Chapter 339: Volume 4, Chapter 69 Hunter_4

In the explosion of the mecha and the roar of the energy cannons, the entire left flank of the 137th Division turned into hell in an instant.

”The enemy suddenly turned around and attacked us, we...”

”Left flank requesting support, left flank requesting support!”

”Third Company, Third Company, get up there and engage them!”

”Maintain distance, maintain distance! Don’t let them get close!”

The communication channel of the left flank of the 137th Division was in chaos, then the channel was covered by a powerful interference, merging the chaotic sounds into a piercing screech.

When the main force and the right flank of Wassim’s middle route completed the tactical encirclement to prevent the enemy from changing direction to the right flank, they only saw six Eighth Generation [Listening] electronic mecha lying on the ground, clearly the first ones to be heavily attacked. And on the five hundred meters long pursuit road, over fifty [Black Armed] and two [Royal Banner] had already turned into burning wreckage.

The left flank was only equipped with six [Listening], so they had lost electronic resistance. No wonder the communications were disrupted. It seemed that the Federation Mecha in that company had already targeted these six [Listening].

Listening to the distant roar of the energy cannons, Wassim’s face twitched with a sinister smile. He still had more than sixty [Listening] in hand, which was enough. He spat out a word viciously: ”Chase!”

The 137th Division quickly redeployed its wings and charged directly towards the intense front line combat zone. Wassim believed that although the left flank had been hit, the mecha configuration of the two battalions ensured they had an absolute numerical advantage. Even if they couldn’t crush the Leray Mecha Battalion, they should be able to entangle them without any problem! As long as he could lead the main force to catch up and surround them, these Federation Mecha would be annihilated one by one in the ensuing chaos.

”Our men must have engaged them at the front, they won’t be able to escape this time,” the Fatty flattered from the side.

Wassim’s mood suddenly improved a lot. He found that this Mythical Army warrior was indeed a smooth talker.

Under Wassim’s strict orders, the entire 137th Division, like a frenzied fierce beast, desperately rushed towards the sound of the firefight.

The several-kilometer distance was almost covered in an instant.

Relying on the electronic resistance of the dozens of [Listening] electronic mecha within the main force, the communication channels remained clear, and reports from the two wings of the 137th Division came through:

”Reporting to the division commander, we have reached the combat level position and are beginning to execute the forward encirclement. However, the terrain is a step jump layer with a narrow descending channel, we need time. The 2nd Regiment is entangled in combat with the enemy, and there are signs of the enemy disengaging!”

”Don’t let them get away!” Wassim roared, waving his hand and urgently ordered: ”Direct Guard Company, cooperate with 3rd Battalion of the 5th Group and 4th Battalion, quickly advance forward, reinforce 1st and 3rd Battalion of 2nd Regiment, pin the enemy to the spot!”

The descending step jump layer is a special terrain in mecha pursuit combat.

If the pursued side cannot pass through the jump layer before the enemy, and the enemy occupies the bottom of the jump layer first, when the mecha descend and activate the auxiliary thrusters, that slow-motion-like action is enough to make every descending mecha a live target for the enemy!

Wassim, too tense to think carefully, only knew that if he could hold this unit, allowing the encircling troops from the two wings to quickly occupy the bottom of the jump layer, then this Leray Mecha Unit, no matter how capable, wouldn’t be able to escape!

But if he couldn’t hold this unit and let them occupy the bottom of the jump layer first, then with the power demonstrated by these Ninth Generation Mecha, they might inflict disastrous damage on the mecha in the descending two wings!

”Hold, must hold! Center route, speed up, you must firmly pin them down before they enter the descending channel!” Wassim continuously issued orders, commanding the two battalions by his side to quickly catch up, while secretly praying that the two battalions of the 2nd Regiment could secure these crucial few minutes!

Wassim’s prayers seemed to have worked. A few minutes later, he received reports from both wings: ”Reporting to the division commander, our unit has successfully reached the bottom of the jump layer and is implementing the encirclement!”

”Good!” Wassim clapped his hands with joy.

”Great!” Fatty applauded enthusiastically, beaming with joy.

[Vajra] posed a celebratory high-five with [Thunder Warrior], hitting Wassim’s back with a loud slap!

Wassim frowned, feeling irritated. This Mythical Soldier had no sense of decorum. Who did he think he was, thinking he could celebrate with him?

Just as he was about to rebuke, he suddenly noticed a flash of cold light in the massive palm of [Vajra]!

At the same time, in the forest on the right, dozens of [Hunter] mecha emerged like ghosts appearing in the night sky, moving slowly and coldly with a fierce killing intent emanating from them.

Tian Xingjian grinned sinisterly. To successfully withdraw after luring the enemy, he had thought long and hard, finally deciding to use the [Hunter]’s superior mobility and the terrain to break apart this Desic Mecha Force piece by piece.

Capture the leader to capture the bandits. As long as he secured the highest commander of this unit, he could retreat leisurely.

However, because Wassim was heavily guarded, Fatty never thought he could get close to him. Moreover, with his naturally cowardly personality, even if he had the chance, he wouldn’t want to take the risk alone!
