Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 303: Volume 4, Chapter 55, Mecha Martial Arts

The golden Warhammer shot forward like a missile, its legs aiming straight for Logic’s back.

Tian Xingjian’s right hand was almost too painful to lift, spasming as he barely managed to turn Logic’s body to the side; still, he could not avoid the rapid consecutive kicks of the golden Warhammer, which cracked like thunder. With a series of ”bang bang bang” sounds, Logic’s body shuddered, and the auxiliary transmission rod on its left arm was broken off.

Golden Warhammer succeeded with its strike, landing and twisting its legs, causing its body to spin like a windmill. Its battle axe carved an arc through the air, suddenly slashing towards Logic’s waist. Fatty gritted his teeth and switched the left control lever to the lowest engine gear, pulling and lifting it. Amidst the engine’s fierce trembling, his right hand turned fingers into palm and struck the keyboard. Logic surged forward, crashing headfirst into the golden Warhammer’s chest.

This head-on collision was truly unexpected. The golden Warhammer, fierce with momentum, was abruptly halted by Logic’s sudden advance. The small arm wielding the axe was bounced off Logic’s side, and the golden Warhammer’s chest lost balance as if hammered by a great force, stumbling backward uncontrollably.

This intimate grappling technique originated from ancient Chinese Martial Arts, known for its compact and powerful close-quarters combat. At this moment, Fatty’s hand speed dropped drastically, and Logic’s external auxiliary transmission rod on the left was already cut short by his enemy. With its mechanical hand losing the dexterity of its five fingers, he resorted to this move. Unexpectedly, it succeeded in smashing the golden Logic apart.

Fatty’s eyes lit up, thoughts racing. With no time for the golden Warhammer to steady itself, Logic’s left foot moved swiftly, lowering its body and striking the golden Warhammer’s right side waist with an elbow thrust.

The golden Warhammer’s raised right hand wielding the axe was again pinned by Logic’s headfirst charge, making it retreat further. Before it could gain distance, Logic abruptly accelerated, the mech’s body pressing tightly against the golden Warhammer, fiercely crashing its head into the golden Warhammer’s head.

Aistrazzi gritted his teeth in hatred. Judging by the toughness of their heads, his Warhammer was clearly not as robust as this dilapidated Magic Beast that could headbutt it away. If critical components like the radar, long-range viewer, near-sight viewer, and distance meter were damaged, Warhammer would be rendered useless!

Seeing the large head of the broken Magic Beast charging straight at him, Aistrazzi had no choice but to yank the control lever and operate the golden Warhammer to retreat rapidly in a straight line.

However, no matter how the golden Warhammer retreated, Logic stuck to it like a shadow, delivering elbow strikes, knee hits, and headbutts. Sticking to its right waist and abdomen like glue, Logic kept on interfering at close range, preventing the battle axe in Warhammer’s right hand from swinging effectively at all!

The two mechas advanced and retreated in the bushes, both employing intricate techniques, exchanging blows with shoulders, elbows, knees, and heads, their clashes creating a rapid barrage of metallic impacts.

The more Aistrazzi fought, the more shocked he became. He had not expected this dilapidated Magic Beast, which seemed to execute irregular movements, to withstand his super-speed assault of forty-six actions per second. Not only did the storm-like attacks fail to injure its vital points, but he also couldn’t break free from its grasp! From any angle, the Magic Beast’s combat moves were entirely unorthodox, almost upending the principles of Mecha Fighting. The mech’s speed and power, as well as the operator’s hand speed, lost their usual decisive roles under the bizarre moves of this Magic Beast!

Facing an opponent with a hand speed of forty actions per second against his forty-six, Aistrazzi was already astonished. But what he didn’t know was, the seeming high-speed exchange between Logic and the golden Warhammer was conducted with Fatty’s right hand, stiff as wood!

Furthermore, Fatty’s hand speed was progressively slowing down.

Watching Fatty’s mecha controls, Bonnie found herself utterly unable to describe her shock.

With thirty mecha control keys, Fatty’s sweat-dripping right hand moved laboriously slow, yet Logic managed to not only repel the enemy’s torrential attacks but also press forward. This was a complete upheaval of mecha combat!

Bonnie kept her eyes fixed on every action Fatty took. No matter how she analyzed it, she couldn’t understand how these seemingly simple and bizarre moves could produce such miraculous power.

Bonnie questioned herself; if she were in such a situation, she might have already been captured long ago. How could a hand speed of under twenty actions per second counter over forty actions per second?! Moreover, their opponent was a Level 9 Mecha Warrior like Reinhardt, whose experience and skills far surpassed those of an ordinary mecha warrior.

Being a Level 9 Mecha Warrior was not just a title; it represented a state, a legend, the ultimate goal for every mecha warrior!

Only those who overwhelmingly dominated Level 8 Mecha Warriors were eligible to be promoted to Level 9. Moreover, Level 9 marked the true divide between top mecha warriors and ordinary ones! In human society, there were tens of thousands of Level 8 Mecha Warriors, but those who were Level 9 or above numbered less than a hundred!
