Chapter 1231: Chapter 416: Fusion

After thinking it over, Barnes decided to at least go down to check the situation.

On one hand, he felt that if he missed this opportunity, it might not come again.

If the opportunity arises but isn’t seized, regret is sure to follow.

On the other hand, Barnes believed that his strength should be comparable to Rein’s. Even if he couldn’t defeat the opponent, the opponent surely couldn’t defeat him either.

In terms of safety, he considered the problem to be minor.

Lastly, there’s another point.

If he went to the valley below now, Reagan and Bronson would have less distance to travel, and the three could meet up sooner.

So, Barnes packed up his belongings, picked up the device box for collecting Bloodline Essence, and swiftly headed towards the valley where the battle disturbances had just come from.

....

Meanwhile.

Imperial City Tamriel.

In the command hall on the second floor of the Star Mage’s Platform.

”Have we made contact?” General Augustus immediately asked when he saw Tatia return from the adjacent room.

Only to see Tatia shake her head, her pretty face solemn, and said:

”I’m sorry, General Augustus. The liaison has been continuously trying to make contact, but due to energy interference, it’s been fifteen minutes with no success in reaching anyone from the three teams.”

”Also, a message from the Imperial Guard just came in, they’re engaged in fierce battles with cultists at several locations in the suburbs of the Imperial City. Despite the opponents having a strong resistance, they’ve gradually narrowed the encirclement and cleared more than half of them.”

”News from the Royal Family: over at Falling Star Lake, Prince Menia Red Queen Menia personally went to handle the situation five minutes ago.”

Upon hearing the cascade of news from Tatia, everyone, including Marshal Alfred, nodded, indicating understanding.

Since the Imperial City is temporarily safe, the focus now should naturally be on this side of the Secret Realm.

This has instead increased the pressure on everyone.

”Dalain, has the energy disturbance weakened now? Can we check the situation inside the Secret Realm?” Marshal Alfred turned his head to ask.

The first priority is to quickly figure out the situation inside the Secret Realm.

Upon hearing this, Dalain immediately began chanting a spell. As colorful Witchcraft Light surrounded him, the next second, Grand Astromancer Dalain shook his head and said:

”The interference remains, but it has eased considerably. In a few minutes, we should be able to check the situation within the Secret Realm. However, the scenes we see may not be very stable then.”

”As long as we can observe it’s fine.” Upon hearing Dalain’s words, Alfred’s expression slightly improved.

After all, as a commander, if you can’t see the situation within the Secret Realm, how can you command?

...

Dragon Valley Secret Realm, in the valley on the west side of Flame Mountain.

The battle between Rein and the sisters Areda and Ailida continues.

”Sister, watch out!”

After Rein entered the First Stage Transformation, his speed and Strength increased by several folds. Using the cover of dust from the explosion, a five-meter-high giant figure drew a curve and quickly reached seven or eight meters behind Areda’s side.

The fighting style varies depending on the form, and after transforming into a Dragon-man, the Dragon-man’s fighting style applies naturally!

At this moment, Rein, running like a bulldozer, with the fierce air currents formed by fast-moving Dragon-man Warrior Form behind him, created a long earthen dragon dozens of meters long.

As for the trees around him, large and small, they fell sideways like crops being cut down.

The magnitude of his momentum made the hairs on Areda’s neck stand up.

It felt as though an enormous beast was watching her, her heart heard alarms go off!

”Roar!!!”

Just as Areda was about to cast a spell to attack, an ear-splitting giant roar burst from Rein’s mouth, and several rings of circular air wave swept all around, causing Areda to freeze for a moment.

Before she could completely snap out of it, a massive Dragon Claw the size of a grindstone bore down on her abdomen!

”Pow! Pow!”

The double-layer Witchcraft defense on her body instantly shattered like bubbles, but fortunately, these two Witchcraft defensive layers gave her just enough resistance to react by pulling in her abdomen and tensing all her muscles.

”Bang!”

In the instant of being struck!

Areda was like a cannonball, her already agile body soared backward, knocking down seven or eight large trees embraced by two people, spilling blood all along the way!

But before she hit the ground.

The powerful Dragon-man Warrior Form had already appeared in front of her again, swinging its Dragon Claw down heavily!

At this moment, Areda was overwhelmed with fear!

”How can it be so strong!”

If this hit were solid, Areda was certain she’d become a pile of flesh on the spot!

”Sister!”

Not far away, her sister Ailida screamed, while simultaneously using the Twin Shift again.

With the two exchanging positions, Ailida suddenly appeared in front of Rein, her battle blades crossed defensively before her chest, using all her strength to block Rein’s downward Dragon Claw strike!

”Clang!!!”

Although Ailida was known for her speed and agility, Strength was not her forte and she was already outmatched by Rein.

And now Rein had transformed into a Dragon-man Warrior, increasing his Strength by several folds, making the gap even larger, and Ailida’s body was driven halfway into the ground.

Now, her arms were bent shakily, maintaining the defensive posture, but her eyes had rolled back, and her head buzzed unrelentingly...

She felt as though her entire body’s bones were cracked, her entire body limp and weak, unable to muster any strength!

Ailida knew she couldn’t hold out against a second strike!

Her only option was that move!
