Chapter 1208: Chapter 407: Recruitment_4

”Thank you, Lord Hamadi, for the praise,” Rein smiled slightly and said.

”By the way, Envoy Treena, when did she return to the Federation? I haven’t had the chance to thank her for the last matter yet.” Seeing Hamadi, Rein couldn’t help but recall the high-ranking, voluptuous beauty.

And the three Soul Energy Crystals that Treena had entrusted Hamadi to give to him at that time.

Just as Hamadi was about to say something, he suddenly noticed, with his keen sense of observation, that when Rein mentioned Envoy Treena, he bore an expression not of gratitude, but of appreciation.

This instantly made Hamadi think of something.

The beauty, Jennifer, Treena...

Hiss~ Could it be that this young man is infatuated with Envoy Treena?

This....

”Ahem... Envoy Treena stayed in the Imperial City for about a week. After finalizing some matters with the Empire, she returned to the Federation with her delegation.”

Although Rein was a bit surprised at Hamadi’s sudden pause, he didn’t think much of it.

Moreover, Rein did not inquire about the visitor’s purpose, as since the visitor came of their own accord, they would inevitably speak of the main issue.

Sure enough, after some pleasantries, Hamadi’s expression became solemn and he said:

”Lord Rein, I came this time with important news to inform you.”

...

”As it stands, the Imperial Swordsmen and the Ocean Goddess Church seem to have their eyes on us. We must speed up the Black Flame Prayer Ceremony.”

”Otherwise, they might discover and destroy it prematurely. We are currently no match for the Empire and the Church’s strength.”

”Well, what is the worship master’s proposal on how to speed it up?”

”The worship master wants to directly expand the scale of the sacrifice, not just simply increasing it to one or two hundred people, but to directly sacrifice a small town and complete the Black Flame Prayer Ceremony.”

”This would not only fulfill your dream, Duke, but also further awaken my lord, thereby granting us more power as followers.”

”What?!”

”Are you all insane?”

”Do you not realize that if a small town of thousands is sacrificed, it would shake the entire Dragan Empire?”

”Has the worship master gone mad?” He roared angrily in frustration.

Though he was eager for quick success, he wasn’t a fool!

If he dared to do this, it would become a weakness for the Black Flame Church to control him, no, not just a weakness, but a direct hold on his Achilles’ heel.

Moreover, even if he succeeded in advancing to a higher level through the Black Flame Prayer Ceremony, in the face of the Empire’s high-level wrath, he would still be like an ant at the foot of an elephant, easy to be crushed to death.

As a descendant of the Count Habs family, he was deeply aware of the terror of the Empire’s official power, especially the current Empire Emperor, who was a super talent of the entire Empire in his youth, one of the top three figures in the history of the Royal Family.

Their strength was utterly unfathomable.

”Rest assured, we already have a preliminary plan for the entire operation. You might as well listen to our plan before making a decision.”

Contemplating silently for a moment, he nodded.

”Then go ahead and let’s hear it.”

”We have chosen....”

At this moment, Angus scratched his head and spoke to Rein a bit awkwardly:

”Captain, I need to ask you something, does your residence need guards? I have some companions who were injured and need a place to settle.”

”Rest assured, their strength is quite good, just missing an arm or leg, affecting their appearance a bit.”

”Your comrades from when you served in the military?” Rein raised an eyebrow and asked.

”Yes, Captain.”

”Ask them if they are willing to go to the guild.”
