warrior] stood quietly, watching the Mecha guards around him, less than a company, being slaughtered.

Those dozens of strange new Mechas finally drew their weapons, ion daggers!

Each Mecha holding one.

Like hunters, coldly observing their prey.

Then, they dashed down from the forested hillside, like a shower of flying arrows.

The ”swish swish” sound was chaotic and sharp.

In an instant, these incredibly fast killers, like lightning cutting through night, plunged into the unprepared Desic Mecha group.

Every swing of the ion daggers was coldly stunning, lethal!

Each flashing Cold Radiance ion dagger easily penetrated all Desic Mechas’ armor, like a silver needle piercing through tofu.

”Thrust! Thrust!” Each sound was a death curse!

Wassim closed his eyes again. He knew what ion weapons mean to ordinary Mechas.

Especially these ion weapons with a Cold Radiance longer than the weapon itself!

Piercing damage!

This term, generally eliminated in Mecha warfare, appeared once again, real and cruel before him.

He suddenly laughed. These damned Leray Mechas, such weapons are enough for them to confront his army head-on!

Yet, they had held back until now.

This was a rare one-sided slaughter in Mecha warfare.

Originally, Ninth Generation Mechas possess overwhelming advantages in both attack and defense against Eighth Generation Mechas, let alone Seventh Generation Mechas, which are dominated by Eighth Generation Mechas.

Seventy [Hunters] swiftly maneuvered through the enemy’s hastily fired artillery, like entering an uninhabited land!

”Kill!”

Torick pierced the chest of a [Black Armed] Mecha in front of him with a single thrust, then turned around, his dagger cutting off the head of another [Black Armed] Mecha!

”Kill!”

The [Hunters] responded, crashing into the denser Desic Mecha group, unleashing a bloody maelstrom!

One after another, Desic Mechas fell or exploded.

Even the few [Royal Banners] had no room for resistance before these grotesque killers.

They had long become the primary attack targets, overwhelmed like lambs by the wolf-like [Hunters], and were cut into pieces.

In just a few minutes, when Vasili opened his eyes again, all he saw were remnants, with no complete Desic Mecha left in sight.

Fatty Tian was dumbfounded: ”Damn it, who just bet time with me?! Despicable!”
