Chapter 1046: Fourth Round!

It was the third round of battle, and it was time for the last battle.

The next moment, a white light covered the two participants, and soon they appeared in the battle arena.

The two participants summoned their beasts, and soon after, two beasts appeared on the sides of their owners, respectively.

As usual, the screen inside the store showed the details of the beasts fighting in this battle.

The Dreary was a large bird with a wingspan of ten meters. Its feathers were a dull gray color. Its beak was curved and sharp, and its eyes were brown.

Standing opposite it was another bird species, the Storm Roc.

Ding!

The bell rang, announcing the start of the battle. Trish immediately made her move and commanded Storm Roc to use Thunderclap.

The Storm Roc beat its wings, and a shockwave originated from it, charging toward the Dreary.

The Dreary didnʼt dare take the attack head-on despite its strong physique since the attack had a hint of thunder, and thunderʼs destructive capability was nothing to joke about.

Time flew by, and the battle between the two continued.

The battle was no less than cruel and bloody as the Dreary was a physique-oriented beast, and it needed to fight head-on with its opponent.

Its grayish feather had turned brown from all its blood, and the Storm Roc was also in no good condition.

More time flew by, and the battle finally arrived at its last phase.

The Dreary activated Rampage. Its brown eyes began turning dark brown while its body began expanding.

The next moment, its speed and strength were on another level. The Dreary then charged at the Storm Roc, tearing through the sky.

The Storm Roc saw that it would be the last attack, so it also charged with thunder covering it.

The Storm Roc was a beast that manipulated wind and thunder, so the combination of its powers was no joke.

The next moment, the air around the roc turned into a thunder zone, attacking the Dreary.

Screech!

The Storm Roc screeched and gave everything in its next attack as a ray of purple thunderbolt smashed into the Dreary.

At the same time, the Dreary crashed into the Storm Roc with whatever energy it had left.

Boom!

The clashing force from the Dreary knocked the Storm Roc, sending it crashing into the boundaries of the battlefield.

Trish and Seron looked at their respective beasts with looks of concern, as neither of them was left in good condition after the last attack.

When the dust cloud subsided, the condition of the Storm Roc presented itself. Half its head had disappeared, and there was no breath left in it.

As for the Dreary, its charred corpse was lying in a pit below their clashing spot.

It was the first time that both beasts died at the same time since the start of the competition.

***

”The Storm Roc won,” Lily commented after the battle was over.

Aakesh nodded as the Dreary was the first to lose its breath. After the thunderstrike, the Dreary was only one step away from death, and after the clash, that last breath had also disappeared. The Storm Roc was alive at that time. Even though it died two seconds later, it didnʼt matter.

***

What Lily had commented showed on the projection as number 4, and Trish became the participant to pass the third round and step into the fourth round, while Seronʼs journey came to an end.

A white light covered Trish, while a red light covered Seron.

With the appearance of Trish in the seating area, the third round came to an end. There were ten battles in this round, and Ayriel automatically passed.

There were now six participants left at this stage, and the next moment, they were randomly assigned numbers starting from 1 to 6.

The three sets of battles appeared on the projection. The first fight was between participants 1 and 4, the second was between 3 and 5, and the third was between 2 and 6.

When the six participants saw the list of contestants, they looked surprised.

At this stage of the game, there were three clear contenders for the winner, Ayriel, Orek, and Elwynn.

And the sets were designed for this round in such a way that these three faced three different opponents. No one would believe that this wasnʼt intentional, but it wasnʼt, as Aakesh also wanted to consider the luck of the participants in their favor.

The first battle was between Trish and Ayriel.

The next moment, a white light covered these two participants, and they appeared on the battlefield.

The two participants summoned their beasts, and soon, two beasts appeared on the platform.

Roar!

The Chaotic Wyrm roared at the Storm Roc, making it kneel even before the battle began.

Trishʼs expression turned ugly, but since she could do nothing, she accepted it.

Ding!

The bell rang, announcing the start of the first battle in the fourth round.

The Chaotic Wyrm made the first move and appeared above the Storm Roc. Its claws smashed at the Roc.

The Storm Roc used Hurricane Winds, trying to push the Chaotic Wyrm back. But it did nothing as the claw kept coming without any stoppage.

Boom!

The claw smashed the Storm Roc to the ground, creating an explosion of dust.

The Storm Roc tried to stand up, but before it could, a mouth larger than its head appeared and bit it off, ending its life.
