Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys

Chapter 1207: Chapter 407: Enlistment (Part 3)

”The Bixiu Mechanization School, the Wizard School specializing in puppets and demon statues?” Hamadi immediately understood something.

No wonder the importance of Rein is so high.

Unlike the Dragan Empire, the Federation does not have creatures like giant dragons.

The Federation focuses on research of giant war magic statues, large airships, ironclad ships, modified cannons and steam engines, etc., to deal with crises that are imminent or already occurring.

”Exactly.” Roys nodded.

”Moreover, he has also participated in the Dragon Knight Reserve assessment this time, and if nothing unexpected happens, within a few years, he is likely to become one of the youngest Dragon Knights in the Dragan Empire.”

”Hmm... remove the ’one of’.” Marquis Roys paused and added.

This made Hamadi completely unsettled.

This is simply a top-tier talent tailor-made for the Eagle Federation.

The Federation has been coveting the Empire’s complete Dragon Knight training system for a long time.

But some crucial segments have always been unclear.

”So, your task is to do your best, using every possible means, to win over this young Lord Rein.” Roys revealed the reason for bringing Hamadi over.

After thinking for a while, Hamadi’s expression became solemn, and he said: ”Marquis, to be honest, as long as the Sword Holder Headquarters isn’t completely out of their minds, no one would let go of talent like Lord Rein.”

Roys naturally understood the unspoken implications in Hamadi’s words.

For such top-tier talent, the high echelons of the Empire are no fools and would naturally take great care of them.

Moreover, Rein would consider the risks of switching sides; successfully recruiting him would indeed be highly challenging.

”Under normal circumstances, it is indeed very challenging. But the issue is, within the Empire, there are certain individuals and factions who do not wish for this Lord Rein to continue growing.”

”This indirectly creates an opportunity for us.”

”I see...” Hamadi’s eyes lit up.

In that case, this matter might have a certain degree of feasibility.

If the third person on the talent recruitment list is pulled over to the Federation, what a significant achievement it would be?

With just a bit of thought, Hamadi realized that if he could accomplish just this one task in his life, then afterward, he could return to the Federation and relax completely.

Security, lifestyle, love, and money—if not spent recklessly, he would have no worries for the rest of his life.

”Hamadi, there is still some time for this matter, so there’s no need to rush. Think about the best angle to approach this.”

”Here’s the latest intelligence, take a look and tell me your thoughts in two days.” Roys said.

”At your service, Lord Roys.”

...

Soon, Hamadi returned and entered the study in his residence alone.

He first took out a blank sheet of paper and placed it on the desk, then picked up a quill and wrote the word ’Rein’.

After thinking for a bit, he added ’Women’, ’Wizard’.

Hamadi first focused on the word ’Women’. His first impression of Rein was that he seemed to have good fortune with women; several women around him appeared to have close relationships with him.

For instance, Baroness Jennifer of Flashgold Town still in the Mingster Province has a very intimate relationship with Rein, although, from a chronological standpoint, he knew Jennifer much earlier than Rein.

There’s also the talented female Knight Cleya from Count Habs’ noble family.

Then there were the two women he encountered early on in Flashgold Town... one seemed to be called Anna, and the other’s name he couldn’t recall, but her appearance seemed to indicate she was a barbarian girl, not a hard lead to follow.

Plus, there was the administrative officer recently transferred to the Imperial Swordsmen Headquarters—Olena, who apparently was Rein’s contact at the Mingster Branch.

That’s already five women.

Evidently, women might be a particular interest of Rein’s.

Or rather, perhaps not necessarily an interest, but at least it shows that Rein does not reject excellent and beautiful women.

Moreover, judging by the age range of these women, ranging from their twenties to around forty, seems unchecked, which further certifies this point.

Thinking of this, Hamadi’s eyes brightened instantly.

This means that if he could find a woman that Rein might be interested in, then the recruitment task would become much simpler.

Having realized this point, Hamadi then shifted his attention to the other word ’Wizard’.

After pondering for a moment, he furrowed his brows slightly and added ’Witchcraft’ and ’Spiritual Power’ after ’Wizard’.

This should also be an exploitable point.

Although Metal Series Witchcraft is rather rare, with the Federation’s backing, getting one or two Metal Series Witchcraft models shouldn’t be an issue.

Furthermore, there are potions and special items that could enhance spiritual power.

These were currently the few areas he could think of playing around with.

However, as he hadn’t seen Rein for some time, he should initially meet and chat with him to clarify the next steps.

....

Early the next morning.

An unexpected visitor arrived to see Rein.

In the reception room.

”Lord Rein, long time no see.”

”Viscount Hamadi, long time no see.” Rein said with a smile, his tone quite courteous.

He did not expect this Viscount Hamadi from Mingster to come all the way to Imperial City Tamriel.

Moreover, the man’s status was rather special; he was either a Federation spy or an Imperial noble inclined towards the Federation, so Rein naturally paid him special attention.

For Rein, Hamadi naturally showed admiration, and after a glance up and down, he couldn’t help but exclaim: ”Recently, I’ve heard about your achievements after arriving in the Imperial City, and they truly left me astounded.”
