Chapter 334: Volume 4 Chapter 68 Breakthrough_2

Tian Xingjian patted Rashid and Stewart on the shoulders and said with a smile, ”Damn it, no need to be so tense. The current situation isn’t too bad considering our future life behind enemy lines. I’ve already devised a plan. As long as we follow it, fight fiercely, and flee quickly, we can break out of this encirclement.”

Opening the terrain map, Fatty pointed to a canyon thirty-six kilometers ahead of the team and said, ”There are two plans. The team must cross the Hengduan Mountain Range in front within half an hour, then march quickly to seize the high ground on the right side of the canyon before the enemy arrives. Before engaging the enemy, we need to prepare for an electronic attack to achieve strong suppression right at the start of the battle, completely paralyzing the enemy’s communications and command systems. The battle must be swift and decisive, aiming to rout the enemy. After dispersing them, leave a battalion to continue the pursuit, preventing the enemy from regrouping. The rest of the troops will immediately disengage and move northwest, hiding here...”

Stewart followed Fatty’s finger and looked, astonished, ”Diya City, isn’t this the logistics base of the Mythical Army and their major troop assembly area!”

”Only by disappearing here can we avoid being detected by the Desic Empire’s SkyNet. Gallipalan’s SkyNet System is in our hands, and this place has enough space for us to use,” Fatty affirmed.

”But once the battle starts, the two Desic Empire Army units to the west and east will definitely notice. By then, I’m afraid...” Rashid couldn’t hold back his worries any longer.

”This issue is precisely the second part of my plan,” Fatty said, pointing again to the canyon thirty-six kilometers ahead, ”We’re moving here, but it’s not necessarily to fight the enemy. I observed that this Mythical Mecha Group isn’t targeting us; they’re likely searching for a small squad or a few individuals. Moving there isn’t a result of unified command from the Desic Empire. If we can maneuver through this mecha group, we can escape without firing a shot. This is our primary plan...”

Fatty licked his somewhat dry lips and continued, ”However, events don’t always go as planned. The Mythical Mecha Group has to pass through this canyon, and they’ll certainly deploy recon teams around it. If our two regiments are spotted by any of these recon teams, a battle will be unavoidable. Moreover, I’ve calculated that they’ll need twenty minutes to pass through the canyon based on their current search formation. During this time, it won’t be easy for us to remain fully hidden.”

Fatty’s finger moved along the canyon and then back to the southeast giant shrub forest: ”However, this period also gives us an opportunity to launch a preemptive attack here! Lead them on a wild goose chase. This way, even if we have to resort to the first plan and fight, these two Desic Empire units won’t be able to turn around immediately.”

”This is called ’sending out troops to the east while running to the west!’” Fatty concluded triumphantly.

Rashid and Stewart only needed a glance to understand, and they both said, ”I’ll go!”

Fatty shook his head and said, ”You can’t compete with me for this job. When it comes to running away, that’s my skill. Besides, only one company can go. If the act isn’t convincing enough, the enemy won’t be fooled. Every aspect needs to be perfect to divert these two units. Don’t argue, I’ll go. I’ll meet you in Diya City later.”

Rashid reluctantly nodded at Tian Xingjian’s resolutely firm words and said, ”Alright, I’ll have Torick accompany you. His Sharp Blade Company just got equipped with the Federation’s new 9th Generation Single Soldier Mecha, and they’re eager to test its power.”

”9th Generation Single Soldier Mecha?” Fatty was taken aback. He looked at the dozens of slender yet powerful human-shaped mechas and asked curiously, ”What’s the name of this mecha? Is it self-developed by us?”

”You’ve been abroad, so you don’t know the situation at home,” Rashid laughed. ”This is a new generation of Special Individual Mecha developed with technological support from the Feiyang Republic’s military laboratory, designed in conjunction with the Central Military Academy. It’s named ’Hunter.’ It has all the capabilities of the 9th Generation Mecha. The Gallipalan Military Academy also participated in weapon design. The first batch of 200 units was equipped to the Aviation Marine Corps’ First Armored Division Fierce Tiger Special Brigade and the Army’s 3rd Armored Division Fierce Tiger Special Brigade. The second batch of 100 units was given to our Special Reconnaissance Group.”

”Gallipalan College also participated in the weapon design?” Fatty looked at the aggressively-styled ’Hunter,’ thinking of Milan, who might have been involved in designing the weapon system, and suddenly felt a sense of familiarity. He nodded and said, ”Alright, let Torick bring his Sharp Blade Company with me. Follow the marching plan, and I’ll catch up with you.”

Torick was now promoted to battalion commander. When he heard he was to carry out an important mission to lure and intercept the enemy with Fatty, he called his deputy battalion commander to give some instructions and immediately assembled the Sharp Blade Company. He had immense respect for this former deputy company commander. Even if it meant charging an entire mecha group with just a company, he’d follow Fatty without hesitation.

Driving an enhanced ’Vajra’ and watching his subordinates cautiously advance in a search formation through the vast jungle, Osullivan felt a bit frustrated.
