Chapter 1215: Chapter 410: Preliminary Test (Part 2)

Now the question arises, after becoming flirtatious, will she still choose Rein?

Thinking carefully, it seems like the answer is still ”yes”!

In fact, without even considering the last trait, just the first two alone, Rein can attract the girls of the entire Empire.

However, regarding the flirtatious trait, she thinks she needs to have a proper talk with Rein; this cannot continue any longer.

”Rein, if you go to the orchard, and see a big red apple, would you pick it and put it in your pocket?” Cleya hinted.

”Well... I’d probably pick as many as I can eat, right?” Rein replied.

”Huh?” Cleya was instantly exasperated, her gaze sharp as a knife at Rein.

She didn’t believe Rein didn’t catch her underlying meaning.

However, the topic couldn’t continue, as the training room door suddenly opened.

At the door was a surprised barbarian girl named Lagaray, who hadn’t expected to see Rein and this noble girl named Cleya while she was planning to practice combat skills in the training room.

”Rein, I’m leaving first. Be cautious with matters related to the Dragon Scale Brotherhood.” Cleya said, preparing to leave.

Rein was facing quite a few enemies at the moment.

In that instant, Cleya suddenly realized something.

From her standpoint, it was neither suitable nor necessary to dwell on this issue anymore, lest it distracts Rein.

”Alright, Cleya, thanks for the help.”

As she left the training room, Cleya nodded slightly to Lagaray with a gentle smile to greet her.

And Lagaray returned the smile.

...

The next day.

Within the Bixiu Mechanization School premises.

Rein was assisting his mentor Mogaro in the production of the second improved Hellfire Demon Statue.

”With you here, the entire progress is more than double speed. Next time you have some free time, be sure to come and help.”

Mogaro, looking at the colossal figure before him, dusted off his hands, took a swig from a flat tin hip flask, and appreciatively remarked.

”No problem, mentor. If you plan to make a demon statue, just let me know in advance.” Rein smiled.

Including this improved Hellfire model, he now had two demon statues.

Under his request, each of the six-meter-tall statues carried a four-meter-plus dual-handed greatsword and a dual-handed warhammer on their backs.

”Rein, aren’t these two weapons a bit too large? They seem a bit out of proportion.” Mentor Mogaro, wiping the alcohol from his mustache, frowned slightly, as if realizing something.

With Mogaro’s experience, he could easily detect the disharmony.

”They are a bit long, but they more or less fit.” Rein chuckled.

He didn’t explain explicitly but knew that these gigantic weapons were mainly prepared for his transformation into Dragon-man form.

Even though the Dragon Valley Secret Realm has a cap at Epic Level strength, once he transforms into Dragon-man King form, he could be expelled from the realm; however, Rein has a three-stage transformation.

Under the states of Dragon-man Warrior in the first form and Dragon-man Captain in the second form, his transformed strength would be close to but not reach the Epic Level.

With one hammer and one sword in hand, Rein was confident that, with either of the earlier forms, he could take on Legendary Level opponents.

Let’s not forget, Rein’s ”King of Thousand Blades” Epic profession has never been fully wielded in Dragon-man form.

Upon hearing his proud disciple’s words, Mogaro naturally didn’t have more to say.

”Rein, should these two demon statues be moved now?” Mogaro asked.

”Yes, please arrange for an airship to transport them to the Sword Holder Headquarters. I’ll have someone there to receive them.”

”Alright, Audrey, please contact the airship hall, have them moved now.”

”Yes, mentor.” Audrey nodded and left the laboratory.

...

Two more days passed, and finally, the day of the preliminary test arrived.

On the first Sunday of the Harvest Moon.

At the Dragon Knight Reserve Camp located in the sixth ring of the Imperial City Temrael, nearly a hundred Legendary Level powerhouses of the Empire gathered, and Rein, Luther, and Halowin had also arrived.

Because everyone exuded a strong presence and rode on mounts several times the size of warhorses, even with only around a hundred people, the camp that spanned several football fields was packed to the brim.

The Empire’s territory was vast, with a population in the tens of billions, but this small group in front was second only to the pinnacle of the Imperial Guardian.

The strength of these Legendary Strongmen wasn’t just at the initial Legendary tier, but at least at the Senior Legend level.

”That’s the Second Prince Everton.” Luther whispered to Rein beside him.

Following Luther’s line of sight, Rein saw a somewhat effeminate young man sitting at the center of the dais, laughing and talking with an elderly man beside him.

At that moment, Rein clearly felt many discreet glances fix on him, but most looked and quickly shifted away.

After all, with their strength at such levels, they’re highly sensitive to being watched.

What displeased Rein a bit, however, was that in his rear-right, several gazes lingered for a long time, with a somewhat audacious vibe.

Rein seemingly casually glanced around and quickly identified the faces of those behind him.

The leader was a middle-aged man with dreadlocks, mounted on a Fierce Species beast—a Bone-devouring Vulture, exuding an aura of unapproachability.

The Bone-devouring Vulture was several times larger than a normal vulture, its eyes blood-red, with a bald neck covered in thick folds of skin, and a disproportionately large iron beak on its small head.

The name ”Bone-devouring” makes it clear; the vulture’s iron beak, with its remarkable attack power, could easily grind the hardest animal bones to devour the marrow.

Judging by their flying mounts, it wasn’t just one person.

The two others, though dressed differently, also rode Bone-devouring Vultures, indicating that the three were likely a group.

This made Rein a bit puzzled because, as he recalled, he didn’t seem to know these three people.

Nonetheless, he memorized their auras.

Despite the chaotic mix of various Fierce Species’ auras on-site, Rein’s keen senses caught a peculiar trace.

”Huh? This seems like... the aura of a Dragon Bloodline.”

”Could they be members of the Dragon Scale Brotherhood?” Rein couldn’t help but ponder.

Indeed, as Rein speculated, each of the three, while officially holding a public identity as a cover, secretly belonged to the Dragon Scale Brotherhood.

The dreadlocked man leading them was named Barnes, and the other two were Reagan and Bronson.

A few days prior, they received a secret mission notice from Buchanan, knowing they had to find an opportunity to obtain a sample of Rein’s blood essence during the Secret Realm re-test.

With the Second Prince overseeing the trial as one of the primary examiners, they had no worries about failing the preliminary test.

After gleaning information about Rein, all three of them sensed that this guy might be tricky, not an easy target.

It’s widely acknowledged that ’Carver’ Harold, touted as the strongest legend, isn’t all bluster.

Even among the three, Barnes, the most powerful, reckoned that even if using Bloodline Transformation, he’d only have a chance at tying with Harold, but winning would be challenging.

Harold’s Earth Witchcraft defenses were formidable.

Yet, this young man managed to kill Harold, an indication of phenomenal offensive capability.

Nonetheless, being a team of three, they had confidence, and Buchanan had prepared a set of sensing beads for use within the Secret Realm.

Once attaining the Secret Realm, through the bead’s internal link, they could quickly converge and go after Rein.

This time, they mainly wanted to re-evaluate Rein’s capabilities based on his preliminary trial performance.
