Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Su Huan delivered a single-word order to Qu Hang, but passing it down became much more troublesome.

According to the standard of the train, five hundred people constitute fifty basic units. Even if there are officer teams to share the command details, it’s not that easy. Not only does he have to consider traditional combat methods, but he also has to account for each team’s evolutionary abilities. Fortunately, evolution also affects the brain, allowing him to process more information.

After spending about ten seconds thinking, Qu Hang swiftly issued more than twenty combat directives to officers at various levels.

”...Sensing teams are to provide enemy location and quantity information to me every minute and terrain change information every three minutes.”

”Team Three is designated as the special operations team for this mission. Personnel skilled in sensing, medical, and firepower tasks are temporarily grouped into Team Two, while other close-combat personnel will enter the battlefield from points D and E three minutes after the second round of fire suppression, choosing targets freely.”

”Each section will allocate two officer teams to monitor the surroundings and avoid ambushes.”

...

”Observe the trainmaster’s position, keep your distance, and do not approach the battlefield of the Tier Three Evolver.”

”Unless all the officers from the task division group are killed, I will not intervene in any command, and battlefield command authority will be decentralized step by step according to the rule.”

”There will be no restriction on ammunition conservation for the upcoming battle; employ all means to strike the enemy!”

”...”

As the orders were issued, officer teams quickly clustered under their respective officer groups, converging on the brick factory from all directions.

Under the command of officers at all levels, they fought based on five-man teams as basic units, eliminating the forces within the brick factory.

If it were traditional warfare, such complex and dense commands would undoubtedly cause command chaos, but for a team entirely composed of Evolvers, it’s just child’s play. Each Tier One Evolver can be seen as a combat node, allowing them to choose their combat methods freely, provided they don’t violate the grand operation plan.

They can use traditional firepower coverage, gradually pulling away, or toss aside their guns and leap forward to kick over the enemy machine-gun positions.

Even within the Armed Corps, there is no obligation to cooperate with allied forces unless their direct superiors issue explicit orders.

Compared to traditional armies, the Corps is more like an integration of special forces, with high freedom in each team’s operations. They need not consult their superiors for everything; if they think they can accomplish it, they go for it. As long as they survive, nothing is of great consequence. The Corps won’t punish you for recklessness, only for failing to complete your assigned tasks they’ll increase your training.

Qu Hang stood on a signpost, the muzzle of a sniper rifle subtly jumping. Instantly, a hole exploded in a distant red brick wall. A swift figure leaped through a window, with furious shouts following from inside, quickly coming to an abrupt end.

Having taken out a node, Qu Hang didn’t feel proud, merely calmly set down the sniper rifle and locked on the Power Armor Helmet.

The wind told him a more troublesome enemy had arrived.

”We clearly agreed on a deal, yet you damnable Donghuang People have repeatedly deceived us. All of you should die!”

A furious voice came from inside a factory, but to Qu Hang’s ears, it was just a string of gibberish. However, he was more attuned than anyone else to the familiar sound of ammo belts being loaded.

In front of him, the factory wall shattered suddenly, with ceramic tiles outside making heart-rending cries under the metal flood.

In the midst of the metallic flames and building smoke, Qu Hang saw a burly man behind, red-faced with a thick neck, his stature imposing like a small giant. He held a six-barrel heavy machine gun in both hands, emitting roars as furious as gunfire from his mouth.

The heavy gun was stable in his grasp without a hint of wobble, as if mounted on a battleship.

Qu Hang didn’t need to judge; he instinctively knew these bullets would aim for his head, with few even reaching his chest.

Tier Two ”Furious Veteran.”

The unexpectedness of the situation meant Qu Hang could only move his eyeballs; the furious metal flood was already at his face.

As it was about to hit his Power Armor, all bullets seemed to lose their momentum.instantly, pausing in mid-air to form a dense metal ”barrage,” even if the subsequent bullets clashed against them with a ringing sound, neither advancing a bit.

The Mao Bear wielding the heavy machine gun was wide-eyed. Before he could react, pain shot through his palms.

Looking down, his heavy machine gun had turned into a metal porcupine, piercing through his palms, with the gun mechanism issuing a jammed sound.

But the real concern was the arrival of an equally strong Tier Two aura behind him!

Twenty meters away, there was a seemingly ordinary Power Armor standing there. Behind the semi-transparent helmet, metallic eyes were revealed.

”Boom! Boom! Boom!”

Naturally, Qu Hang wouldn’t waste such a good opportunity. As Master Eight controlled the metal barrage, he had already activated the high-explosive grenades within the Power Armor, launching them without reservation in an instant.

Then, he adjusted the barrage direction within the explosion smoke according to the airflow movement. With the ammunition capacity carried by the ”Guardian,” his barrage not only matched the opponent’s multi-barrel heavy machine gun but was even fiercer and more sustained!

From the smoke, a thick sound pierced the air. The blood-stained heavy machine gun was hurled out like a shell.

Yet, like those bullets, it was intercepted mid-air by Xiaoba, placed outside the battlefield.
